To cut a long story short, I had a critical hardware failure on my computer. My SSD hard drive died, and I had to buy a replacement drive. It arrived today and I was able to install it and re-install windows onto my computer, so I am back online; I've spent today slowly reinstalling software and getting things set back up to how it was before the best I can.
But I had to spend nearly $100 on a replacement SSD, which was an expense I wasn't budgeting for, so any and all money would really help right now. So I'd just like to remind people that I take commissions to color b/w images.
You can see examples of some things i've colored here.
I also have more images located on my art Twitter handle, typically more fanart related stuff.
Prices typically start at $10 per person/body in the image and go up from there for extras like edits, alts, shading, etc. If you have any interest, please reach out, I could use anything.

I'm working on a new OC, and I'd like to get them drawn up in a few outfits, to help make a reference sheet for them. So what I'm looking for is someone who could draw the character nude, then a few different outfits on top of that. Like, a casual outfit, a work outfit, a fantasy outfit, etc.
All preferably without breaking the bank in the process ;P
Black and white lineart is fine; I imagine it would be cheaper and easier for lineart of a bunch of clothing that way anyway.

I was looking to commission some art of some of my less used characters; specifically, Gina, Kei, and Meryl. Maybe others, but those're the three I had in mind at the moment.
But the artist I was thinking of, I discovered had raised their rates and now they're out of my comfortable price range; I don't know who to look for atm, so I figured I'd take suggestions if anyone can recommend someone who's open?
I was thinking of maybe something fall, Halloween, or Christmas themed, or to treat myself for my birthday. My price range would probably be around $20-30, maybe a bit more depending on the piece(/s).

Computer problems, and possibly getting a new computer.
Posted 9 years agoMy laptop is totally starting to fail. It was having issues booting up a few days ago, it didn't even start and it seemed like the hard drive had totally failed; Yesterday I tried to boot it again, it thankfully loaded, and I took that as an opportunity to back up as many pictures and important documents I could find onto my external HD. But now it seems like the Nvidia card has bit the dust or something too. If I check my task manager, it shows nvidia processes running, but if I try to open the Nvidia control panel, it says that I'm not connected to an Nvidia device or somethin like that, and my games wont run. Hearthstone just shows a blank pink screen, and Terraria wont boot anymore. Either the NVidia card is dead or the computer isn't seeing it or something.
I spoke with a computer repairman over the phone yesterday and he said that the booting problem sounded like a failing hard drive. Cat in need of surgery; Any assistance would help.
Posted 9 years agoHey guys; bad news to share. Our cat Jack recently got into a fight with another animal, and injured himself pretty badly. The medical bills are going to be pretty high, more than we can afford to cover on our own. Normally I'm not too much the type to ask for charity, but this is going to be a big blow to the family if we lose our cat.
Today I've made a gofund me page to try and raise enough for the medical bills (Warning: Images of injured cat ahead): https://www.gofundme.com/2rzedduk the operation estimate is around $1000, plus an additional $150 for the exam fee, antibiotics, and and pain killers he was given today. I'm trying to raise $1200 to cover these fees plus any additional expenses that may come up.
I've already gotten more than I expected from amazingly kind people online. With what we have now, we will be able to cover the initial down payment on the operation, but it's not enough to cover the entire expenses. Tomorrow, we will speak with the vet again to see if there's a possibility of doing a payment plan to spread out the fee if necessary, and we'll call other clinics to see if we can find any other location that would have a cheaper estimate for the operation.

A few days ago the internet shut off, we forgot to pay the bill. My sister is the one who pays and she was out of the house
Today my sister gets home and pays the bill. The Internet still won't turn on.
I restart the modem and restart my computer to see if that fixes things. Modem isn't working and my (already old) laptop doesn't restart.
I call the support line, on the phone for maybe an hour, and they cannot help. I'm told I need to exchange the modem for a new one at the nearest support center, or wait until Friday for a technician.
The support center is likely closed tomorrow because Labor Day.
So now I'm out of the Internet for at least another day or two, and my laptop isn't functioning. So I can only connect to the web on my phone right now, while trying to diagnose the problems.
Edit update: I attempted reconnecting to the wifi and it seemed to work this time, so maybe I'm going to have wifi again at least temporarily. I'll still try to replace the router Tuesday if I can. the computer finished "refreshing" itself as part of a recovery option and we'll see if it will function

