🏳🌈 Pride 2022 Free References for LGBT in need ...
Posted 3 years agoHey yall! Every Pride month I try to provide free reference art for trans and nonbinary folk in need. Getting that first art piece can be a gateway to getting more, and (if you're like me) seeing your preferred body shape in art can help provide some gender euphoria, so I try to spread that along to anyone I can.
If you're interested in free art, the form is here: https://forms.gle/6CJtgx8tTtRo3Jm48
As a reminder, some general rules are I'm trying to provide stuff to people who don't already have art of themselves and or anything with their preferred current body, such as trans or nonbinary people. Please just be mindful that this isn't a free art grab-bag.
Thanks yall! And Happy pride!

Twitter poll about paper sketch YCH’s
Posted 4 years agoHeyo all, I know its been a while since I made a journal but I wanted to throw this up here as well.
I just posted a twitter poll asking if you would be okay getting a YCH in the form of a crude paper sketch. The relevant links can be found here: https://twitter.com/mobliemodle/sta.....799807488?s=21 and https://twitter.com/mobliemodle/sta.....413421572?s=21
Context: I doodle a lot at work, and draw a lot of comic planning for all my art on paper while at my dayjob. The downside is, I have so many of these and so much on my plate already that I don’t take a lot of time to digitize them, so they often float in a limbo of never getting used and, because theyre a sketch on paper, too “low quality” to sell as a YCH base mode. The question is: would you be okay with buying/ be interested in a paper sketch of a YCH comic? Or does it have to be digitial (or even, at times nearly finished) before you’d want to buy? Comments here are appreciated too but voting in the poll is the best way for me to see what people think

Sorry for the delay on content!
Posted 4 years agoThings in my life have been a bit of a rollercoaster as of late but im (hopefully) back on the rails!
Working on some trades, and hope to have the next page of the Goobit comic up on patreon. As some of my patrons know, I recently(😬😬) pulled the trigger on shifting from a 5 page goobit comic to about 12, so I hope to have the sketches of it out this week and page 2-3 of the newly reworked comic up this week.
September Patron's stickers coming out this week! Check it for those.
Thanks all!

🚨🚨🚨Inktober 2021 Preparations🚨🚨🚨
Posted 4 years agoHey yall, just wanted to make this 🔊 again so everyone sees it. There's been a lot of questions and interest in my inktober slots as they're going to be first-come-first-serve, so I'm making this lil head's up:
1) As a reminder, you can find all the details about Inktober here: Inktober Calendar 2021! | Moblie the Otter on Patreon
2) I've got a Patreon-Only scheduled post, in the same post I've got my commissions form in, set to launch on Sept 14th 1PM EDT (this upcoming Tuesday) for the Inktober slots. You'll be able to reserve your slots then. I'm scheduling the same post thru Postybirb for 1PM EDT for Sept 17th, EDT (Friday) for non-patrons. You'll be able to reserve your slots then. Mark your calendars if you're one of the people who've trying to get in when the doors open.
3) If you're one of my T3 patrons, you do not have to have a minimum purchase in order to claim your two free slots. Since number of slots are capped at three per person, and T3 patrons get two for free, if you only wanted two you do not have to buy a third if you don't want, and can just claim your free art. Please just make sure you include a username I recognize when filling out the form in order to make it less confusing.
If you have more questions, feel free to reach out!

🧡💛💚Small Announcement about Commissions during ...
Posted 4 years agoHi all! Just a small announcement about upcoming commissions during June, Pride month.
TL;DR I'm going to be pausing commissions for that month to give myself a break, work on some personal projects, and continue my mission of trying to gift art to trans and non-binary people who lack representation and lack art. Commissions will open again in July.
Breaking that down:
I want to give myself a small break, as normally what I've noticed with this little experiment of monthly comm's is it takes me about three weeks to clear my queue, then about a week or so of downtime before I reopen. Thru DM's and groupchats I've been noticing a growing interest in my comic comm's, which obviously take longer, so I feel like that window is going to narrow.
Following off of that, i have some personal art ideas that I want to work on, including some gift art, personal comics, and most importantly getting back into the habit of practicing art again, as I feel as if my quality has been rising and dipping from time to time, so i want to break out of my routine a bit and be able to deliver on better art in the future.
I've always felt like, within the fandom, one of the greatest hurdles to people upon feeling represented is having that first art piece which you can use to catalyze gaining more art. A lot of artists won't work without an image ref, which is totally fair, but I want to be able to provide those to whomever needs them, specifically, trans and nonbinary folks like myself who could benefit doubly from having art in their preferred combination of genitals and body shape represented in a way that can give some mental or emotional relief.
I've attempted similar things to people in the past in smaller or single sized batches, but for pride month I'm hoping to open things up to a wider audience. So... when it comes near time I'd normally open up a form for commissions, I'm going to instead post a form for people to submit and ask for free art, with a few rules.
1) Sadly, but obviously, depending on the popularity of this upon release I won't be able to get to everyone.
2) This is not a free-art-grab for anyone and everyone. I'm using an honor system, but my goal is to get art to 2.1) trans and nonbinary people 2.2) who currently cannot afford art and do not already own any art for themselves. If you're coming at me with an art reference image already, and are looking for more, then this isn't the place for it.
3) I cannot promise quality, and I cannot promise any specific poses, major edits, or overly or specific heavily detailed characters, but instead this is intended to be a foot in the door for people to get themselves more art when all they've had thus far is a text description.
Form will open around the 11th, more details then. If you're a fellow artist and interested in helping out, let me know and I might be able to delegate some work. This is not work for profit, but I personally find the charity a reward in itself.
Last bit, commissions will open back up again in July. I'm currently adjusting my prices for then, and the prices will speak for themselves once open.
Thank you all!

