Feeling barfy
General | Posted 9 years agoSo I got a tooth pulled a few days ago and I've been having trouble with nausea since then. I'm no dentist, but I was wondering if it had something to do with my inner ear? I wonder this because I took some motion sickness medicine and it went away. I had a molar removed and a wisdom tooth that was growing in behind it seems to be moving down into the same spot my molar was in. If you're a dentist perhaps you'd be able to shed some light? I'd talk to my dentist but he's out for awhile.
I'm Back
General | Posted 9 years agoThis is my journal from DA explaining my absents.
Hello everyone. I'm sorry I'm returning to you after an absence of close to a year. I'm not good at the internet...
A lot happened after my trip to New Mexico. Things that made my life spin out of control and then land me somewhere I never thought I'd be. I had desperately needed a job, so before I went on my trip to NM my mom helped me get one where she was working. She was a caretaker to a man with MS who is paralyzed from the neck down. He can't do anything for himself and he needed someone to help out on the night shift.
When I started, I was only suppose to work a few nights a week while the other on night shift took the rest. I was there for only a week when Tim (the other person working nights with me) ended up in the emergency room and on kidney dialysis. He was no longer able to work, and I had to take every single night. 7 days a week, 10 hours every day. Needless to say, I was always tired and stressed out. All I ever wanted to do was sleep. I knew I should get online and let people know, but that has always been my problem. I have anxiety issue with getting online to begin with, but this situation made it worse and I couldn't bring myself to do it without having a panic attack.
A few months of this job passed by, and I didn't have the slightest desire to draw, but a new desire popped up in it's place. It was something I have thought about for years, but had never been very serious about until recently. I wanted to become a Massage Therapist. So I went for it.
I added 5 days of school on top of my 7 days of work. If I was lucky I got 6 hours of sleep every day and despite this, I felt better then ever. I think it's because I' am working toward my goal.
I'm halfway through school and my employer is finally getting someone to replace me which feels great. I don't think I'll ever be super active online with art, but now I feel as though I can draw as a hobby which calms me down. The thought of doing it as a living is what causes me anxiety I think. I will post art again, and Hopefully no more disappearing for a year and what not.
I will not be taking commissions outside conventions ever again. I'm just no good at it. If you have commissioned me and have not received your art, and I haven't contacted you, send me a note and we'll get it sorted out. It took awhile to get my FA back, but as you can see it's all worked out here.

New Mexico, Here I Come.
General | Posted 10 years agoSo I'll be gone all next week because I'm leaving for New Mexico on Saturday morning. I'm in Ohio, so that's going to be quite a trek. ^^ I'll be staying in Espanola Valley, and will most likely take a lot of pictures. :D
I decided to take my sketch book with me and draw whatever I see, so I might upload those once I get back.

blarg....Adware
General | Posted 10 years agoSo my computer is full of adware, making online visits downright excruciating. My hubby got rid of it temporarily, but we found out this is smart Adware. It makes hidden copies of itself and changes it's file name at random. We tried a few programs but nothing worked, and in fact, seemed to make it worse.
Anyway, until I get it fixed, I'm going to have to use my phone to update, which will make updates slow. Sorry everyone. XD I swear, I have no idea how I got it.

What a blast!
General | Posted 10 years agoSo I was away this weekend for my eldest brothers graduation. He just recently attended military broadcasting school in Maryland, and graduated top of his class. I'm so proud. ^^
We left Thursday and fell asleep the moment we got to the motel. XD We were suppose to get there sooner but my Momma had an issue with her meds so we didn't leave until late afternoon. On Friday, we(my brother, my family and our friends) went to a very small cafe in little Italy. Apparently the place is a favorite haunt of the actor Daniel Craig(the most resent 007 for those who didn't know) so we had fun talking to the two owners who had all sorts of pictures with him.
We then left for my Bro's graduation held at the military school itself, where he gave us a tour. Though my brother is not an officer, many mistook him for one and kept saluting, something Nick(bro) wasn't quick to correct. :D
The school was fascinating with several faux news rooms that never the less had real equipment. It'll most likely be the closest I'll ever get to being inside a real studio.
They pinned on his new badge and offered him his diploma, and we were given a treat by watching some of his projects while he was there. After all of this, Nick took us to a dinner theater---the Medieval Times in Baltimore--- which was such fun! We were color coded and given a knight of the same color, and while all the other knights for other sections held up their heads, trying to look regal as they passed us, our knight was a huge ham. He kept winking and smiling at us which gained him quite a few fan girls from a group of middle schoolers.
When we left Saturday morning, we visited Gettysburg and walked through the museum. We wanted to take a tour of the battlefield but didn't have time. I was however, very excited to see the Gettysburg Cyclorama which was absolutely amazing! 40 feet high and 370ft long oil painting.
All in all it was a lot of fun. :D Though I'm super tired and glad to be home.