Posted 9 years agoBased on a tumblr post I found, I thought it'd be fun to do a 'get to know your OCs' post. Answer all these questions!
1. most likely to clean up everybody’s crap without asking
Eton. A good cook does not tolerate messes!
2. most likely to get in a fight
Moriko. She tends to jump to conclusions.
3. most likely to fall asleep literally anywhere
Moriko again! She's a lazynuki, that's for sure.
4. most likely to get a crap-ton of tattoos
I can see Rose as the type to get a bunch of tattoos done.
5. most likely to get a really crappy tattoo and immediately regret it
Moriko? Being a shapeshifter means she doesn't exactly have a great sense of 'object permanence' xD
6. most likely to survive the zombie apocalypse
Realistically? Moriko and Haru; literal super powers tend to help. But I can imagine Lily and Rose being an ass kicking team :P
7. most likely to be two hours late to their own event
Veronica's my only character who really might have their own event, but she's far too professional to let that happen. Luna'd be the type to let things wait till the last minute or get distracted though.
8. most likely to flirt to get what they want
Definitely Veronica. She's practically weaponized her looks.
9. most likely to laugh at a funeral
This one I honestly don't know. Moriko I suppose since she's the most likely to not pay attention?
10. most likely to look really good in a kilt
Blair. Is there even a contest? :V
11. most likely to steal free samples
Maybe Emily's the type to have a secret snack obsession? :V
12. most likely to take selfies at inappropriate times
Veronica or Lily. Both are quite self-image obsessed for their own reasons
13. most likely to ruin everything
Moriko likes to threaten to ruin things when she's grump. But she's just a softy at heart most of the time ♥
14. most likely to have a shotgun wedding
I honestly don't see this for any of my characters!
15. most likely to laugh until they cry
I can see Luna doing this!
16. most likely to get into an argument with an animal
Moriko does live in the woods. and is technically an animal too. . . But I imagine Blair's the type to get into good natured arguments with his chickens.
17. most likely to use any and all excuses to take off articles of clothing
Lily. She takes nearly any excuse to visit the beach, gym, club, wherever she can show off her latest fashion (and her body)
18. most likely to prank call people
Rose I could see prank calling her friends. Moriko would if she used a phone :V
19. most likely to binge-watch Netflix for absurd lengths of time
Luna for sure. I'm pretty sure I got a picture of her similar to that once even.

Emily's not the type to show off or try to draw attention to herself, but she'd have a very pretty voice.

Harlan's the most likely to run into angry birds when he goes hiking :P

Luna's the type to make all kinds of video game or TV references.

Lily and Rose party the most, but they actually go to party. If Blair or Emily was dragged to a party they didnt want to be at, I can see them lurking by the snack table since they're too shy to talk to strangers :P

Rose dresses for comfort mainly, so seeing her wearing what'd normally be considered 'lazy' clothes is pretty common.

Emily and her singing come to mind again. But most people don't expect Blair to be so good at cooking. Farm life's given him plenty of practice with food though.

Lily can get pretty obsessed with the latest hits. (I am also guilty of obsessively listening to music)

Claire'd sneak in slices as a guilty pleasure.

Harlan's an exercise buff and a bit of a thrill junkie.

Found an art thief on F-List
Posted 9 years agoThis is only the second time i've found someone using artwork of my OCs on F-List. Funnily enough, it's been Emily both times. I guess she's the most popular of my OCs? :p I've contacted them and hopefully they'll remove the artwork willingly without requiring me to escalate this further

Posted 10 years agoI've gotten a few random skype requests over the last few weeks and I've just kinda assumed they've all been spambots. So I just want to make clear, if you intend to add me to your skype, you had better at the very least explain who you are when you send the request, or I WILL assume you're a spammer and just ignore you :V Just making sure this is out there on the off chance one of you is a real person with a real interest in talking
