Neither.

School work, that is how Grad school goes.

Tons of people.

Nope.

Zombies. Killing Zombies.

I make a big deal of it in a cartoony sense, but in the real world not so much.

I've had and still have a few admirers.
9. Would you ever write someone a love letter?
Sure, just give me a reason.
10. Do you believe in Cupid?
Yes, only because I am a masochist. Shooting someone to make them do what I want appeals greatly to me.
11. Do your parents give you presents on Valentines?
Yes. It's creepy.
12. Do you still send out Valentines cards?
No. I try not to do so, as I see with many others if I do a valentine's picture for someone the response from others is evidently "Where is mine," or "I guess you don't like me". You all equally get nothing.
13. Do you like candy hearts?
Yes. Sweet tarts epically. I could suck on those for hours.
15. Is Valentines depressing?
Only as depressing as you make it, like any other day of the year.
16. How do you feel about PDA?
I feel personal data assistants went out the window when blackberries and iphones came out.
17. How is your love life?
I can get love whenever I want it, and when I choose to get away from it I don't need to go out there and force myself. Right now I am focusing on other things that are time sensitive.

My Hero. Monster Mansion. Super Wonderboy.
3) Excluding handhelds, how many VG consoles do you own presently?
-None. I find Pcs are better for playing emulators, or just running better quality games that allow me to multitask and don't require a separate monitor.
4) Were you a Street Fighter nut? Any character in particular?
Yes, I loved Zangief and Chung Li. Dalsiem was another memorable character. We would shout at the screen and repeat their catch phrases.
5) Do you think Capcom is a FUCKING awesome company with kickass character designs?
Not after Megaman X 4. After that Capcom started getting weird.
6) Here's the scenario.. You had some friends over and you all ate FRIED CHICKEN! After the meal you all decide to play some video games. As your friend reaches for a controller you notice his/her hands are very "greasy." Are you the type that would insist they wash their hands before pawing the controller, or is it no big deal?
I'd wait for them to take the controller and mention how it is ruined, or how I will have to clean it. I can't have any fun like that unless I completely guilt the naive. Their fault for being unaware.
7) What's your favorite RPG/Action RPG?
-Castlevania Aria of Sorrow. "You have magic powers too?!"
-Lufia 2 Rise of the Sinistrals The RVs. Villians actually meant something, and caused real problems that went beyong "OMG he is different from the hero, smite him"
Heroes of Might and Magic 5 Academia got these Rakshasas which were blue lion people. Awesome stuff.
8) Do you prefer 2D games or 3D games?
-I miss 2d games the most. The first time I played ff7 I spent the whole day learning what this whole other dimension was, and how to walk in it successfully.
9) Are you an SNK fan?
-I am a fan of how much they charge.

-I cannot even walk without tripping over my own feet. The thought of repetitive fast movement makes shudder.
10) Who wants to kick that dog's ass from Duck Hunt?
-I never understood why when I shot him, he didn't die.
11) Have you skipped out on important events in life because of video games?
-I have been late due to them, yes. Everquest was a large distraction in undergraduate school.
12) Do you listen to video game music?
Yup.

-I cannot make costumes, and buying them seems ridiculous.
14) Have you ever been in an arcade playing a fighting game, KICKING ASS, and then some 6 year old asian kid comes in and OWNS YOU??
-That did happen once. Afterwards I didn't play in arcades. The experience haunts me to this day.

-Remakes are never done properly or do justice to the original. Though I would love to see a newer version of the nes game "Tales of Olympia", "A boy and his blob" , and "Lufia"
16) Mario or Sonic?
-Both of them fail to amuse me. Run fast, or jump a lot. I never saw the appeal.
17) When a movie shows up in the theaters, let's use Spider-man as an example, are you likely to buy the GAME version?
-No. I don't need lots of cut scenes to relive what I just saw.

-Football games. Honestly I can go outside and throw a football if I wanted, pro or not. But being able to throw magical fire? That sounds a lot better.

-FF Mystic Quest. It was simple, and eased people into RPGs.

-Yup. I believe the first was Monster Mansion. It's basically pacman with vampires.

-I once owned an Illusion of gaia shirt that came with the game. It faded after a year, but I loved it.
22) What are your thoughts on the live-action Super Mario Bros movie?
-I thought it was cute to a point, but the whole alternate world with the meteor thing was kinda stupid. There is never any mention of a meteor in any of the games.
23) On that note, what did you think about the live-action Street Fighter movie?
Gomez will be missed.

