First Submission Plans
Posted 12 years agoSince I've broken my silence by actually doing up a profile and journals, I figure it's about time I started doing some submissions. True, I can't draw to save my life, but given my efforts on Corruption of Champions, I don't think I'm that bad of a writer. So, time to do up some actual writing... only problem is, what do I write about?
See, I've got a couple of ideas I could possibly pursue, but I'm not sure which one to pursue - or if any of them are even worth writing. So, I was hoping I might get some feedback on what one to go for.
Strangeville Chronicles: An idea I've been chucking around for a while, this can basically be described as "The Sims with Furries meets Corruption of Champions". Ironically, this would probably be more slices of life with various persons/locations in the titular city, though naturally plenty of odd stuff gets involved.
Glorana Adventures: Dark furry fantasy exploits in a world inspired by Conan the Barbarian and Warhammer.
The Warped West: A setting for western-fantasy-horror tales inspired by Spellslinger and Deadlands, revolving around a culture clash between the Easterners (steampunk tech-equipped furries) and the Westeners (magically adept humans & monster-girls) along the boundries of the "New Territories".
Tales of the Infinite: Stories in a homebrewed superhero setting taking inspiration from... well, all over the place, but definitely elements from Valiant Comics.
So, how does this work? Hopefully, and presuming this isn't illegal, I get comments here noting which one of these "settings" folks are interested in seeing me write. I'll then start posting world-building elements, allowing interested readers a chance to point out any stupid or mary-sue ideas I'm having. Once I got enough, I'll start writing for that setting - might use a similar journal poll method to pick if I have an abundance of stories, it all depends.

Erotica Esoteria
Posted 12 years agoSomething I touched upon in my last journal and, having reflected upon it in passing, I just can't stop. So, some personal ruminations on things that turn me on - or off.
The Likes
The fetishistic things that I find myself attracted to are a weird mix, as I don't hesitate to confess. I don't know why this particular motley array of fetishes gets me going, but then, does anyone?
Furries/Monster-Girls/Aliens: I guess no real explanation is needed here; I wouldn't be here otherwise if I didn't have some kind of attraction to the inhuman.
Male/Female: I comfortably self-identify as straight, so, naturally, this doesn't really need explaining.
Male Human/Female Xenos: This one, I feel, does need explaining. At its rudiment, it's probably a combination of the above fetishes. Actually putting thought into explaining it, I guess, as is common with many fetishes, there's a certain element of wish fulfilment. The male character is someone I can inherently sympathise with, project myself into; the female character becomes a source of in-art and out-world eroticism and tantalization. In other words, such erotica "connects me" more than the reverse does. That's the best I can do to justify it.
Hermaphrodites: This one's place on this list is a complicated story. Way back when I first started looking into furry erotica, one of the first artists I found was Doug Winger; I found his works strange, but enticing at the same time. For reasons outlined under the next fetish, herms were never more than an idle curiosity to me for a long time. And then Fenoxo added Urta to his game and, well, I found her sincerely attractive because she defied a LOT of the elements that had kept me from embracing herms. As more herms were added to CoC, all of them defying in their own way the things about herm erotica I didn't like, I became more and more intrigued, until ultimately I embraced them as one of my fetishes. Truth be told, there are times I wonder/fear if maybe I haven't become a bit too attached to the fetish.
Herm/Male: Given one of my oldest fetishes is male/female, it should be natural that developing an attraction to herms meant an interest in herms fucking and being fucked by males, right? The problem is, this same interest ultimately kept me from embracing my liking for herms because, well... to put it bluntly, a lot of the herm/male stuff I found, I didn't like. It become repetitive, nay, monotonous in just how much they adhered to the same basic cliches and tropes - futas who were abusive assholes in the name of domination, humiliation and (sometimes literal) emasculation heaped upon the men, and totally one-sided sex-scenes that revolved exclusively around the herm penetrating. It was bad dom/sub yaoi with the seme having tits. CoC changed that for me, and browsing on FurAffinity proved to me that herm/male erotica didn't have to be the offputting experience I'd been led to believe. To try and clear things up, I have no problems with herm/male stuff that involves the guy catching - part of the point is to have him take it up the ass, jerk her off, suck her, whatever. The thing that bothers me is where, as implied earlier, the guy is the only one who ever catches; part of the appeal of herms, to me, is that they have both sets of parts, so I don't "take" to erotica that focuses solely on the herm's cock.
Male Human/Herm Xenos: The natural crossover, given the above discussed fetishes I have. I do wonder/fear if maybe I'm not getting too caught on this one as well...
