Once again, my employer (AAA) is hiring! This time, all 5 call centers (Grand Rapids, MI, Dearborn MI, Nashville TN, Omaha NE, and heathrow FL) are hiring for emergency roadside service customer advocates. It is a call center and you do need to be decent with google maps and computers, as well as the ability to be polite when others are treating you like shit :)

Grand Rapids starts class on July 18, from 12noon to 8:30pm. Starting rate is $12.60/hour.

Dearborn starts class on August 1, 12-8:30p. Starting rate is $13/hour.

Heathrow starts class July 18 from 10a-6:30p. Starting rate is $12/hour.

Omaha starts class July 18 from 12-8:30p. Starting rate is $13/hour.

Nashville starts class July 18 from 12-8:30p. Starting rate is $13/hour.

I know the Grand Rapids call center is trans friendly. Both full and part time employees get medical and dental health benefits, full time also gets vision. There is also a 401k, a free classic aaa membership, ability to move up in the company (almost everyone starts as a call advocate), and tons of other benefits.

We take emergency roadside service calls for MI, FL, GA, TN, MN, IA, NE, ND, WI, northern IL, northern IN, and Puerto Rico. Bilingual for Spanish is a bonus, let me know (if you are interested) if you are bilingual. We also are trained to do membership - start new ones, renew, add someone, upgrade someone, etc.

No knowledge of cars is necessary - I have had co-workers set up calls for a Chrysler ram 1500. (It's a Dodge Ram)

Fine print: if I refer you and you stay a minimum of 90 days (after 90 days you are eligible for raises) I get a bonus of $500 (which is taxed). So this weekend was a HELL of a lot of fun (furry art prize meet up, 2 day thing) and i'ts got me thinking....if i can switch days with people at new!job to get the dates for glfc off, i'll probably attend.

So i've been trying to grow my knitting repretoire and things i can make, and in doing so, I have quite a bit of things for sale. So I made a facebook page, and I'd be delighted if you'd take a look and a 'like'.

I have also been acquiring a LOT of yarn (my mom bought out an estate sale, for between .25 and .50 a skein (bundle) of yarn) and so in a few weeks I'm headed over to her place to look to see what of her stuff I can use - I've already received one box with blues, browns, some yellows, some purples, and oranges in it. Working on finding more places in my room to store yarn as well.

Learning difficult-ish types of knitting, proper knitting, blocking, etc so that i can have my pieces be the best quality they can be.

Made a seat-belt cover as well, that could have patterns on it (this one is rainbow, its for my sister), it is almost complete - will upload pics once complete (need the zipper to come in the mail). Took me 2.5 hours to knit in the car, not bad for learning a new edging as well.

Still open for commissions of scarves - be it fursona, your favorite colors, or something else - note me, we'll work it out. I can do hats as well, but they're not my strong point. Have a few other fursona related knit items up my sleeves that i'm working on making - we'll see if they're realistic thing to make for others or not, however. Using my fursona as a thing to base it off of. So happy My sona is only a few colors, however.

The yarn I use is 100% acrylic (can use other if you're allergic), and once it is finished, it will not stretch, you can wash it and dry it, and theres no problems.
