This is something we are extremely excited for since we have been in a kind of funk this past year. Since our first queue, I have become a full time Fursuit builder and no longer require an actual job! It has been this way for a few months now and we are starting to pick up speed on the last three suits we have left! It's been rocky for us but with this move in a few days, we're both stoked to take on new work and get it out in a timely manor!

This is actually the first time we actually have to PICK our queue! This is an odd concept for us but without your support and interest in our suits, I'd still be delivering pizzas :P

Do we take payment plans? Of course!

How do those work? We need 30% up front and payments will start as soon as we get started on your suit

Why? We have had problems in the past with payments getting confused when done on several plat forms. Doing it this way will Keep the number of payments coming in at a minimum so there is no confusion on either end. We will set up our Queue, gather everyone's 30% down, buy all materials and work down in two from that point! Of course, those who pay in full will take the first spots available~

So get those quotes in! If you already have a quote and are serious about getting a suit, please watch out for journals posted on this account so that you know when we are taking payments and moving forward with commissions!

If you have submitted a quote to us and are still interested, please fill out our form one more time. We have added more criteria and have added our Terms of Service to the form so that any potential commissioner can read the ToS BEFORE they submit a quote. This is so that no one is blindsided by something in our conditions.

We have cleared out all quotes that have been submitted for storage purposes and to start out fresh for this year.

Please keep in mind that while our quotes are open, we are still working on our current commissions and will not officially open quotes until this current batch is done~ We foresee us opening commissions around July so send in those quotes now!

If you remember, I posted a journal about my family emergency. Unfortunately, things have taken a turn for the worst but I will still be working on commissions during this time.

I will not divulge the depth of the emergency but my dad (Who I am in partnership with for Otter N' Daughter, this business is as much mine as it is his) will be gone for unfortunate reasons until late January - early February. This is un avoidable and I have been a mess about the whole thing so please bear with me as I get through these next few months.

What does this mean for you guys? This means that I will be short handed until his return. He is responsible for 50% of the work so while he is gone, I will be trying my hardest to move these commissions along but being in school and juggling family issues, you can expect delays.

There is some hope! This past weekend, my younger sister has shown interest in this business and has agreed to help me as much as she can. It may even turn into a permanent position for her because she shows MUCH skill in the making of her own fursuit head.

While she will be helping me on weekends, we will be working towards getting (at the very least) partials to the remainder of our commission list. This will (at the moment) include a head, hands and tail until we can get all of this figured out.

This whole experience has left my family a little broken but I am thankful that my sister and step mother have stepped up to help me keep this business going as best as we can.

We will also be creating several more premade heads in between commissions so that we can pay the bills as we clear our overhead.

I am terribly sorry for these delays but they are inevitable and a completion date will not be available until we progress further. If you have any further questions. PLEASE EMAIL THEM. It is much easier to keep track of progress when it's a searchable file.

I must also address those who have been questioning :Thediesel: here on FA and twitter. Further questioning him and those users will be blocked on his account. What We (otter N' Daughter) do is out of his hands. He is not a part of this business and does not know any completion dates, details or anything about what we do. Please leave him alone. Questions should all be directed towards me as I am the face of this business.

We have had a very horrid turn of events that I have been dealing with ever since I woke up this morning. Please be aware that I will be away from the computer for the next week to get things situated as my life has just been turned upside down. What does this mean for new customers? Well, our prices have gone up 12.5% making Full suits $1600 and partials starting at $960

This price will be good until this time next year! So any quotes sent to us now will be under our new price bracket (which is still a great deal for our professional quality~)

So yesterday was my last day of class pretty much so when I get home from work today, my main priority is setting up shop. Everything is strewn about the living room in boxes at the moment and there's still so much room XwX
So I will certainly take some pictures of our new work area once it is ready by tonight! We will have two separate stations: one for sewing, one for carving and finishing!!! We're both so excited to get back to suit work <3 so expect some updates!

We are nearly done with our move, We're moving our last boxes tonight and finishing up the cleaning so that we can get our deposit yadayadayada-

What does this mean for you guys? We'll I'm am almost out of class for this quarter so that means nothing but fursuit work!!! We're gonna get those suits cranked out and we should have two full suits completed before the end of this month so that is always exciting~ we have taken on several more commissions to be completed at various times for the rest of the year. Any quotes given are good until December 31, 2013 so get them in be aide once we get this large batch done and sent, our base price will go up to $1600 for the 2014 year (which is still a great deal on a full suit!)

Since we are so new, it's no surprise that we will make mistakes in terms of customer service, getting quotes out in a timely manor, loosing information and having to ask questions for things that may or may not have been asked or answered before. We are working very hard on becoming more organized and professional. Papa Otter and I just want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who has commissioned us, sent us quote forms, watched us, commented on our work, spread the word that we are here and just have been all around supportive of our fursuit making efforts!

At the moment, we have been busily working on stream lining the quote process, payment options, the making of our fursuits in general, keeping current quotes organized and up to date on the information constantly coming in and all the other bells and whistles that come with it! And on top of that, we are moving this weekend! The move will give us our own work studio, plenty of storage space, convince to other jobs and it's just an overall new place that we can call home for the next few years as I finish school at the Art Institute.

As stated before in previous journals, I, will be switching from a full time job to a part time job and will be moving most of my focus onto my studies and fursuit work. This will be a stable thing until 2015 when I graduate (Which is only 2 years away OMG) with a bachelor's in Media arts and animation.

What does this mean for commissioners? This means I will be using 3D programs for proto typing soon! As I learn the various programs, I can easily create a model and translate it into fursuit pieces and such! We may also provide 3D models of what your suit will look like!

While some of this is still speculation, we will be trying our hardest to make it a reality! So for now, we are both very happy with the future of Otter N' Daughter and just how bright it looks.