Taking a break from Commissions
Posted 5 years agoHi all, I know I rarely post here but I just wanted to drop a line to say that I'm taking a break from commissions and lots of new art for a hot minute so I can work on some art fundamentals again and try to get back in it hitting hard.
What this means:
1) I have a short comic for some friends as a gift that I wanted to wrap up then I'm not taking any more commissions
2) I am going to finish up the Halloween comic (yes I know its been slow) and then slow my role again and get back to practice stuff.
3) I hope to be able to do commissions again by the end of the year but if not its a good New Years Resolution to line myself up by.
Thanks all!

YCH/ Commission TOS [❗❗OLD❗❗]
Posted 5 years agoPlease Read the TOS carefully before filling out your commission info.
Upfront Rules:
* The artists reserve the right to decline working with any people that make them uncomfortable.
* The artists reserve the right to decline your commission idea.
* Disrespectful or rude behavior will not be tolerated, regardless of completion of compensation or not.
Payment:
* Payment must be received via Paypal invoice or Artconomy, payment is due before any work is to be completed.
* Failure to pay the invoice within 48 hours will result in the commissioner’s order being cancelled, and or if in a queue they lose their seat in the queue.
* Slots can be held for the commissioner for up to 24 hours.
* Any additional costs or charges will be quoted at the start of the consultation, but an additional charge may be included for heavy edits, lack of a reference, extra features not pertaining to the focus of the art, (additional dialogue, additional props,) extra anatomy (wings, horns, etc) or failure to include key and relevant details.
* If you do not have any other visuals and would still like to order, an additional fee will be charged for inadequate references. Ask if you are unsure.
* The customer is not permitted to use the artist’s work for commercial use or to make a financial gain. Printing or displaying their art for personal use is acceptable (for example) printing the work on a poster for personal use. Ask if you are unsure.
* In the event that the artist cancels an order, 100% refund will be awarded no matter the current progress of work to the client.
* If the client cancels and there has been any work started, including sketches, then no more than 50% the cost will be refunded.
* If the client cancels and there has been no work started, 80% refunded will be awarded for the time spent in discussing and processing their information.
Commission info:
* When constructing a commission request, please provide all the information in one Direct message. Please do not send multiple or misjointed messages as it makes it harder to compile the information in a constructive format. It is easier to respond to and to find later amongst my many other correspondences between other customers/people.
* References must be accurate as the artist will follow the character’s markings provided religiously. No large edits will be re-done or given because your reference is unclear and those will have to be requested.
* The artist is not responsible for details excluded outside of the original point of contact and agreement, and adding such details may incur an additional fee.
* Heavily shaded, 3D or traditional references will not be accepted unless they include a color palette.
* Commissioners will receive a completed high resolution file for personal use and a lower resolution file for posting when their commission is completed.
* Upon completion of the commission, only the artist and client can re-post the low resolution art image to any relevant website so long as the artist is credited for the art.
* If the client has approved the final piece, no edits or corrections will be made henceforth. When the piece is complete, a piece only qualifies for changes if due to the artist error.
Editing commissions is not permitted. This includes cropping, adding colour or altering colours or modifying the image in anyway without the artists written consent. If you would like to use them as an avatar, written consent is needed before being used.
Scheduling:
* Artwork will be completed within a timely manner and will provide an estimated due date for the order. The average time for completion is 14 days on smaller sketch orders.
* However the artists will do their best to deliver the commission within 2 months upon receipt of payment. Any unexpected delays will be communicated to the client directly.
Rights and Reservations:
* I reserve the right to upload your commission to any of my media accounts.
* The Artist holds all rights to any incomplete and completed work.
* Your artwork is for personal use only. You are not allowed to sell, claim as your own, etc. once I give it to you. You may own the character, but I retain the copyright to the image.
* Artists allow their character to be featured in a commission but it is to be expected you to pay the full price of an inclusion of the additional character and any additional costs that may arise.
* Artists retain the copyright to all visual concept art, incomplete and completed work/s. The artist does not claim or own the characters but does retain the rights to the artwork itself.

Update on Comic
Posted 6 years agoHey, just an update; I'm not just being some flake noobie artist who gives up half way thru doing art, but graduation is soon and specifically I'm trying to knit a sweater for my boyfriend before we graduate as a gift. I'm not not avoiding doing art right now but I'm just working on other crafts at the moment. Once I finish this I plan on making digital art a higher focus in my arts and crafts schedule.
