I'll keep this brief as I can...
I had a good time. I will return to AC - probably not til 2014 however (july 4th next year - BAH - hard weekend for me to get time off...)

I ran "the improv panel" as it was called on friday night. My very first time being a panelist... and it was at Anthrocon... on friday night.... WHAT THE **** WAS I THINKING?!?!

I know getting me up there instead of the Whose Lion is it Anyways crew was like ordering a steak and getting a hot dog, but many many thanks to  roxas
for keeping me sane during my panic attacks leading up to it and helping me run it partner ^_^

To  semjay  alkalibismuth and any of the other Whose Lion crew - I have a newfound respect for just how different RUNNING an improv panel is than simply participating in one >.> Alkali and Roxas without you two I could not have pulled it off - Many many many thanks!

Thanks immensely to those of you who came TO the panel. I hope you had a fun time. If you enjoyed it then you should come by indyfurcon in August for some improv on our main events stage (sorry mandatory iFC plug LOL), and unless I'm mistaken "Whose Lion" will be at MFF2012? Yes? No?? Bueller???

On the down side... I didn't suit anywhere near enough, I didn't drink anywhere near enough, and I got to spend way too little time with people cause it's so freakin huge of a convention now >.>
However I did spend a couple hours suiting on the street outside the Westin and had OODLES of people taking pics of the star trek panda... AND of the star trek TIGER! (thanks to  nightprowler for letting me borrow his suit and confuse the heck out of people... until they got up close anyhow - I'm a tad shorter and chubbier than our fluffy iFC chairman).

Overall rating a B+ this year for the Panda.

The almighty economy has caused the closing of our beloved Fernando's outside of the Pittsburgh convention center. He'll be shutting his doors in about a month, well before AC2012. I have not the words. Such an awesome little diner with great food. I hope Fernando himself can get to the con as like a special guest or something!

MFF was a blast. totally got to hang out with  harleycoyote there and after the con.  rayes showing up was great though i barely saw him - shame on you you sexy beast :D
My truck dying IN CHICAGO and having to spend $3k to revive it over MFF weekend was decidedly NOT fun, but **** happens and sometimes you just gotta deal with it :( ah well.
Depending on how my spring goes it's entirely possible I won't be at another con until iFC next august! Hoping to get to FCN but it's kinda up in the air at the moment.

iFC2011 has come and gone. We had a good time, and we hope you did too. But now is the time to look to the future! iFC2012 - FURS IN SPACE!
Both during the con, and in the last several weeks following iFC2011, the Board has been going over lots and LOTS of feedback about the convention.

After careful deliberation, we have decided to relocate to the Sheraton at Keystone Crossing. While have enjoyed our previous 2 years at the old location, we have decided relocating will open up more options for us, and you the congoers as well. The Sheraton we will be located in has snackbar (with starbucks coffee) and a bar on the main level, with lots of seating for congregating. The panel rooms and main ballroom will be much more satisfactory in terms of size and layout. Oh, and did we mention theres a hallway leading to covered parking (no holding art supplies in one hand an an umbrella in the other), as well one to the adjacent Fashion Mall? http://www.simon.com/mall/?id=166 if you'd like to check out what they have to offer!

The new hotel is also only a few minutes away from our old location, so all the businesses and restaurants you have become accustomed to being in proximity to are still close at hand.

So iFC2011 went pretty well. We had a modest increase in attendees over last year.
Hopefully next year will be the same if not an even higher increase!
I spent most of the con either at the reg desk or running errands for the con. Which was a tad odd - sending the Canadian all over Indianapolis to find stuff :p But whatever i can do to help eh? :)
I can't say enough about everyone staffing the convention - I won't name names because i WILL forget someone - but we all worked really hard and I hope it showed to the attendees.
At the end of the con I was asked to be head of Guest Relations for ifc2012. I was kinda freaked, but really happy at the same time.
