TLDR; Have ADHD, getting treatment, otherwise doing pretty good.

Just a little update on my personal life, something I rarely talk about, for those interested. No crisis, no call to action, just a summary of how things are going for me.

I've been pretty quite about it over here, but you may or may not know that I live with ADHD. There are certainly people a lot worse off than I am, and I consider myself very fortunate in life, all things considered. I was living untreated for quite some time, but after returning to school over these past couple years I found that it really got in the way of just functioning on a basic level. Trying to get help has been a frustrating and expensive road, but I'm on the way to recovery; just ironing out the kinks at this point.

The best way I can explain it is like this: Imagine your brain is a radio. Things you're trying to focus on are like a station you need to tune into. With ADHD, there's a constant static in the background. Typical drugs used to help concentration, like supplements or caffeine, boost the signal, but the static is still there. Proper medication works a bit different, instead of boosting the signal it quiets the static. So in this sense its more like being distracted less easily than being able to focus more.

I'm still not where I want to be, but I've only recently gotten help and haven't gone through the dance of fine-tuning everything yet. I will say, though, that what help I have gotten has been a night and day change. If everything goes according to plan my output should become a bit better here soon. Medication is not a magic fix to motivation but at the very least it will let me harbor some discipline.

Anyways, that's my spiel regarding my current situation. Everything else in life is going pretty well, no complaints there. Just wanted to humanize myself a bit since I always tend to keep my personal life and work as separate as possible, lol

Last I looked into them they were basically just a placeholder site with no real functionality. Saw someone mention them and checked it out again; they've really grown up! I'm trying to find a place to centralize my commissions/products for ease of accessibility. If anyone has any experience using that site, good or bad, I would love to hear it!

As you all know, FA has come out with some new policy changes. I just wanted to make it clear that i don't plan on going anywhere and I doubt anything of mine is going to be flagged under the new policy.

Just an update on my current situation.

The storm hit me pretty bad, but my family and I are all safe and well. We have enough food and water for the foreseeable future. No power, Internet, or drinkable running water yet, however. No assistance necessary, just putting things on temporary hold until I get a sense of normalcy back.

tl;dr Doing fine, just taking a mandatory break from work.

So I've been looking into Ko-fi lately (a little late to the bandwagon, I know). I already have a Patreon, but I feel like Ko-fi better lines up with my current schedule and work habits. I'm mainly interested in using it like a tip jar and for managing commissions. Anyone have any experience with their commissions branch? Their monthly sub service?

Does anyone have any experience shipping adult artwork in the US? I've been thinking about offering hard copies, but I'm afraid there might be some pitfalls (legal or otherwise) that I may be unaware of.

If I keep up with regular adopts and YCH stuff, would people prefer I move that to another account or are people cool with the spam here? Just curious, no set plans as of yet.
