Heya gang, it's been a rough few weeks for me and I'm only just starting to try and gee myself up into an artistic mood, and with two cons coming up this summer it's time I got my tail into gear XD I'll probably try the Alley at Anthrocon for one day, but I'm refusing to stress myself like last year, Confuzzled should be fun though :3

Heya gang, it feels like a long while since I set foot in FA, but to be honest there's not been much in way of creativity round here of late. January was a rather rushed month, what with work issues and the arrival of my nephew into the world, but hopefully now I'm starting to get back to normal, and thus getting stoked about attending both ConFuzzled and Anthrocon this year ^^

Follow-up to the phone interview, now they want me for a face-to-face interview *happydance* ^^

Just got off the phone from an interview, it was a bit scary as I've always had face-to-face chats, but y'know, I think it went well but I'm not counting my chickens just yet :)

Anyways, Happy Valentines' for tomorrow, for myself it's gonna be another one spent single, although I did get a card from a friend today, which was totally unexpected :)

Hiya guys, sorry if I've been a little quiet as of late, it's been a difficult few weeks at work, and upon returning home I've had literally no energy or desire to draw.

The good news is that I've got a new laptop to help with the process - I'll be using it for internetty things and my current stand-alone for graphical work. The tools are there and now I've just gotta put them to use. I shall be opening for commissions soon, details to follow...

And last night I became an uncle ^^ My sister gave birth to a baby boy named Leo, both mother and baby are well and still at the hospital, so I guess now I'm an Uncle Dave/Pan XD

So, RBW is in a few days time, and I'm rather excited about the prospect of going down to London to chill for a bit. I didn't quite get the art project that I wanted to finished due to sickness over the weekend, but I'm gonna bust my balls to try and get it in before my travel on Wednesday.

I have badges to complete for pickup, and I picked up some nice glossy paper to make prints of a couple of pieces of my best work, which will hopefully get sold *crosses fingers* and I'll also be available for badge and sketchbook commissions, so feel free to stop by my table - I don't bite *bigkittyeyes* =3

Right...RBW in just over a week, no dad in the house, no IM programs opened, iTunes on shuffle, ref pics on screen, canvas in front of my eyes, pencil in paw...

Been back at the gym for about a month now, going two or three times a week after work, the knee's beginning to feel normal again and I'm able to walk without the aid of crutches.

The cycling is going well also, I love my new Barracuda :3

Not much in the way of art though, I'm finding it very difficult to get motivated right about now, which is frustrating with a convention rapidly approaching -_-

One for the artists this, or anyone else who can help :) I've got a project in mind for an upcoming convention, and I wondered about hi-res printing, lemme explain further:

Most of the time I colour using Prisma markers, what I wanna know is if I wanted to sell prints of a certain picture, is it better to undertake the task with my own printer or put them in the hands of someone else? When I was over in the US for last year's AC I know that some artists popped along to Kinkos and other places, and I'm just wondering if it's worth doing the same over here?

Obviously the scanned picture never looks as good as the original, but for the purposes of created prints what would be the best settings to use (resolution, image size, etc?)

Any help on such a matter would be greatly appreciated :)
