Epic dream.
Posted 10 years agoJust woke up and I have to share this before it's lost.
Holy shit, I don't dream often, but when I do MAN are they good. It was a long, intricate dream about a woman (I have no idea what her job was, maybe an author?) being invited to an island to meet with a countess. Apparently she took a boat ride with a murloc from World of Warcraft (it's a fish person)? But anyway, after a long night of dancing and mingling in the keep at the edge of town she finds that the main portcullis is closed and there's bodies in the streets beyond. It turns out that the whole town (of like, twenty people) turns out to be meat puppets controlled by the countess and a scullery maid.
Actually thought it was just the scullery maid first. Turns out she was a demon summoned from an unbreakable hand mirror (Actually, if the lead character could have killed the host, then she could have broken the mirror, but she didn't know that! :C ). There was a legendary chase scene that ended with the lead character climbing to the top of the keep, and scaling down the wall. Mind you this gal was wearing a dress the whole time, like super fancy ballroom dress, she ditched the heels right at the start of the chase though.
Also, I want to point out that the dialogue (which is fading now that I am waking up) was AMAZING. The poor woman was terrified but defiant, the demon was cocky and sure of it's victory.
Anyway, the lady escaped into town (which actually had another wall around it) and booked it to the gatehouse/library. Yeah, that part doesn't make sense, but dream logic. Of course the gatehouse's exit to the docks is locked with another portcullis
Here's where the countess made here big reveal.
Then the most epic game of keep away happened.
No seriously, this part went on for at least ten minutes. The demon and the countess started to brag how they could keep this up forever because of their immortality, they were after the lady's soul and it would refresh their magic.
So, the lady finally took them apart with a branch trimmer.
That's right, she found a branch trimmer (the pinch kind) and was quick enough (and strong enough as well, the branch trimmer didn't look all that sharp) to cripple fingers and cut tendons until the demon and the countess couldn't really chase her. Then she left.
BUT GUYS HERE IS THE BEST PART AND WHAT MAKES THE DREAM EPIC.
So, she's escaping on this boat right? And she's just flipping off the island because fuck those bitches. The countess and the demon are just standing at the docks smiling wickedly at the murloc because of course he's working for them. Well, the murloc takes a look at the witches, and then turns to the lady who is covered in blood, manically laughing, and flipping of the Island while holding on to a very bloody branch trimmer.
So he turns back to the Island an double flips it off and makes the murloc sound.
Cue angry countess and demon, the sun rising, and the ship sailing off into the oncoming day.
Then I woke up.