-I never looked at the chicks,a dn I don't intend to start now.

-Sometimes.

-I have had people just plain steal them or say they lost them, and then tell me they took them after I replace them.

-I played a few on emulators, one of which was the Secret of Mana 3 fan translation. It was really good.

-Your time is wasted, not mine.

-I suppose if I had too I'd get one of those bombs from FF on my right shoulder. They are pretty good looking for trash.

Yup, FF Tactics on the Ps. Original Version. The ending was actually thrilling, and the story made me see the downfall of a kingdom. The game allowed for alot of customization and following through to the recurring villain (Love RVs) you kill God, the goal of all BoF RPGS, and every other RPG from Japan. You can only really finish the game if you kill a divine being. That's good gaming. Epically when it has Christian similarities.

Very preoccupied, and Sketchbook news
Posted 17 years agoThe sketch book was successfully delivered and well loved by the auction winner. That makes me very happy. I may do it again, but this time I hope to have a more general theme, like lions or uniforms etc. Drawing the same characters for 50 pages made me twitch a little. Also I will not upgrade the sketch book that large again. It was a lot more work than I thought it would be.
Obviously I was not mean to be an animator.
University is keeping my very busy. I have off the 16 and 17th of this month, along with thanksgiving, and then after the 19th is over I am done with this semester. It's really brutal to say the least, but I am rolling with the punches.

Back and up again
Posted 17 years agoI'm here at school safe and sound, and the reason I haven't been online is cause UPS destroyed my computer in transit.
Thankfully after much trial and woe I have constructed a new one with the help of Soba and Mundy. So I am currently focused on getting up and running.
I am cleaning up the place, studying for my midterms, and getting limitless homework. Urgh. If anyone wants to oc please let me know, and please let me get a version of oc from someone. I don't even have photoshop on this thing yet or my tablet on (if it still works =3 )
University is going very well, I am in a very comfortable environment and exercising each day at the gym and eating healthy. I've made alot of physical improvement, and I hope I can get a six pack soon with all the aerobics and upper body strength I am doing.
Thankfully after much trial and woe I have constructed a new one with the help of Soba and Mundy. So I am currently focused on getting up and running.

Leaving for University
Posted 17 years agoI will be leaving as of the 19th early, but I will loose my computer today. Hence why I have no updated- I only contacted my commissioners with the information before.
The computer will hopefully arrive in working order, if not I am able to use those on campus and simply purchase a new one once I fill out some change of address forms.

I will have work in the Art Show, some of which I am working on now.
I will have commissions done for some people, the only one I will not have done is the person I contacted.
I hope to see some of you there and draw for you in artist alley.
I do not think I will have prints this year, as I do not have access to a reliable printing facility.

Things are going well
Posted 17 years agoI have worked on all outstanding commissions.
Storm Catcher's is finally done. I will be making slight tough ups thanks to RFtigermode suggestions. I think she is right about applying her color theory.
I have been watching all the carebear movies again recently. Crazy stuff. Apparently if you spy on children and pretend to be their friend it isn't considered stalking in the 1980s.
Nall asked me to draw a few carebears as he thought it might be cool. As I drew Tenderheart and Braveheart Lion I did a few doodles of some friends.
All remaining commissions are being worked on. I will go to AC with a clean slate. Even if I must deliver finished work in person.
I am working on things to fill my two panels in mature and regular art gallery.
I have settled all school issues, I hope. I just need to check on the meal plan and that it is active.

It looks like I will make it for sure. My room is set with Reggie, and I am making further arrangements for travel as of the last week of April.
I apologize for my lack of activity here.
I have been working on alot of things, and old stuff is piled high. New stuff needs to get going, and there are several people currently waiting for newer or continuations of commissions.
Somehow it all needs to get done in ten weeks, and my arrangements for college. Damn that flu and cold set me back. I'll get cracking.

I also have been striving to avoid instant messengers as people have not been very considerate about my response times, and demanding I respond when I am working in the background. I am not intelligent enough to do two things at once, sorry to disappoint.
My health Much better now, and I am 27. I did a couple of birthday pics for other people as well. They are around here somewhere.

