General | Posted 15 years agoFunny how every time I set myself up for a big return, I always vanish without a trace soon thereafter.
Doubt you guys wanna hear all the shit that's been happening this time (most troubling of which involve my computer going boom), but hey, I THINK I'm back on my feet again...
Now, this is why I always demand payment AFTER I do commissions. :p
After I manage to transfer the files of my old HD, which is proving to be quite a pain in the ass, I'll be able to post some pictures up. A few of which are long-overdue commissions. No worries, though, I won't ask for payment of these. ^^; It's been far too long and I don't feel as though I have any right to do so at this point!
A special thanks to my great friends, Kensuke, Kalenidus, Regi and Tempest for helping me out and getting me a new computer. I really needed it! Now I can be productive! :D
I'll be doing some sketches again, though I think I want to wait a little while before trying out for commissions again... to be honest, it's like everytime I open them, a chain of life-altering events takes place. I feel like I'm asking for trouble...
Expect some pictures when I get my HD to stop being a cunt and freezing up mid-transfer. Getting my files is a slow process, but I think I'll have things to show you in a week or so. Right now, however, I'm working on new art on this computer.

Some of you may have heard... but I'll abreviate it by saying I had an unfortunate run-in with the US on my way to AC. Was throughly depressed for a good long while, and my artistic drive went down the drain. If I forced myself to do commissions in that state, they woulda looked like shit, so I thought it'd be beneficial to everyone if I rode out my artistic rut first.
On top of that, I've had to find myself a new job, and I'm also organizing for my own kiln to be shipped to me! I'm starting my own ocarina side-business, for that all-important pocket-cash. My more "regular" job is as an English teacher.
That's right. Panch is juggling between being an English teacher, an artist, and an ocarina craftsman.

I don't think my furry watchers know I make them yet, so I might as well let all of you guys know.
They're often labelled as "Vessel flutes". They are small musical instruments that typically sound sweet and warm. Usually their construction is of ceramic, though wood and plastic are two common alternatives.

But meh. Non of my watchers know I make them, so I guess it's really about time I showed yas all.

I'd like to thank everyone for helping me out! I'm up with my parents now, so money isn't TOO big of an issue (but still an issue nontheless). I will continue to take commissions though, so those who didn't make it into my first batch needn't worry. :)
I'm just posting a more detailed pricing here, so people contemplating commissions have a better idea of what to expect for what price. If this changes the price of current commissions, those of you accepted in my first batch won't be affected.

Sketch details:
$10 - Single character, no background.
+ $5 for a background.
+ $7 for any additional character.
Colored pictures:
Simple coloring typically goes for twice its value in sketch form. Characters with complex features such as wings or elaborate outfits could raise the price, so check with me.
If you want me to give your picture a nice color job, then expect to pay at least three times its sketch value, because a lot more effort is put into the picture. Once again, complexities raise the price.
I'll post examples of everything when I manage to make my USB work with these horrid netcafe computers. ^^

General | Posted 16 years agoWell, I'm sure (or at least hoping) that some of you have wondered where I've been as of late. Well, my life's been something of a coller-coaster, full of ups, downs and unsteady internet and computer access.
My last journal was posted over a year ago, just as I reached my 19th birthday, so I might write another soon to fill you guys in on what's been happening with my life. However, right now I have something far more pressing that I need to address;
I am currently stuck in a cheap hotel in Bangkok with no money, no contact with family, and what little funds I have for said hotel are running very low.
Nevermind how I got in this mess. I just am. I'm calling out to anyone who likes my art, or anyone who's willing to help me out. I'm opening sketch commissions, starting at a cheap $10 USD. Don't like my art? Tell a friend who does and you'll be doing me a great favor. If you're a friend reading this, or just a helpful soul, then it'd be great if you could mention my situation and offer in your next journal!

1. One day, I’d like to animate toons for a living. XD
2. I need spicy food. Not “like”. Not “love”... I need it. I even got a pizza named for me at a pizza shop I go to. XD

I’ve never backed out in Truth or Dare and I’ve never, NEVER lost a game of poker (that I’ve remembered >.>; )... call me competitive. XD
7. During summer months, I barely eat. I sometimes go for three days with only a pack of chips... I drink a lot of water, though. XD
8. I’m sure you all know this, but I love my mate Kensuke! I’m the luckiest guy in the world to have him, and I wouldn’t trade him for anything! It’s also his birthday today (it’s the 17th right now in Australia)! So a big, early happy birthday to my mate! I’ve been trying hard to get a gift done, but I bit off more than I can chew... it’s going to be late. ;-;

Just before I left, I got myself another haircut. You know what that means?

I know, I know... Panch and I are completely different things, though we share the same name. I dunno why I bother keeping his hair similar to mine. Old habits die hard, I guess. :3

Well, there you have it. Please tell me what you think and give me some advice on pricing, I haven't opened up commissions before, and I'm worried I'm over/undercharging. As you know my art isn't the best out there, so I tried making them cheap. :)

These prices have been doubled since yesterday, due to recommendations from you guys.
I'm pretty sure these prices are okay, considering you guys told me to do this. XD