Pregnancy: I think this fetish of mine may actually outdate my xenos fetish, and I don't really know why I have it. All I know is that something about the curves of a belly filled with life is enticing and erotic to me. As an aside... I wouldn't call unbirth a major fetish, but it has its charms, so long as it stays away from the vorish elements. As for male pregnancy... generally, it tends to not do anything for me, given its connections to m/m erotica. When it's hetero-leaning, with the "father" being a herm or a woman, though, then it can be kind of interesting.
Strong Women: I don't mean I have a muscle fetish, just to get that out of the way. As a matter of fact, most muscle art, irregardless of gender, tends to be a turn off. What I mean is that the type of women (females or herms) I like best are capable, brave, self-reliant types, if that makes any sense. Tomboys (or outright ladettes) aren't bad, either. Not a fetish, as such, but perhaps related to that is a weird interest in women belching, and I don't know why that interests me.
Size Difference: Probably relating to my fondness for strong women, I find it arousing when the female/herm of a couple is larger than a male. However, this doesn't extend to macro scale; over single-digit meters in height, and things are just too big for me to find interesting. The mind just boggles at the sheer scale.
Hyper: As with Size Difference, I kind of like this, but there are pretty strict limits. At a certain point, the breasts or the cock are just too big for me to like - yeah, I'm basically a hyper tits and hyper cock (on herms) guy; balls, ass, fat, muscle, these do nothing for me (or turn me off, depending on how extreme they are).
Cum Inflation: I can't really say where this came from; Doug Winger's works, most likely. As always, there's a certain point where the swollen catcher stops being sexy and just starts being ridiculous, though.
Romance/WAFF: I have to thank CoC for helping me realise this. I don't need erotica to be between mated couples or whatever, I just find the sex extra enjoyable when it's between two or more people who genuinely like/love, respect and care for each other.
The Indifferents
While there's a lot of fetishes out there that I just ignore, these are the ones I'm particularly indifferent to. I don't hate them or find them a turn off, they just don't do anything for me, you know?
Homoerotica and Transerotica: First up, let me be clear. I do NOT have a problem with real-life homosexuals or transsexuals. My first philosophy is this: love is love, no matter the genders of the individuals involved. Gay, straight, bi, pan, whatever, it's not harming anyone to be attracted to your own sex or both sexes, and it is an inherent right to love. My second philosophy is this: a person has an inherent right to be comfortable in their own skin. If they are not, then they have an equally inherent right to change their skin until they are comfortable. I am not a bigot. I have no problems with a man sexually desiring other men, or a woman who was born with male biology, or anything like that. I simply don't find erotica based on two individuals of the same sex having sex to be arousing. Similarly, most erotica based on transsexuals relies on some inherent trait of being in-between the gender line to work, which, again, doesn't really do anything for me.
Shemales: I just... don't really see the point. I get that some see them as a form of transerotica, or as meshing closer to their own self-image/personal tastes, but to me, they tend to just come off as a poor man's herm. The whole "realism" angle especially doesn't work for me because of the fact I've seen things like "shemale with cum so potent that even getting it on his skin will leave a guy pregnant with triplets".
The Dislikes
To put it quite simply, the basic test of whether or not I actively dislike a fetish is simple:
Is it gruesome or inherently gross? Then it's a turn off.
Does it involve one party being an utter unlikeable asshole to the other? Again, it's a turn off.
This, needless to say, does not endear me towards humiliation, non-consensual, BDSM and a lot of the "grittier" fetishes. I think one of my the fetishes I absolutely recoil from is probably vore. I'm not going to go into too many details, lest I offend people, but basically it's a combination of the designated hero protagonist syndrome and the high octane sadism flavor.
Well, that's a lot of pointless rambling. I can only hope folks will forgive me for babbling like this.

First Time Posting Thoughts
Posted 12 years agoI've had this account here for, what, three years now? And I figured I've probably been the quiet lurker long enough. Not having anything particular to say, I decided it couldn't hurt to just do a bit of rambling.
I didn't formally sign up to FA until 2010, but I've been interested in furries, scalies and monster-girls for longer than that. As my profile notes, it was mainly my connection to Fenoxo and his Corruption of Champions that goaded me to coming here - Indeed, I probably wouldn't have the courage to post this journal here if it wasn't for the submissions I've made to CoC
In fact, on reflection, I think I probably owe a lot to Corruption of Champions for helping me define my own erotica interests and "persona", although what that is is probably content for another journal post.
So... yeah, I guess, I'm just finally biting the bullet and saying hello after sneaking around for so long. Nice to meet you all.
