I would LOVE to do commissions, but I am so off put lately. People get bent out of shape if you charge a few bucks. Everything has to be CHEAP or FREE nowadays. No amount of detail or labor on an art piece has any merit to commissioners nowadays it seems. It's quite depressing.
If I could make beautiful pieces of fully finished art within an hour and it has the utmost detail to it, yeah I'd only charge like $10. But no, it takes me longer, I'm sorry. I explain to every one this and I am very fair. If something is going to take me 5 hours or more to work on, I am going to charge more than $10, sorry to break it to you.
If people can ever get over this, then cool, I might do commissions again. I've completely stopped doing my lanyards for now since the last fur con I went to no one was even interested, and people thought they were overpriced. I had them for cheaper than usual... They can take me HOURS to make, so how is $20 expensive? Materials + labor costs more than that ):
Anyways... I'm done ranting. If you get offended, tough titty lol. ILU all but always remember, do not devalue an artist's work, it's very disrespectful and hurtful ):

General | Posted 13 years agoI had my ups and downs during FurIdaho, but it was a blast in the long run!
Thanks for all who supported me weather it was your kind words or buying some of my art =3 I ALMOST broke even on cost of ticket/table/supplies, but not quite. Maybe someday I'll be able to get profit so I can get a better button maker and my own printer/laminater ;~; SOME DAY! XD
This weekend helped me out a lot. It was stressful but I did get to have fun most times which helped me cope with some stuff going on lately with me.
