Hello, everyone that still follows this account! Buckeye Furs are back and we have some new faces!
(hmm, I wonder where I've heard this line before)


Another generation of furs have taken over this account; we'll see how this changes things going forward!

For one thing, we plan to reinstate the OSU furs club next semester, so look forward to that! We also want to make a list of current and past furs that have attended OSU, to remind us that we aren't alone. Let's keep supporting each other and growing our community!

Hey fuzzbutts, is looking for a few friendly fursuiters to help her in a little school project. Don't have a whole lot of details, but here is what she has said.

I'm currently working on a project and my concept involved a small group of fursuiters for the creation of a gif which would require me to take a short video. Time for the annual cookout and fursuit walk. We have had to move the date due to many events taking place over the month of June, but we're still here. Like past years, people are free to come and go as they please between 10 and 3. We will be providing burgers and hotdogs, some soda and maybe some few other things.

We just ask that you guys bring something along as well to share with others.

As for the park, there's lots of wide open spaces. So if you guys want to bring soccer balls, Frisbees, or what not, feel free. There is also a Frisbee golf course at the park as well.

Fursuits are welcomed and all that fun stuff, just be prepared for high temps. We hope to get the same location in the park as last few years, but for safe keeping, look for the Buckeye Furs sign near our location (as if fursuits weren't a dead giveaway).

So, as many people may know, or not know, Morphicon is that same weekend as the Gallery Hop. So as it sits, we will not be joining in the downtown shenanigans, unless we get enough interest from others who would rather terrorize the locals than go to a furcon.

That's right, its back already this year, and it's happening Monday Aug 20th (tomorrow) from 4pm to 8pm.

Those of you who have attending this in previous years know what this is all about. For the newcomers, here's a brief overview.

The Student Involvement Fair happens at the begining of every quarter at OSU, however the first one of the new school year is always the largest as the freshman students are always there in mass looking at all the student organizations that are available to join at Ohio State. It's a very large, and very crowded affair which makes it prime grounds for fursuiting, especially if you're the attention whore type.

So gather up your fursuits and lets scare entertain the incoming freshman :)

For those unaware of this from last year, it's a really simple concept. Bring what ever you like to the cook out, be it cake, watermelon or burgers. We'll supply the grill, plates and utensils, all you have to do is show up and bring an "A-game" attitude (and food for all).

A few of us plan to be at one of the sites around 10:00 AM to secure it for the rest of the day. Furs are welcome to come and go as they please. Fursuits are welcome and encouraged. There may be some games provided such as frisbee football or soccer or maybe even a water balloon fight *hint hint*

Coming this August, there's a fun event going down again this year that has been gaining popularity through the few years it's been going on. Camp Critter as it has been dubbed is up and underway for planning and is taking in "registrations" for this year's event.

Short notice once again but here we go. We've had to move the date of the Gallery Hop to Friday instead of Saturday. The host has to work Saturday and has Friday off, so there's the reasoning for that. Anyway, onto the details. For those of you who know about the gallery hop, this will be just a quick reminder, and for those who are new to it... The Gallery Hop is a Columbus Event held every year on High Street in the Short North section of town. All the local artists from painters to musicians gather out on the street to premier their latest works and efforts. Crowds or people swarm the streets on these nights, be it bar hopping or actually looking at what the shops and artists have to offer, making this prime territory for fursuiting.
