I apologize for being slow at going through my commissions. It's been a little difficult to get back into them, but if you're waiting for one, you have my word: I will finish it.

Just got news that my thesis was passed!

One more paper and I'm totally done! Woo.

... submitted to my committee. Such a relief. Ended up being 92 pages, ~25 of which I wrote between yesterday and the day before.

Well, that was intense! But it's over. Let's hope my committee likes it!

Expect new art soon. I might start streaming again next week!

So I thought my thesis was due next Monday. Everything would be alright, no?

Come to find out it's due on Thursday.

So a friend of mine (with a very nice painterly style and an affinity for birds) just got an FA gallery! She'll be opening for commissions sometime soon, so go give her a watch! She's  kimasat.

Also, schoolwork is piling up, so I'll be taking a semi-hiatus from furry/art matters. I might or might not stream in the next month, and I'll be scarce on my messenger accounts. So if you contact me and I don't respond quickly or if you don't see me, I didn't die and I don't hate you - I'm just trying to get things done. :)

Hey all!

I was just doing some thinking, and I've made a couple changes.

First, I've put my commission types and prices in the "Commission Info" tab. Of course, those do not exhaust the types of commissions I'll take; other media or types (say, digital paintings) can be decided in direct consultation with me.

Second, I will be splitting my commissions queue into two categories: manips and drawings. Because manips require a more involved process of deciding upon an idea and getting photos taken, when they get done is often unpredictable. Having two queues will allow me to switch back and forth as needed.

Otherwise, everything remains the same. If you want a commission, contact me by FA note or at khedvu [at] aol [dot] com explaining what you would like. After discussion, I will give you a basic quote (I work for about $15/hour). Once you send payment, I will begin your piece. Delivery will be of a high-quality scan or full-resolution digital drawing/manipulation.

Any questions, just ask! Later today I will be announcing a commission series, so stay tuned.

So, I'm filling out a job app and come across this question:

"Are there any activities in your background that may be an embarrassment to yourself or your employer if they were made public?"

Have any of you encountered this sort of thing? How have you dealt with it?

Do I just need to tell my overly sensitive conscience and worrywart nature to shut up? XD

Well, after a long time off, I'm back to the grind of the semester! A couple notable occurrences:

1. Showed sister my DA and FA galleries, which she loved. Even some TFs I myself find weird or borderline freaky she found endearing (huh).

2. Showed mother my DA and brought up the "furry" fandom. She likes my art -and actually encouraged me to share it more widely, to not be ashamed of it- but didn't like much of what she saw of furrydom. But actually, the parts she's uncomfortable with (mainly, porn) are things I myself am uncomfortable with. She also doesn't get the point of fandoms, conventions, and the like, seeing them as "dead-end" uses of talent, and doesn't have any idea that searching "furry" on Google Images is not a good research method. However, I do agree with her that furry/anthro/art stuff has probably been too much of a distraction for me, so I'll be cutting back a bit and focusing on schoolwork and finding jobs more.

3. Went to FC and loved it. aayrick was gracious enough to let me try on his lovely horse fursuit, I attended a few awesome panels, I met up with a bunch of friends and met some new ones, and I actually was able to pull off the TF Jam. lancefoxx will be sending me the final sketch sheet soon, and I'll post it once it arrives!

4. I will complete the commissions in my list and take more, but I might experiment with stream days besides Friday so that I could engage in more RL social events over the weekend and not have conflicts. I'll post, though, to announce them!

5. If I'm scarce on IMs, email, or here, it's not because I don't love y'all, but because I'm trying to make sure anthro/furry/TF stuff consumes about the time that a hobby or pastime needs and not more. After all, drawing stuff for you guys won't be my profession and something's got to pay the bills after I leave school! 7@=e

6. I'm Khed over on Weasyl, but I don't anticipate a move. Having one gallery is enough for me, and transferring everything would be laborious.

YES. At the end of a super-long day. Luckily, we managed to pull into a parking lot near my father’s work and push the car, in neutral, into a space.
