Update on my situation:
The electrical issue has been identified and isolated so I can get back to my regularly scheduled shenanigans. I do need to move my desk and PC back to it's original place and won't be doing that for a couple of days though as I have somehow managed to injure my foot recently and I don't want to risk making it worse. That being said, I should be able to stream on WiFi so should be able to get back to streaming soon, I may even stream tonight!
As some of you know I recently came down with COVID, I can confirm I am testing negative, I'm even back at work, and so commissions are back on! And, I'll be honest with you, right now I could really use the extra money so if you want a commission, I'd really appreciate the extra work :P
I do still have a mild cough, and my ears are a bit stuffy so my hearing isn't great atm, but I am pretty much back to my usual self.
In other good news, I have a job offer starting in July, so will be working more regular hours, meaning my stream schedule will likely change, but I'll keep you all updated with that.
Hope you're all doing well, and I look forward to spending time with you on stream soon!

Acknowledging my Lack of Activity

I just thought I'd put an update out on my current situation and explain why I haven't been streaming recently or posting much, and why I likely won't be doing much for the foreseeable future as well.
Up until yesterday the primary reason for my lack of activity was quite simply mental health related. The past 2 weeks have been incredibly stressful for me for multiple reasons including work related stuff, financial stuff and personal stuff. I won't go into specific detail but it's been a lot to deal with and I just haven't had the energy to keep up.
Yesterday, however, marked the biggest problem I'm currently facing. The house I live in has had an electrical problem and I am waiting on the landlord to call out an electrician. Unfortunately my landlords track record for getting repairs done is essentially non-existant, so it's likely this may take some time to deal with (assuming this situation doesn't end with me moving house entirely)
Because of this I will be unlikely to be streaming for a while because I have a lot to deal with at the moment, and even if I had the energy to stream I doubt I'd be in the most jovial of moods and that makes it less fun/chill for you guys.
My commissions are, as ever, still open, of course. But I won't be making things on stream for now.
So basically: don't worry about me too much, I'm still alive, but I'm probably going to be a bit on the quiet side for the next couple of weeks while I get stuff sorted. I'll post another update if anything changes, but for now that's how it stands.
As always, thank you guys for following me, watching my streams, favouriting my work and interacting with me. I appreciate you guys and your enthusiasm, and I hope to get back to normal soon!

Changes, New Ideas and Testing the Water
Posted 2 years agoSo, as some of you know there have been some significant changes in the last week or so. I'm gonna detail them here so everyone's up to speed, and then I'm going to detail some ideas I've had recently, for which feedback is welcome, especially just to see who would be interested or not, but also if there are any tweaks you might suggest.
The biggest change is obviously that I closed my Etsy store. While this was a difficult decision, as Etsy was a relative consistent, albeit small, source of income for me, there were reasons why I could no longer in good conscience continue to trade there. I have, instead, started my own website to sell my plushies, and of course custom commissions are always available through my social channels. (And my commissions are wide open atm so get in while you can!)
The next change is streaming: you may have noticed recently my streaming has been lax. I really did want to build the habit again but I had some computer issues I needed to fix. I will be returning to my stream schedule soon, however some things have changed, and more changes will be happening in the future. First, I am now twitch affiliate, so if you want to check out my streams, maybe drop a follow (and if you're someone who has Amazon Prime but does not use their free prime sub and wants to drop it on me please do!), you are always welcome. As some of you know I stream across multiple platforms and there will be changes to that which I will announce closer to the time.
Finally ideas:
I am currently developing ideas in order to encourage repeat business. These include the following:
1) Custom made plushies, designed with clothing options in mind. The idea being that I can design a plushie for you (anthro or feral), and keep hold of the various dimensions and design so that I can make clothing and/or accessories that can be swapped out and changed.
2) A "mystery plushie of the month", where it kind of works like lootcrate in that you don't know what you're getting until you get it. The idea being each month would be a different plushie, decided randomly, and people would preorder (for which there would be limited slots) and I would make them and ship them out all at the same time. I'm not sure I could set this up as a subscription on my new site, but the monthly variation might make people come back over and over again to keep collecting the plushies. The months could also have themes, like Halloween for October, Christmas in December, Pride Month and so on.

Commissions Changes
Posted 3 years agoDue to some practice and changes, I have now decided to offer "Animal Crossing" style anthros as part of my commissions. There will be an example or two put up on my gallery in the near future to showcase how I go about these.
Please ensure that if you do commission an anthro from me, you are aware of the style of the object before you order with me.
For full disclosure, my skillset includes, but is not necessarily limited to:
- Almost any animal
- Most Pokémon
- Animal Crossing style anthros
There are many animals and pokemon I have never crocheted before, but that does not mean I cannot make them. Anything I cannot find a pattern for I can usually work on freehand.
Animals and pokémon I have made can be found in my gallery, and you can reference this if interested in commissioning me so you know what I have and haven't done before, as I'm aware some people may be more comfortable commissioning things they have seen me make before and know that I can do.
Again, to be clear, my commissions are always open. I will be upfront about expected timings and where you are on my list. As you all should know by now I do take commissions for custom handmade plushies.
Please be aware the only guarantees I can make in terms of arrival before Christmas is on domestic orders (I.e. within the UK) place on or before December 1st. Any orders placed later than this date or not guaranteed to arrive before Christmas, so I recommend ordering early to avoid disappointment!
International orders do have varied postage times so I cannot guarantee they will arrive in time, so the best way to avoid disappointment is to order ASAP.
Reminder that deposits will be taken upon order, and full payment will only be requested once the order is complete and ready to be shipped (though you are welcome to pay upon ordering if you prefer).

New Potential Activity
Posted 3 years agoIf I was to start streaming "Crochet and Storytime with Orion", in which I basically sit and crochet and tell random stories from my (rather weird) life, would anyone be interested in watching?
Just something I'm considering doing soon, gives people a little insight into my process, potential commissioners could watch their items being made in real time (similar to commissioned art streams), it would likely be quite a chill vibe, and yeah. Just come and join me and discuss random events in my life XD

Commission Rules
Posted 3 years agoThese rules are subject to change at any time, but for now exist for the purposes of ensuring that me and any commissioners are on the same page, and that everyone is comfortable and safe in the knowledge that they have the same expectations.
1. I will NOT make any NSFW plushies.
2. I will usually provide an estimated time frame prior to agreeing to the commission. This time frame is subject to change depending on life demands.
3. I will take a 25% deposit up front to cover the cost of materials.
4. Any customisations are to be decided prior to the work beginning. Changes cannot be implemented partway through, and therefore it is important to know what you want prior to any work commencing. Customisations include, but are not limited to: Size, yarn colours (i.e. markings, unusual base colours, etc.), specific features, fluff (i.e. utilising a special yarn, or brushing out of yarn to create a fluffy effect), eye colour etc.
5. Please ensure your commission idea is within my skillset. My skillset at the time of writing includes: Animal, pokemon and anthro plushies, wearables (i.e. wristbands, beanies), other small plushies (i.e. the F-Bombs). If what you want is outside of these categories, quality cannot be 100% guaranteed.
6. Work will usually be done on commissions on stream nights (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday) unless there is a specific urgency in the time frame. If you need it done quickly, please let me know in advance.
7. Commission prices are exclusive of P&P, as this will vary by location.
