So I've been in Washington DC for the past..Week and almost a half?
I flew out a while ago from Portland OR for my step-mothers wedding that in 12 days because I am one of her bridesmaids!

My other 2 sisters are also bridesmaids, and my boyfriend came with me for the 3 weeks that I'll be here. So far I'm having crazy amounts of fun, we went with my step-mom to her work at the Capitol and went on a tour we then went to the Smithsonian in the nature area. (Now crossed off my bucket list) And all I can say is..Wow.

Anywhooo I got some practice sketching done there and surprisingly quite a few people watched me draw. I've never publicly drawn like that before so it was a new experience for sure.

So this afternoon nature decided to throw a nasty ass storm our way.
The thunder was so loud in my room, that it sounded like someone shot a gun next to my face!

My poor puppies were so terrified that they hid on a corner under some boxes and wouldn't come out.not only that and the fact I myself am terrified of thunder aswell v.v

It was raining cats and dogs, and didn't stop for 2 hours, worst 2 hours of my life evar.

If there is one thing that really irritates me its little kids with fursuits. I mean how the hell do you convince your parents to spend hundreds to thousands of dollars on something you're just going to grow out of...YouTube is filled with 9 year olds making or getting fursuits. Even though there are 20 to 30 year olds who can't afford one, even with a working job. Do their parents have that much money that they toss money at their child to get something that is really freaking expensive?!

And they will change, or out grow their character in the future because sparkle dog you made when you were 7 might not be what you want when you're 19 or 22.

If you're going to get a fursuit that young, at least commission someone cheap, so that when you're full grown you can get a nicer one! Don't commission someone who wants 2,000 dollars, and even if you put it up for auction good luck finding someone small enough that would buy it.

Idk I just kinda feel like the Furry fandom is also more for adults...I mean realistically, FA is mostly porn and generally the fur society caters more towards grown ups, or 18+ than a minor.

I would just feel bad if a kid stumbled upon something that would scar them...

And I always get this responses from young furs "its not like I'm stupid, I know what porn is and I've seen it. I'm not that innocent," which makes me instantly facepalm multiple times. V.V;

I finally broke down and decided to buy one instead of making my own, because I was too lazy and when I saw her work I fell in love <3

I've always loved dead, morbid thing's and she plays into that. Her name will be Cryptic, or Crypt for short and even though she may seem creepy and scary, she actually is extremely affectionate and loves giving hugs and has a fondness for shiny objects. SO CAMERA LENSES BE WARNED! Also make sure to hide any necklaces or shiny jewelery! They will become the focus of her attention! Whilst talking to her she may be tempted to give a good peck at shinies <3

I sometimes feel like I should give up on being an artist. Because I'm really not that good, and I never seem to get better.

I hate when I see someone who is CLEARLY talented, and is incredibly popular and is good at drawing, and digital ect. But I have no clue how to work a tablet, and tutorials frustrate me, and I can never draw anatomy right no matter how many time's I try. THAT and the fact that artists who DONT use tablets etc. Don't get nearly as much attention than those who do.

I just feel like I've hit a brick wall in my life, like I was never meant to draw in the first place.
And what's even shittier is the fact nobody will probably read this. *dies*

I see all of these people who have fursuits and they go to cons etc.
I know that some of them work, and some have a web store...But what about some of the other people I see? How does one get enough money to fly to places, and be at a con? And if they do have work, how do you get vacations? Or how the hell do you get permission so many times to take a break from work? Just to fly out to at least 4-5 cons a year!? :0

I feel like when I get my job, and fursuit, that I'm never going to be able to fly out to con's....

So, I'd like to think that I'm a pretty good artist...
So I was thinking about trying my hand at making my own fursuit partial, because I have a hard time saving up my money for someone else to make one. I was thinking about using a premade resin blank first, before trying my hand at foaming a head.

I'm a pretty good sewer, but I have no clue how to sew fur onto a head, or if resin blanks can be sewn on in the first place 0^0

I've made a few tails, and I've made a few prototype handpaws with hand sewn pads.

Is making your own fursuit cheaper than having one made? Where are good places to get fur? SO MANY QUESTIONS!
