Where The Hell Have I Been?
Posted 4 years agoSo… Yeah. It’s been more than five years of the last time I posted a journal on the here! Safe to say, a lot has happened within that time span. But where the hell have I been and what the hell have I been up to ever since I stopped posting on FA 5 years ago? Well I’m going to explain what I have been doing and what I feel I’ve managed to achieve within those last five years.
First of all, quite a lot has been happening in these past years especially in recent times with the pandemic taking a toll on everyone. Before I stop posting on FA I was but still I am a small business owner, but I run a business doing videography particular offering services for wedding videos. However in October 2018 I had to stop trading as the business due to insurance costs being too high and struggling to get the work in. But ever since then I have taken a few ventures! The main one being starting a 3-D printing businesses which is been going pretty well and I’ve been getting more clients that I have with the video service, I also open up a business specialising in products for the amusements industry. This consists of mostly lighting, signage, 3-D lettering and everything in between.
Away from business related some of my (well, a couple to be specific) YouTube channels have been doing pretty well for me. In recent months I’ve been able to make £175 each month just from one of the channels alone. This has been really helping me to achieve stuff and get to places that I could’ve only dreamt of getting to. Well, some of them at least. Speaking of YouTube, I did start a new one in May 2020 which I will get through later explaining what that is and what it consists of because of something I ended up getting that I wouldn’t be able to do without it.
Another thing I’ve started doing is I did take up DJing in 2017 and have DJs at quite a few fairy events and conventions and even one time at a cousins wedding! However I did recently start taking up music producing after downloading professional music production software after several years of messing around in GarageBand. I managed to release my first single in August and I’m due to work on my second one which should be a collaboration product with a vocalist.
In terms of furry, I’ve been doing quite a lot and I’ve been getting small places within the fandom. Before I stopped posting on FA, it was only a couple of months away after I tended my very first ferry convention in March 2016 and it was a first year con which was Just Fur The Weekend in Bristol. I’ve been going every year ever since then and the convention would’ve been on its sixth year if it hadn’t been on the pandemic. Thanks Covid. I have also done a couple of other conventions, one being of course the UK’s biggest ConFuzzled since 2017 and managed to do ScotiaCon for the first time in November 2019. Which was also my very first time in Scotland!
There’s also one furry event I’ve done which isn’t considered a convention called furcation which is more of a furry caravan get away than a convention. I have been going every year since 2016, although I wasn’t in attendance in 2019 due to ongoing and higher priorities in Cheltenham, but I did manage to pay a visit to the event on the Sunday and the Monday.
Before I start posting on FA I was a regular attender of the Bristol meets and still am. It did have its ups and downs in terms of how they were rotten handled and attitudes towards finding a venue, but since the stuff overhaul in February 2019, they have helped make BristolFurs great again. I also managed to attend a LondonFurs meet for the first time in Feb 2017 and try to get to London meets whenever I can. I did also start doing the summer and winter parties in London ever since 2017. I’ve also done some a few other meets including Weston-super-Mare, Southampton and Andover. But in November 2018 I managed to get to somewhere I’ve wanted to go to ever since I joined the fandom in May 2013 (well, ever since I properly discovered it in summer 2012 actually) which was the meets in Manchester! It was a goal of mine ever since joining the fandom, and it felt so great to finally achieve it back then! I definitely want to go back for another one at some point in the future, hopefully later this year.
But one thing that without a doubt us in a way change my life and has been able to help me with accomplishing things I never thought I ever would be able to, I was finally able to become a big blue head dog for the first time in April 2020! I will link the video below to explain pretty much what I mean by this and the story I wanted to create behind it.
This without question has been able to help me with being able to achieve so much including starting a new YouTube channel, open up a door to so many possibilities and I would say get to know people I probably wouldn’t of gone to know. In May 2020 I did start of a brand-new YouTube channel dedicated to new experimental videos and I was still trying new stuff out with it to this day. This is another thing I will link below and if you are able to and you like what you see, it will be highly appreciated if you subscribe to the channel.

This is all I can possibly comment on for now and I feel like I could probably be a bit more active on FA at the moment, this is to help promote some of the work I get up to on the new channel as well as probably posting occasional stuff every now and then. Oh well, let’s see where things go from here! :)

Obligatory Where else to find me journal.
Posted 9 years agoJust before I go into this, I have NO plans to leave FA. I do however plan to stop posting on here along with Weasyl as I spend more time than I should posting one thing on the two sites. I will still use them as a way to get in contact with some artists in the future.
Since I recently set up a Furry Network account I will be making posts on there instead.

I also tend to be quite active over on Twitter.

JFTW
Posted 9 years agoNot bothered about doing a meme journal of it, but I will be at JFTW this week and it will be my first ever con. Hoping to arrive at the Holiday Inn Bristol-Filton on Friday either in the morning or noon.
New Years Resolutions
Posted 9 years agoOkay, I guess I have a couple of new years resolutions, even though they're not really major ones.
First one is to try and visit a variety of theme parks this year as I wanna keep my theme park YouTube channel going without risking it dying down. Second one is to try and get into proper fairground modelling. Preferably to build a model of a Technical Park Loop Fighter.

Bristol Furmeet August 2015
Posted 10 years agoNormally I would upload a group photo here and link a photo album and video in the description. But since I wasn't able to get a group photo at this meet, I've made a journal instead.
Taken on Saturday 22nd August 2015 in Bristol, UK. Ended up being smaller than usual solely due to it clashing with Eurofurence.
Photo album: https://flic.kr/s/aHskihAnNb
Video: https://youtu.be/GoBXuH9eOl8
Rush edit with the video as I didn't manage to get everything I wanted for it.

My thoughts on Disney's Zootopia
Posted 10 years agoWell, since it seems like most of this fandom is getting so hyped up about the very recent teaser trailer for the Disney 2016 movie 'Zootopia'.
How do I feel about this movie? To be honest, I'm not really excited neither looking forward to this movie at this stage. Why? Because at the moment we just have a teaser. Teaser trailers mostly tend to consist of a short sketch which is highly likely not to be in the final film. Meaning that we barely know anything about the final product.
I can't help but notice people non-furry but mostly furry saying how good it looks or it looks okay. But come on, we have only just been treated to this teaser. And this fandom seems to get so hyped up about this movie all because of the characters.
Judging by this, I'm convinced a lot of (if not most) furries will only praise Zootopia just because of the characters rather than how it actually will be as a movie.
I will likely see Zootopia when it comes out. But only to see how it actually turns out to be in terms of the execution, writing, premise, story and possible comedic delivery etc.
