Website for my comic strips
General | Posted 12 years agoAbout a month ago, after years of spare time work, i uploaded the web site I've been building for my comic strips. I've taken this long to say anything because I built it by hand, from raw HTML 2.0. The rest of the world is on HTML 5, and my site is a mess when viewed through Internet Explorer, which is still used by most people.
Here is the URL, anyway, in case anyone wants to take a look.
http://www.pizzafromscratch.net
My first 162 comics are uploaded, with comments. I hope you give it a look and enjoy what you see. Whether you enjoy it or not, I hope you leave feedback, through the site email address, with as much detail as you can. It's the only way I'll get better.

What? Is this thing on?
General | Posted 15 years agoGive thanks for a working <Backspace> key. For some reason, I can't type today.
I've been cartooning for the Virginia Commonwealth University student newspaper, the Commonwealth Times, for five years. That's possibly longer than any other cartoonist they've had. They said I was also their best, but I know I lack all but the barest formal training.
My few attempts at working with color were feeble, and I still don't know how to
colorize with The Gimp (I'm too poor for Photo Shop.). I hope you like these few samples.
I am building pages for an eventual web site for my strips, so if you want to see more, there will some day be more to see on the web.
I'm including my brain-hurting parody of the Geiger Aliens because Genesis Whitmore said one of her favorite movies is "Dark City." I've also seen it and enjoyed it. When I drew the floating round waffle,
[Alert to possible movie spoiler!]
it reminded me of ... well, something. I don't want to spoil the movie for anyone.
