Started feeling depressed about relationships again and how I have none... so I got into my cousin's wine to dull the pain. Working.... we'll see after I finish the rest of this glass off.

Been a trying few days folks. I still have no scanner and at the moment I'm currently crashing at my cousin's for the next few weeks.

There is some good news however. I now have the official departure date for my trip to New York! Woot!
I'll be heading out on August 15th!

Besides that, not much else going on. Still dealing with the cats, and my crazy ass aunt showed up at my work yesterday and started harassing me.

I'm hoping the sooner we get all the cats dealt with the closer all this will be coming to an end.

I spoke to my mom today, she's getting released from the hospital today. She seemed allot better when I spoke to her and a little more accepting of my leaving. I think just being away from my grandmother is making a difference too. She still needs to be in a rehab for her pill addiction, but I have no clue what's happening with that at this point. In any case things are somewhat starting to move in the right direction.

There are a few set backs at the moment as far as getting to New York. No worries though, I'm still at my aunt's for the time being and I'm fine. My mom is now in a very good hospital, hopefully she'll stay there and accept the help she needs this time.
I still have all the help I need over here, as far as New York and financial.

The good news is, I was able to get some things out of my house the other day, my tablet and art supplies etc... however, I'm still unable to get access to a scanner and even so I can't do anything here anyway art wise. The very most I can do right now is stay online as long as I can and keep you guys up to date.

Absolute worse case scenario, I'll start sending refunds for commissions. I honestly don't know how long it'll be before I can get to those.
As for trades, those who haven't started their half yet, please just hold off on that until I know when or if I'll be able to get my half done.
If you've already done your half, then I'll do my best to get to that soon as I possibly can and I appreciate your patients.

I'm also trying to catch up on my notes and emails, but I can't get to every single one right away, and likely none at all. If you havn't received a reply yet or don't get one, please don't be mad at me? Seriously, I'm not trying to be mean or rude, just... everything is happening so abruptly and all at once. >_<*

Yes! My aunt and uncle have agree to pay for my plain ticket. Gonna be making a ton of phone calls today, and allot of affairs to get in order, but it's looking like it'll happen sometime within the next 4 weeks.... more update so on this as it develops.... but YAY! So excited!! *bounces*

Those of you who saw the recent SPJ post are probably wondering what was going on that I spent over 3 and a half hours at the hospitable last night... sadly I don't have time to go into much detail, so I'll&nbsp;&nbsp;have to update this later, but long story short the night ended up with my mom being taken in the&nbsp;&nbsp;back of a police car to a mental health facility in Riverside.... again there is allot more to this story and I'll try to get more info here soon as I can. Though in the meantime, I'm currently staying at my aunt's house until we know how things will play out....

There have been allot of things I've been downplaying for the past several months now for the sake of privacy. One of which, is that in the 6 years and last several months mom and I have been caring for my grandmother, there has been allot of abuse, both physical and mental. It got so bad that my mom eventually cracked and now is in a mental health facility where she will be shipped off to rehab for her pill addiction.

As for me, my aunt pulled me out of that house due to the unsafe and unhealthy living conditions. You all know I talk about out cats, I am finally going to say that we have been living in a house with 50 cats..... 50! The house wreaks of urine, waste and until I got to my aunt's didn't realize how bad my clothes smelled. My uncle is calling social services tomorrow to deal with the house and the cats. As much as I hate having to loose my 5 cats, I just... I can't live that way anymore. My grandmother would never let me leave the house and I had to quit school because I had to take care of all the cats.... no joke. Again, these are all things that I've been keeping offline for years. Some of you who I've spoken with either on PM, MSN over the phone etc. know of my situation already. I've been doing all the work, caring for all those animals, going to work, cleaning up after my grandma, paying for groceries and bills, while my mom lies on the sofa all day.... and this really isn't even the half of it, but it's all I can really go into now.

Anyway, things are finally getting dealt with after so many years of me being told to keep my mouth shut. I'm out of that house for now and staying with my aunt until we can get things settled, my mom is getting the help she needs and gram will be going to a home soon where she can get the help she needs by people who know how to handle her.