Posted 18 years agoHappy new year. I'm a bit under the weather, and haven't even had the strength to sit in this chair for a while now and type. I have been pushing myself to work, and have been told to rest. I don't like feeling lazy =D

I've been working a lot on drawing and WoW lately. The sketchbook is coming along nicely, Manx and Feral seem to be my favorites among the SWAT Kats universe.
Got the next few Herc and Nemean Lion pictures fleshed out, and got quite a few new interesting tricks from
ivybeth to use.
Cyberwuffy seems happy, I'll be finishing his work before the weekend of the 17th when he goes on vacation.
Got Stormcatcher still in my unfinished commissions folder waiting to be cleaned up and colored.
Kagnar and Sypke are coming up.
As for school, as odd as things went talking to my department came down to this, I cannot take any classes in the Spring semester toward my degree that is not a secular course that began it's material in the previous Fall.
Their solution? Just take all undergraduate courses and wait it out till fall, wasting about 12k in loans not even for classes that will be towards my major, food, and lodging.
The defense was that they would better prepare me. I can understand that, but if I cannot take at least one class towards the degree, than it is a rather expensive review session. 3 years out of a classroom or not.
I am going to talk to the Dean of Students office after this week if they continue to evade my questions in my department. I will defer my acceptance to the fall if possible when I can take full time and earn credits towards the masters.
It's been trying to say the least. I am fine though, just anxious. I am confident my decision is right for me, considering I am borrowing ever cent for the education. I am worried that my progress will be halted by lack of funds. I want to get this done before I am 30, and get on with things. That gives me 3 years.

Accepted into Grad College
Posted 18 years agoI've finally been accepted into the Graduate college I had my eye on, and will be registering as a full time student.
Moving will be a little bit difficult again, but I am willing to get off my ass and finally do something. All the part time jobs really couldn't help me out it seems no matter how much experience it gave me.
First day of classes is January 15th.
I plan to have my commissions finished by New Years the Latest. I do not think I will be accepting anything new given I have a sketch book to fill with SWAT Kat smut in this time in addition to the regular stuff.
Thankfully Stomrcatcher's has been redone to something I like, and Kagnar and Spkye will have theirs worked on as well. I finished up H's, and moved back to redoing Karwood's and Brophey's and am about to color them again. Cyberwuff's needs some attention too.
I think that is more than enough.
I am very nervous about being out of the system for so long and will more likely begin prepping myself before I go back. Going back cold turkey seems suicide.
It's a shame
captaingerbear was about to start the Hurt Me group again, and I so desperately need assistance with making my characters, especially women look like they hold their weight properly. I had just been touching on walk cycles and how the two genders and different character build hold their weights.
I am really going to miss working on artwork as much as I use too, but getting a masters and a job which will support me has always been my priority. I need to make this happen.
Particularly in the upper income bracket, even if it means leaving the math department and transferring to somewhere else.
Moving will be a little bit difficult again, but I am willing to get off my ass and finally do something. All the part time jobs really couldn't help me out it seems no matter how much experience it gave me.
First day of classes is January 15th.
I plan to have my commissions finished by New Years the Latest. I do not think I will be accepting anything new given I have a sketch book to fill with SWAT Kat smut in this time in addition to the regular stuff.
Thankfully Stomrcatcher's has been redone to something I like, and Kagnar and Spkye will have theirs worked on as well. I finished up H's, and moved back to redoing Karwood's and Brophey's and am about to color them again. Cyberwuff's needs some attention too.
I think that is more than enough.
I am very nervous about being out of the system for so long and will more likely begin prepping myself before I go back. Going back cold turkey seems suicide.
It's a shame
captaingerbear was about to start the Hurt Me group again, and I so desperately need assistance with making my characters, especially women look like they hold their weight properly. I had just been touching on walk cycles and how the two genders and different character build hold their weights. I am really going to miss working on artwork as much as I use too, but getting a masters and a job which will support me has always been my priority. I need to make this happen.
Particularly in the upper income bracket, even if it means leaving the math department and transferring to somewhere else.
Visit to Soba's House
Posted 18 years agoWell it's finally happening, after a stressful period yet again I am off to visit to Soba's place. And already he is overdoing it. Not only has he planned out the food places in advance he is deciding how to spend free time not to waste a moment. He is trying way to hard to please people. He needs to just relax a little =D
I guess just hanging out and playing WoW together is out of the question.
I shall post a full report when I return of how things went, and hopefully Soba will have something to share as well in terms of new artwork we do or collab on.

I drew this morning, and am getting more done now.

I reached my conclusion.
It was never about how he treated me, what upset me was initially and fully how he treated my friends. That's what barraged me. When I suddenly realized he is your problem and not mine =D
So I felt a hell of a lot better. I also feel asleep this afternoon after 2 days of no sleep. So I just woke up.

