2012 So Far
Posted 13 years agoFigured it's about time for an actual journal.
(Warning: Nothing really interesting or furry in here :p)
For the past couple of years I've come to understand that 2012 was going to be a very defining year in my life. It's my last full year in the military along with my last deployment. So it basically means this year I have to choose where I want to go, what I want to do, and when I want to do it. All these things taken into account, I could only assume that it would be a year of both stress and happiness. I couldn't be more right. So far this year I've gone through a rollercoaster of emotion and stress both in my personal and professional lives.
Work has been nonstop and intense. I've wrapped up the first month of an X month deployment to Bahrain with my minesweeper crew. You hear about Iran and all the drama over there? It's Naval minemen that it primarily directly affects and so things are hectic. The stress is taking a physical toll on my body, I'm starting to have sleeping issues and the military is taking steps to treat me, but as of yet I haven't recieved a diagnosis, but I do have a study coming in the near future. I think I can count on one hand the number of days I've had off this year aside from my vacation to my shep.
Personally my mind is in the future. Aside from working out, which I do often, I'm talking to my mate or surfing the internet on my little free time. I don't like this place and all so mentally I'm not really 'here'. My future after the military is starting to take shape, though. I'm saving money, I know where I want to go, what I want to study, and what I want to do. But I'm not going into this, this future may be soon or later this year but in any case it's more so for me and the others involved :p
The short of it is that times are rough but the future is bright. I'm doing my best to blow through this deployment headfirst and make it to the end of it all but the home stretch is a difficult one. Thank's to those of you who are supporting and helping me, you all make this much much easier!

1. Tell you something I'll learn about you by looking at your FA page for 13 seconds.
2. Tell you which color you remind me of.
3. Tell you my first memory of you.
4. Tell you what Pokemon you remind me of
5. Ask you something I've always wondered about you, and your answer has to be as vague as possible to keep the suspense.
6. Tell you my favorite thing about you.
7. Give you a weird nickname
8. Tell you what's on my shirt right now.
9. Challenge you to post this on your journal

Posted 14 years agoNo this isn't about my relationship :p this song has just had a lot of impact on me in the past 3 years
Open that door: I'll follow you into that space
Where nothing is regretted then forgotten
Where is that grace that carries me out? so strange it's mine
It wont be yesterday when before when before the day of collapsing
And I'll stand through all these lines just to make it back to you
Can you help me every step of the way?
We can bury that battle and bury the cause
There is nothing that I can say because I was wrong this time
Everyone knows cause they see the glare in your eyes
Careful now, don't drown yourself ion sorrow
I was the one that built that cross and weighed you down.
And now I'll carry on till it's over... and it's over

OMG ACTUAL JOURNAL
Posted 14 years agoAlright let's try actually writing something here for once... This is gonna be random as hell lol
Lets see... starting last July it seems my whole life totally started in a new direction, oh wait you've all heard this part? *fast forwards a couple months* Couple of weeks ago I went to visit the mate. I had the jitters and was terrified of not being who he wanted, long story short I drowned my worry with vodka and sleeping pills the night before, had a ton of nightmares due to this magic cocktail, and at 6am was on a flight to Texas *fast forward Texas* long story short we got along better than I could have imagined, I couldn't be happier ^^ but I dont want to make this journal about my boyfriend because who really cares besides me and him? X3
Work is picking up like a motherfucker, I'm in the Navy and am on a minesweeper in San Diego. We were in the yards pretty much this whole summer, which means the ship was getting a lot of work done to it by private contractors and I was left with a ton of 5 hours workdays <3 Well just in tome for the new school year, we came out of the yards >:C my 5 hour workdays quickly decided to become 14 hour workdays just to remind me that my job can actually be a job sometimes X3 I now spend most of my workdays wearing full firefighting gear running around pretending to put out fake fires :p Its not as fun as it sounds lol but I must admit that I have been doing it for a while and am pretty comfy with fighting actual fires (yes I've done it before on controlled fires and been involved in 2 real fires) I can't say I'd like to do it for an actual primary job but it is kinda cool to know how and get to wear the helmet and shit :p
I guess thats why I'm writing this... I woke up at 530 am this morning, got to work at 650 and started work at 7. At 6 pm we began our fire drills but I had a different journey to go on! A couple hours earlier I was by the sonar with my buddy shooting the shit while I imed at Challenger because hed been off all day. Well long story short there was a vent above me that connected to the head (bathroom) next to us. The bathroom had been cleaned with a fucking ton of betadine solution and it was giving some people headaches. I'm allergic to betadine, and I couldn't smell it... two hours later Im dry heaving over the toilet with the worst headache Ive had in my life. the fire drill is starting and Im pretty sure if I put all the gear on Ill throw up or pass out... I dont want to throw up wearing a gas mask x.x So I run to the Docs office as fast as I can "run" in my state and he winds up throwing IV's in both my arms and telling me Im dehydrated -_- well I got to skip the drill and I got to lie down for about an hour and I felt a little better, good enough to eat. So I finally got home at 9pm and now Im pretty much here :p I dont want to go to bed as Ive only been home a couple hours X3
More about me Im a mineman, as a rate we basically locate mines and either destroy them or investigate them, we are also the guys that lay the mines and all that Jazz (Im NOT a badass EOD dude that blows things up :p) Ive gotten to shoot a fair collection of guns, M16, M240, .50 cal, M 203 etc. All damn good fun ^^ As far as my sexuality goes Im gay :p and Im open too, even a bit of an open fur in the military ^^ My command never much gave a fuck :p weve had a few flamers come and go without any trouble (no Im not much of a flamer lol) I go to Bahrain every now and then :p Ive gone once for 7 months, gotta go one more time before I wrap this enlistment up. It's not a very dangerous place compared to the rest of the area but- meh I probably shouldnt discuss it too much :p long story short if you are going to worry or pray for troops, there are people dealing with a lot more over there than me :p
I'll try to write more actual journals if people actually enjoy reading them :p and if you have any questions feel free to ask X3 I'm just tired and killing time, nothing to see here folks move along!

Posted 14 years agoThat this is me! It's not too far off tbh :p
http://www.signalpatterns.com/psych.....tral/question!
Introspective
You like your own company; you're a very interesting person. Tracking your own mental processes, knowing what you're thinking and why you do what you do, is important to you. Often, what's going on in your mind is more compelling than what's going on outside. For the most part, those with a high score on the "introspective" trait enjoy reading, taking long walks, learning new things, and other solitary activities.
You are not someone who is constantly looking to be among a group of friends; you never feel bored when you are by yourself.
Original
You are constantly coming up with new ideas. For you, the world as it exists is just a jumping-off place; what's going on inside your mind is often more interesting than what's going on outside.
You don't feel that the road to success is to be a realist and stick to the program; you never stop yourself from coming up with new ideas or telling the world what you're thinking about.
Laid Back
You prefer to do your own thing, in your own way, rather than attempt to force your will, or your ego, on a group. You're happy working on your own, taking your sweet time, and focusing on the job at hand.
You're not pushy. You're not interested in imposing your will on others, taking charge of every situation, being the first to raise your hand in class, or insisting on being the winner of every argument.
Accessible
You're comfortable expressing yourself in words and actions, with no self-censorship. You believe that if someone doesn't like what they see it's not your problem, but theirs. A high score on the "accessible" trait suggests that you have a lot of friends, socialize often, and enjoy rap/hip-hop music.
You don't see the need to keep your thoughts to yourself, or to have a zone of privacy that encompasses only yourself and a small circle of friends and relatives.
Upbeat
You enjoy being around others and others enjoy being around you. You have a "live and let live" attitude; because you know that no one's perfect, you are forgiving and happy to give the benefit of the doubt.
You don't feel the need to be controversial or express contrary opinions all the time. You see no reason to go around rubbing people the wrong way.
Aesthetic
You appreciate art, beauty, and design; you know that they are not superficial but absolutely crucial to living the good life. You have good taste, and you're proud of it. Those with a high score on the "aesthetic" trait are often employed in literary or artistic professions, enjoy domestic activities — doing things around the house — and are enthusiastic about the arts, reading, and travel.
You don't think it's pretentious to be moved by art and beauty. You're not one of those who believe it doesn't matter what something looks like as long as it does its job.
Reckless
You tend to give in to your impulses and indulge your cravings. Rather than fight your emotions, you often do what comes naturally, which means occasionally overdoing it, sometimes even embarrassing yourself.
You are not good at resisting temptation and avoiding overindulgence; you are not the kind of person who doesn't regret anything you said or did.
Realistic
You get done what you need to get done without pondering "hidden meanings" or feeling compelled to figure out how everything works; you're happy taking things as they are, dealing with them, and moving on.
You're not obsessed with getting to the bottom of everything. For instance, as long as you know what someone did you don't necessarily need to know why they did it.
Understanding
You are willing to take the time to find out what's going on with other people, especially if they're in distress. You're a good listener, you don't criticize, and you offer unbiased, respectful, honest advice when it's requested. With a high score on the "understanding" trait, it is likely that you are enthusiastic about charitable work, helping others, and making the world a better place.
You don't feel the need to impose your standards on others or say things that, even though true, cause pain.
