Is the Pride March counterproductive? (phylisophic)
General | Posted a year agoI fully support what the pride parades and marches and month as meant to represent on their surface. And yet I have always been hung up on the idea: How do you celebrate normalcy with extremes?
Many like to dress up (or down) for pride parade. I won't ever stand in their way. The pageantry that tends to accompany them often single out designs and/or concepts in an artistic celebration. And I love artistic celebration. At the same time, such celebrations are traditionally done to celebrate uniqueness's: Special days, groups, events, victors and so on.
How does celebrating such uniqueness's encourage a sense of oneness and/or community? I would love to see a massive dance number or other highly organized activity, echo compatibility and teamwork though the event. Instead there seems to be a focus on standing out as much as possible. shine.
That flair and loud presence is a wonderful counter to the repression many have faced. It lets one affirm their value as a unique being. Drag shows and contests are wonderful ways to involve the community in that voicing of value. But how does that act of standing out, signal togetherness?
Would anyone like to explain or debate their reasoning? I'm curious what flaws you see and perspectives you have to share. :)

I Poof Now
General | Posted 2 years agoWelp, KKK kicked me out of my home and Police are turning a blind eye. I was stupid to think I could open my mouth as the only non-white in a small Missouri town.
Gonna go dark for a few weeks well I throw everything in a storage locker and convert my hatchback into a micro camper. I'm done giving up. So I'll go minimalist instead. Romaine Journalist life awaits. :3
That said, likely not back till I get a solar power grid set up on the roof. And have finances enough to buy a basic laptop thereafter.
If you are interested in the backstory I've documented so far, you can find it here: https://twitter.com/IffyFromOver
Please: No pity replies.
This is just an update. Life is hard but I am done submitting tot he victim roll. I've searched my soul and my future lay in philosophical journalism. I will collect the information. Compile the documents. Submit the appeals. Reestablish contact with the higher authorities about the progress of events.
I have been beaten down. But what person ready to fight, gives up because of a few bruises? :)
I don't have to punch back to do what I believe in. ^^

Stunt Girls Time!
General | Posted 2 years agoI've been working on this plan for 7 years and it's finally come to a head. I am writing up the cult/military programing methods of the local loony bin. They need to be taken down. And I think I was raised by members of their cult. I'm doing a tell all book and posting the rough-draft as I go on Twitter.
I could use some support. I have committed to absolute humility (tell the worst of me) and absolute anonymity (no names). And I've been facing this alone for a very long time. Any support and encouragement would be appreciated. :)
