Mainly I wanted to make this post to say I'm sorry for the lack of activity, everyone. To be honest this has always been a pattern with me, where I'm active for maybe a month, then disappear off the face of the Earth. I guess it's a mix of social anxiety and executive dysfunction. And other....life things.

Holy shit has it really been a year already? Well, a year since my last journal entry anyway.

I'm especially sorry to anyone who reached out to me during my hiatus. I was not ignoring you, I was just... avoiding any and all social contact. It's nothing against you personally.

I decided to join Art Fight after all. Comments/replies, ect. might get slow again. I'm thinking of also posting simple refs of certain characters. If nothing else but to have *something*, you know? That and those detailed refs are still intimidating to make. :D;;

Not the best month for me but it's almost over. Sorry for lack of activity. Good news, my partner got me a replacement tablet ^^. So hopefully I can work better. The old one was getting near non-functioning. Plugging and unplugging constantly...

My Pride Month set is unfinished, but I got some down and others have concepts. If your flag is unrepresented, chances are I'm just struggling with execution. Some ideas were easier to pull off than others. I hope people like them, niche interest or not. :U

Now...to play catch up with my notifications....

Who else is doing Pride Month art? I'm wanting to but I'm struggling to think of how exactly I want to go about it. I'm thinking about doing some with slogans (like "trans happiness is real" and the like).

The polyamory one/s will be tough I think...like most likely they'd involve a minimum of three characters :U I do have an idea for a one character piece though.

I really need to clean the ports of this laptop sometime. At least, I hope it's just a matter of it being dirty or something. Using an emery board and blowing into them like they're a Nintendo 64 cartridge does help usually. Still I'll end up plugging and unplugging my tablet like twenty times a drawing session just to get it to recognize the pen. As for correction, that so rarely works that I don't count on it.

I have wanted to go for more detailed/quickness over perfect and clean. Still this is frustrating. Hey I'll manage though.

Hopefully compressed air will help once I can get my hands on a can.


Aside from complaining about that, I also wanted to say I've heard Oddworld is coming with a new game in the series called Soulstorm. It's less of a straight remake of Exxodus (like New 'N Tasty was for Abe's Oddsee) and more of a do-over. Apparently they had to cut a lot of ideas out due to time constraints and the original story was going to be so much darker. I'm looking forward to seeing what they have in mind! Plus maybe there'll be a revival in the fandom.

Oddworld was always such a fascinating series and I love the main protag Abe.

....and I've already doodled rule 34 of course. I'm hoping to develop a few ideas for all of the two people who probably would want to see something like that. :U
