Posted 14 years agoOh Wow, I really am bad about staying regular on here.
Well, part of that is because I ran my old laptop into the ground.
Yes, poor Beatrix is dead.
My new laptop, Limblum, is a beast.
Real powerhouse.
Unfortunatly, I lost all my old art, with the loss of that computer.
The up side is, now I get to refill it.
That brings me to furfright.
I believe I promised some folks contact-cards.
If you're intersted, let me know.
Buniness aside now
Furfright was awsome.
Granted, I say that about every con, but still.
I stayed up for over 36 hours straight,
got to wear my sad excuse for a fursuit,
and met a lot of awsome furs.
Some new friends,
some old aquaintances,
all awsome.
This was, oddly enough, a on where I ran into nothing bad.
No bitching
no bullying
no rudeness
no dehydration
and only one dilerious person
...
me.
That said, never again shall I stay awake that long.
hm...well, a few good things happened when I was that tired.
I can't begin to list all my friends from FF.
Many folks would get missed, if only because I am bad at getting contact info.
Oh, it's killing me to think that I need to wait until FAU5 to con again.
I hope to see you all again, there, or at FF next year.
Oh, and good news.
I went a con with no car issues, nor getting pulled over.
Ever con, it seems, I need to talk to an office.
That's why I don't drive anymore.

Sorry for checking my FA so infrequently.
I've been busy with college.
Which brings me to my real topic.
I free up in a few weeks, and don't know what to do.
I am thinking of keeping my schedule free and dedicating my summer to artwork.
I may even take on an Iron Artist challenge.
Honestly, though, I don't know if there is the interest, and I'd need to have some income to not get crap from my family.
So, folks, I want to know if you think I can pull off a summer dedicated to art and design.
Be honest.
Sorry for checking my FA so infrequently.
I've been busy with college.
Which brings me to my real topic.
I free up in a few weeks, and don't know what to do.
I am thinking of keeping my schedule free and dedicating my summer to artwork.
I may even take on an Iron Artist challenge.
Honestly, though, I don't know if there is the interest, and I'd need to have some income to not get crap from my family.

I've been sick since FF.
Mix that with finals and holidays, then you have the reason I haven't gotten anything done.
I got a calligraphy pen and a vial of ink, so I should be doing some inked traditional works soon.
hopefully.
As for the two trades I have to do, don't worry, I haven't forgotten.
I just need to finish them up and post them.
If I haven't been battling my health, they would be done by now.
I also have some friends from FF to contact.
I write that here only as a way of reminding myself.

Posted 15 years agoI went to FurAffinity United 3, which was my first furcon(but not my first con). Honestly, it was a blast. I met a lot of cool and interesting people, not the least of which being 2 The Ranting Gryphon, Spunky, and Nek0gami (whom I talked to a bit before finding out it was him). My best times though, are the times I spent with newly-met friends. I would list the names, but I would feel like shit if I missed one. Thus, I will just say that they were many cool furs, whom I hope to see again.
I find that furcons are vastly different from any other con I have been to. At GenCon and Origins, the events and the dealer's hall are the highlights. At furcons(or at least FAU) I found the events rather...lackluster. That is not to say the con was bad, he exact opposite really. FA:U made up for the small size and lack of grand events with its great community. What I did at the con was inconsequential. What mattered was the people I was doing things with. Everywhere I went, I was meeting cool furs. Some where as new as I, others had been part of the furry community before I was conceived. Regardless of the differences, I found that I fit right in. As a friend of a friend(I think) said, "...there are no strangers, only friends you have never met." Those people made FA:U the more enjoyable con I have ever been to.
To those furs, and you will know if you are one of the ones I'm referring to:
