Apologies for my brief disappearance
Posted 2 years agoThe truth is, I was working on an emergency commission to earn some cash to treat my sick dog, and I was about to finish it when...
He suddenly passed away on last Friday, 07/07/2023, on his little bed.
Since then I've been trying to pick my life back up. I loved him, he was my best friend and I still can't believe he's gone. When I look out the door,
I expect to see him walking around the corner like nothing happened, and look at me with his big bright brown eyes before walking over and pushing his snout under my arm.
But he never does.
I've cried enough to fill a river and dry my tears, but I'm still not at peace with his passing. At least, not just yet. I'm not ready, but I'm working my way there.

Future idea for a possible comic
Posted 2 years agoI have been thinking of partnering with an artist, to make a comic based on my Zootopia story and then continue it. It's obvious that I didn't... continue it, but I had to put that entire project on hiatus so I could focus on my commissions and sharpening my writing skills.
Nowadays, I've been thinking about not only continuing it, but creating a comic out of it. There is still much to do, however, and finding someone to help me give shape to this future idea is a secondary priority, while remaking those first three parts of the story are top priority.
If anyone wants to make an offer, well, I'm open to it, and maybe we could sort things out before I begin.

Posted 3 years agoI'm going to open to you: I'm not okay.
Honestly that's the main reason why my work output has been so slow. Last year and this year have eroded my mental health to a degree that it makes me amazed that I managed to survive this long. It brought back my chronic depression which I thought had been cured years ago.
On the first half of last year alone, my grandpa, my uncle grandpa, and my uncle grandma died one after the other. I could not bear to go to their funerals, I couldn't grasp it. I still can't. My parents divorced, and I've been dealing with their cultist chicanery for my whole life, and only about recently that I got away from their influence.
And from then to now I have been sinking into a limbo of waking up, eating and spending my entire day in front of a screen, trying to build myself the diligence to write. Rinse and repeat for almost three years of isolation, seeing almost no one but my dad most of time, and only going out at night for my college classes. Even writing, watching movies, and gaming became menial for a while.
All my friends are online now. I haven't seen my real life friends in quite a while.
A little devil came and sat on my shoulder, and whispered to me about how evil I was, how much of an awful person I am. This all came to in the early half of this month. There was not one day when I didn't have dark thoughts about ending things, and I spiraled into a deep state of depression on a daily basis, having fits with my friends, blaming myself for things I had no control of or things that were not true at all.
A friend then tossed the metaphorical bucket of cold water on my face. He almost got me banned off a server because of a suicidal post. That made me realized that I had to get a grip, and try to better myself.
Truth is, just before that, I started a free "treatment" online. I can't afford psychiatric treatment, so I had to consult someone online to help. It's not much different than trying to escape Hel by climbing the string of a spider, but it's all I have at the moment.
But regardless, I'm trying to get myself out of this hole so I can weave more stories for everyone. Not just for you guys, but for myself too. There's nothing more heartwarming than getting compliments for my writing, and even though I don't reply much, know that your comments make my day a bit better.

Don't send me nasty stuff
Posted 3 years agoI know common decency and sense may seem like an alien concept for certain individuals, but don't send me nasty shit on my notes. Don't leave shouts on my page linking to weird shit you're into. If you're into scat or other nasty stuff you can enjoy it by yourself, but don't fucking try to shove it on my face or I'll report you, you weirdo.
A Small Update: She-Hulk and OCs based on She-Hulk
Posted 3 years agoAs the title says, this regards the character She-Hulk and OCs inspired or based on her and her powers.
After I finish a particularly long commission I've been working on for the last six to eight months, I will no longer do any commissions involving She-Hulk or OCs inspired or based on her.
Why am I doing this? Frankly, working on this particular commission has drained me in inspiration and patience, on top of straining my creativity and pushing back several other commissions. I don't like She-Hulk. I don't find her or her archetype interesting, and I find myself running into corners whenever I try to write something with her or similar characters. It's not particularly interesting to me, and the way her powers are used is repetitive and rather grating to write. There's only so much I can do when I have so little to work with.
Henceforth, I will no longer write stories involving She-Hulk archetypes. We can maybe negotiate a commission if there's something that breaks the mold. However, if your character turns green and muscular with anger, or if you want to commission a story involving She-Hulk herself, I will firmly say no.

The "Get Out of Dodge" Plan
Posted 4 years agoSo, I may or may not have mentioned this before, but I'm planning to get out of my country and emancipate from my family. I don't want to go too much into the details, but basically I've been stuck with a cult of New Age weirdos who drink literal hallucinogenic poison to reach "enlightenment", so I want out of it, but my parents aren't aware of it.
And thus, I'm going to start a personal fund. The plan is to buy the essentials to move out: a passport, external hard drives to carry my archives, clothes, suitcase, new pair of glasses because mine are busted (I'm currently using duct tape and a popsicle stick to keep it together), and a new smartphone. Finally, new computer pieces, or a new computer altogether.
On top of that, I need money. Lots of it. Which is why I'm going to keep commissions open for the time being (though it was kind of obvious I wasn't closing them any time soon). I'm also going to promote my Patreon page again (https://www.patreon.com/ComteUlrich) , if you want to either donate or become a mecenas.
The reason I need so much money to begin with is because my country's currency, the real, is currently... very undervalued. As an example, I tried to donate to a friend, and 100 reais barely amounted to 18 dollars alone.
I don't know the exact quantity I need to move out, but if I were to guess it would be... around 5k reais or more. To get there, it's going to be rough, between buying food for myself (because my diet is very poor thanks to my parents' egregious vegan diet), and the other items I've mentioned before.
But! I'm determined to get there. I just want a better life away from this crazy family. Wish me luck.

Posted 5 years agoYes, for the first time since I started writing here, I am (finally) opening for commissions.
Here are the details:
-The minimum price will be 25$ for every 1,000 words.
-Payment shall be done through PayPal.
-Commission details shall be accepted through notes here on FA. DO NOT send any commission details through PayPal. I don't want my account to be locked.
First and foremost, I'm fine with writing stories with male and female characters. There are no limitations as for franchises or OCs, as long as the characters in question are not overly cartoony (unless you have a reference of said cartoony characters drawn in a different style), or from live action movies/series. Real life people are strictly forbidden.