There is no use getting upset over something that effects someone else I cannot control, I cannot make someone behave a certain way. I can overlook everything he did to me.

In the long line of delays
Posted 18 years agoAnother has reared it's ugly head. But It's gone now, permanently.
I am afraid to say a great deal has happened in the last three days. A friendship, well a one way friendship of some 6 years has come to a pretty bitter end for me.
I am not angry, merely disappointed.
A great deal of time and energy has been devoted to someone who doesn't deserve it. I faltered in my obligations making time, about 20+ hours a week for the person drawing, talking, and speaking on the phone just for them.
I hope I am thinking straight. This person has done so little to return my affections, and after his latest temper tantrum has not only left one of my close friends confused and befuddled over something to do with me and my little time waster.
So here I am , up till 5 am at night weighing the pros and the cons. I am afraid the cons just outweigh the pros. This person has to go. They cause too much trouble over nothing, and this was their second chance. They treated me like a doormat again. They blew it. When they spend all their money buying the affections of other people, end up even more in debt, and wonder where all his money and friends went I will not be there to comfort them.
They crossed the line, plain and simple. A simple "I'm sorry" will not fix a problem that has repeated for over 6 years. You wasted my time, patience, and my effort. Frankly, I am not angry. Never have been, just very disappointed.
For my effort over the past few months on this person I've fallen behind. On not only drawing buy social little things like WoW or what not because they asked me not to play, yet they play a MMoRPG constantly and talk about it themselves. Hippocracy. Yay.

Posted 18 years agoI've done all I can to be readmitted for grad school. After November 1st I will know for sure whether I have been accepted or not.
My right shoulder and arm have been in alot of pain lately, the most pain I have experienced in my life. I believe I am sleeping on it incorrectly as my futon is now a flaton.
Advil isn't help much or ice packs.
I've put the comic on hold, as I haven't had time to even do the backgrounds at all. I've been fighting to get myself more free time, but as it turns out World of Warcraft is not eating into my personal time, as I play less than 10 hours a week. People are, whom are not being considerate of my situation.
I enjoy talking to people, however; not when it takes 2+ hours a person who isn't even there in the flesh. No one is that interesting. People cannot take hints "I need to work on commissions" seems to be a catalyst of I will continue to keep talking despite your need to do things.
I've been short with people, and unfortunately staying invisible has caused me to miss a few people I wanted to catch up with, particularly MaskedLion.
My auction is nearing 400 views, but only has 7 bids and is up to 150 bucks now. Remember you get a themed sketch book, perfect for those ideas you want to see elaborated on or developed. Quite a few people expressed interest who have no bidded yet, asking if they could get multiple characters done, or let me loose. Orcs are welcome yes, among other things. Nearly there
Posted 18 years agoJust when I got to get things finished and squared away more and more seems to be happening. The summer is never a boring period of time with my family.
Today we put our dog of some 14 years to sleep, and it completely frazzled my mother. So much so she is thinking less than usual. She's gone back to the state she was in when my grandmother and Aunt died. With so many health problems in the family and her own age going up I can see how it would eat at her.
Forgive me for trailing along the rest of you and not putting things up regularly. There is no excuse for it. Alot of you have busier or more complex lives and manage to put forth things on a routine rather than in bursts.
I saw Stormy is around again, more the reason for me to get off my tailstub and give him his stuff =D
Cyberwuff will want his update, and Psychoboy Jack's commission will be posted, which incidentally he's already seen and is completed. though it doesn't count if I keep tweaking it ^^;
Hercules is coming up just as soon as Karwood and Brophey get hammered on a bit more.
Kagnar is there as well and I wouldn't forget him. Lanny needs his Diego picture. There is one more, but for the life of me I cannot recall the character's name only the person. A good thing I saved all reference work.

Posted 18 years agoI became quite ill last Thursday and immediately stopped me dead. I couldn't think, literally.
So needless to say during that time no artwork got done, but I am getting it all back and am feeling the urge to draw again.

Posted 18 years agoI had a few people ask me to come back- and managed to have another hear to heart talk with Damartus. I really had a great time, as people constantly made their way over to me or vice versa asking "Where have you been? Where are you now?" Even with a business card I printed with Furry Art Pile, no one seemed to know or use the site much.
As it stands the site doesn't see even half the traffic my old DA site. Havoc is still working on the LOE- and with no launch date in site, and his job taking him by the neck each day I'm just left drawing for no audience.
I'll start reusing this site July - August, just before I make my final decision about going back to college and seeing if I can make it towards the beginning of my master's again in a math related field.
