So, what's everyone doing?

Hey guys, normally I don't do this sort of thing. But I just heard from a friend that one of our own is having some trouble.  Cheska is having a hard time with her rent and is considering selling off some of her stuff. Check her journal, you might see something you'd want to buy. Cheska was one of the furries that really inspired me to write back in the day.

As for me, I'm fine. I've had a crazy few months and I'm guaranteed to have a few crazy more on the way. I'm going to try and write at some point over the summer, but I can't guarantee anything. My work's really time consuming. 8P

Hey, everyone. Sorry I'm not around much anymore. PhD will be done in 2016 so, you can imagine how crazy things are.

I just hate feeling like I'm losing touch with all of you. I've not heard from Yilia in months, haven't heard from Trancua in days, I feel like I'm on another planet sometimes.

Sorry about the lack of stories. My long-time watchers know I'm often slow, but this is because I'm finishing school. A PhD is a lot of work, a lot of reading and a lot of writing.

Despite my lack of stories I wanted to wish all of you Merry Christmas. Knowing you guys are around really keeps me going.

Hey guys,

I know I haven't been too active in the last while. Part of it is because things suddenly got very difficult with my loans and things for school. And because school started this week...

Well, it started for the freshmen, not for me. XD I'm just working on things while they do whatever it is new college students do. I'm actually more active than you might think. I'm keeping up with my favorites as best I can, but I'm having trouble getting the time to write. Additionally, I'm on-campus. Apparently they closed the ports that run programs I use to keep up with all of you. 8( Strangely, they don't have any issue with me using FA...

If you want to talk, note the pony. I'm around, but I have a WEIRD schedule right now. Meeting, meeting, training, meeting, social gathering, departmental guidance, meeting, adviser meeting, adviser social, meeting, training... It never ends. But at least I'm happy. XD

So, this morning about 4:15am I got up for water and saw a flea on the floor where Larry-cat eats. That flea died... Poorly, I might add. In what can only be described as a temper tantrum I did what I should have done in the first place.

I got out the carpet shampooer. >:3 But I went a little too far. I took two bottles of Larry's flea shampoo and added it to the mix. I got a big plastic sheet from something I ordered and coated it in Joy dish detergent and blocked the doors with it. I did this in every room and proceeded to deep clean everything. A few must have caught on in each room because every time I checked the plastic it was littered with them. After each room was done, and soaked in shampoo I set off a bug bomb and closed the door.

By about 9:30am I was opening the windows to let the fumes out and then running normal carpet shampoo and then vacuuming dry. By about 11:00am, everything was quiet. The few I found were lethargic. XD I soaped Larry's bed and dusted the furniture. The only ones that were alive and lively were, oddly enough, INSIDE MY ROUTER. 8( What the hell? Why would they go in there? Well, they too met a ghastly fate in the bathtub. What didn't die to alcohol wipes were air-dustered into a bathtub coated in joy and then splashed with a kettle of boiling water.

Larry's not scratching and I'm not hunting fleas down to crush with a mortar and pestle.

I'm a veteran of the Flea Wars now.

Hey guys,

So, I got Microsoft Office working. I start classes again in a week or so. Everything here is pretty good. I've been trying to get back in the swing of writing.

Larry still has fleas. 8( I've taken to... creative means of removing them. Boiling water splashed on the carpets. Boiling-water towels laid on the rugs. They're getting to be fewer. I know the populations fluctuate, but believe me I'm well versed in how their generations are numbering. I gave Larry capstar and tomorrow he's getting the bath of a life time. We're gonna win this yet.

I haven't posted anything in a while, have I? 8( Part of that is because I don't have a working copy of MS Office right now. I have to wait for my student e-mail to activate the copy I bought.

The other reason is I've been raising a cat. XD Larry-cat to be exact. Larry is a rescue maine coon I adopted back in June. He's a total hell raiser too. He chases lizards in the back yard. He chases me in the house. Climbs trees in the field and... Gets the single worst case of fleas I have ever seen. 8(

I can't kill these things. I have given him three baths and two flea treatments. I just can't kill them. They're big mothers too. D: I've been all through his bedding, I've checked the house. I vacuum every day. I even set off three of those bug fog bombs. They're all on him!

I just got him down and tried to flea-powder him. Let me tell you that was a nightmare. Powder all over Larry, powder all over me, all over the carpet. He started fighting when I tried to rub it into his fur. When all was said and done, I was white as a sheet and so was Larry. This stuff stings. 8( I guess that means its working.

Assuming this doesn't work, what do I do? Help the pony...

I've already fixed it, but Yahoo is having too many problems. I think the old, pony-pony might have to get rid of Yahoo all together.

Big weight off my shoulders. 8P I just heard back from my college about my funding. So I can start in two months. Yay! XD

Now that I'm not constantly worrying about funding I might be able to hammer on some stories.

Sorry I haven't been overly active. For those of you that have watched me overlong, you know to expect these absences. I'm still writing, still working on things. I'm just stuck in a rut right now. I'm also wicked-bad sunburned, yall. 8(

I'm not even kidding, this is the worst sunburn of all time. I'm blistered and gross. There's going to be at least as much Me-Jerky coming off my back and shoulders as you get out of one of those big bags of jerky at Wal-mart.

I just got finished with Boys Night Out 4... and I'm restarting. I can do better than this. 8( Pony's just out of practice again. Tomorrow maybe, or this coming week. *Bites the keyboard.*

Hey guys, I'll have the mini-stories up today. One's up right now, just waiting for FA to let me post the next. The story update will come tomorrow, I just found out I'm subbing for a night class so I won't get finished when I wanted... Oh well I get some money at least!

So I got an email from the program I'm applying to for my PHD. It wasn't a rejection, but it also wasn't an acceptance. They literally emailed me to just say, "We're working on it." I'm glad they're talking to me, but seriously I need to know.

*Curls up in a ball on the floor.* Someone make them tell the pony...

So I have to wait another two weeks to find out, cause I haven't had enough fun so far...

I got a lot of PHD related meetings this week. I'm not going to be around till about Friday, due to studying and rehearsing for these meetings. Good news is, Pony's on the home-stretch.

All my applications are out. Some more promising than others. If you're the praying sort, remember me. It's a pretty big deal if I manage to get into a PHD program.

The pony's not feeling much like writing guys. 8( I still haven't heard from my schools definitively and it's wearing on me. It's still a week or so before I have to hear but I hate going down to the wire.

So the snow is back. 8( I'm a little better prepared this time, but I still don't like it. Stupid snow! Stupid rain! I like dry weather...

Hey guys, part three of "Boys' Night Out" just went up.

I'll have more stories up this week, I hope. Pony was hanging over the edge of the drama-llama zone, in real life, the last two weeks. So that slowed me down a little.