Another reason I'm posting all this is to warn that this will delay trades and commissions a little further as I've had to leave all my art supplies and tablet back at the house. I don't know how long I'll be at my aunt's house, so please bare with me? I'm gonna be fine, I may have a hard time keeping up with things even more now, but I'm fine now that I'm finally out of all that mess.

I'll be around of course since I at least have my comp and a net connection. I have my zip drive and files with me so the comic will remain updated on schedule.

For now I have to head off to work. Thank you everyone for reading and for your support. I think the sooner I can get myself to NY at this point, the better.

Now, keeping my already extremly full plate in mind, I'll only be accepting the pin ups at this time.

Prices:
Pin ups are $25.00 and come fully colored and shaded and can either be cheesecake or full on nude. Be sure to specify in your commission info.
Additional characters are $5.00 (limit 3, please?)

Rules:

Please be sure to include a colored reff of your character.
I will only draw characters in nude (or half nude) poses. No sexual acts or fetishes at this time.

Things around here are not improving and if anything, are getting worse. I've been making plans to move in with  RuckforderungReich
in New York since January, but saving money is becoming impossible. I just spent over $115.00 on pet food at the store today. I'm not letting my family drama drag me any further into the pit of despair they've dug for themselves! I'm getting out, and the only thing that seems to be standing in my way at this point is money and transportation. At this point, I'm considering on taking commissions again to help pay my way there.

I'm 30 years old, and still have a bright future ahead and too many things I want to accomplish. I'll be damned if I'm still in the same place and situation 5 years from now because of this bull shit!

As for commissions, I'm still not sure about accepting anything big. I still have a comic to keep up with, so it may only be bust shots or sketches.... I'll have some reasonable prices up in which case once I make a decision. I'm even considering taking on some adult themed commissions.

I finally managed to get out of the house yesterday. The last few weeks have been overwhelmingly stressful with more RL drama. It's gotten to the point where it's spilled over into work, and I'm cretin at this point that I've blown any chance at getting the promotion I was offered. Everything's seems to be falling apart all at once. >_<*

Anyway, so I finally escaped from things and spent the afternoon at  Vixian's house. The first time I've been able to have any sort of a social life in... omg, almost a year I think. Not since grandma went into the hospital last year. besides that, the closest thing I've had to a social life (or a life at all) is going to work.

By the time I got home, I was feeling refreshed. Leaving the house for a few hours was helpful and even better, when I got home, my new Wacom capture was sitting on the kitchen counter, waiting for me! I got to play with it some last night and finish another page for SPJ's second comic. I was worried that this model wouldn't be able to fit my needs as it's made mainly for photo editing, and the actual drawing area is only 5x7, plus it responds to both pen and touch, so I was concerned that it would be overly touch sensitive unlike my old tablet... turns out it's working out just as well as my other one. Now I just have to keep it away from the kitties ^^;

PS: if this journal is filled with typos and spelling errors, then I apologies. I'm not exactly awake yet. I'll fix them later. I have a ton of house work to do today as we have family coming tomorrow.

Okay, I took all I had in my savings and ordered a Wacom Bamboo Capture. (it was the least expensive of the bunch)
I've never used this model before, so I hope it'll allow me to ink and color like my old tablet. That's really all I need it for.

I just can't go back to inking by hand, especially not with SPJ. If so, I wouldn't able to create same amount of detail with my backgrounds. >_<*

Well I got the new cable today, but it appears that the tablet is still unresponsive.
I've come to the conclusion that it's the tablet and not the cable T_T

Look like I'll be getting a new one. *sigh*

Amazing how time flies. It'll be one year ago this Tuesday, that SPJ http://pandajenn.com was launched!
Since then, we have posted a total 16 pages (soon to be 17 this Sunday), have been a featured guest on "Indeed Podcast", have acquired 51339 hits (and counting.) and have made it on the top 200 on The Web Comics List!

Here's hoping for an even better year for SPJ! :D
