What to do Regarding AI Chatbots
Posted 2 years agoA couple of months ago, I discovered that a few of my friends had their OC's stolen and placed on AI Roleplay chatbot sites such as www.character.ai and www.caveduck.io. Upon discovering these, I was sure to message all those who I could find on the site and give help to see if they could be removed. I am unsure how much this has helped, especially given that there were less than ten examples I could find at the time between both sites, at least of direct character theft.
Unfortunately in the months following this, the problem seems to have worsened. As described by Jaybat on this post, one user on Character AI had copied the likeness of countless dozens of users for use as chatbots. While the account no longer exists on the site, either for being discovered or having been taken down due to DMCA requests, this is likely not the end of the issue, and this theft is likely to continue.
As per the terms of service on Character.AI, they claim to respect the intellectual property of others, and do accept DMCA notices on the site. While people are not able to file claims on behalf of others, if you find your character stolen on the site, please file a complaint on this page https://support.character.ai/hc/en-us/requests/new. In the case that you find another person's character, please be sure to inform them as well. This would apply both to the specific character being stolen, as well as your art being used as a thumbnail for the chatbot, as is the case for many Pokemon characters across the site.
While Caveduck does not seem to have a similar option to file a DMCA request, there should still be an option to send a report through a google form on the bottom of the page featuring the character. Please be sure to spread the word so that more people are aware of this issue!
edit: It's come to my attention that sending the DMCA request may send your personal details to the offending party, and not just for personal verification for Character.AI. Please keep this in mind before sending a request, while continuing to ramp up social pressure against the site.

Sept 2023 Patreon Update

It's been a while.
I firstly wish to apologize on the radio silence up until now. The last few months had me dealing with both depression and college finals, but after graduating I am ready to get back to the grind and continue working on commissions, personal story and Patreon Exclusives.
Here are a few quick updates to the Patreon experience:

New Tier Benefits
Those in the $20 Pico High Priest tier and above have new options for commissioning me. Each month you will have the opportunity to send me any image (That you have the rights to use / was commissioned or drawn by you), and you will receive a short story to go along with it! And as an added bonus to those who have supported me for so long. Any patron who has pledged any amount up until now will also be eligible for this month.
New Stories and Benefits
I plan on posting stories, both long and short, to the Patreon in much greater frequency over the next few months. In addition, to patreons pledging $10 and above, you will be able to view a selection of WIP projects on my Discord server, being able to give suggestions and feedback. Three of these WIP's will be posted today, with more to come. You will also see aborted stories and deleted scenes that for one reason or another failed to make the final cut.
Commissions
While I am still working on my current commission batch, I will be opening one commission slot on the 14th of September, so stay tuned for when I open!

Feb 2023 Story updates

Apologies for the lack of updates until now, things haven't exactly been the easiest for me the past couple of weeks, however by now I am completely in the groove of things, and am back to writing stories!
I wanted to give some updates on my upcoming projects, and here's what you should be able to expect over the next few weeks:
Wave 1:
Unwanted Guests - A commission for Squishi featuring his nano swampert meeting a massive Revali (Currently ~7100 words)
Melodic Meal (Working Title) - A commission for StarSage featuring a second person POV being eaten by Kass. Features foodplay and full tour (Currently ~4000 words)
Wave 2:
Desktop Assistant (Working Title) - A commission for Smack featuring his folf being turned into a desktop assistant on an unaware Eve's computer (Currently in outlining)
Untitled Flick Story - A commission for Ahri featuring his mouse getting a taste of his own medicine after being caught being mean to insects by Flick (Currently ~2200 words)
Untitled Post-Undertale Story - A personal piece featuring a nano Undyne trying to get the attention of an unaware Alphys (Currently in outlining)
As thanks for being patient with me for so long, I also want to share a new story with you guys today, one written as a collaboration with both myself and Gameb9oy in attempt to get myself back into writing. Expect it to be posted to Patreon later tonight. Like other stories, it will remain exclusive to Patreon members for two weeks before being uploaded to FA.
