I'm Open, but There's Been Some Changes
General | Posted a year agoSo I have gone and renovated everything, and as you can see, I have moved a lot to my Scraps. Don't panic! If something has not been deleted, it will likely come back later. The problem is, I don't have the files for my adopts anymore, and they will have to be redrawn. Some of the YCHs need to be updated as well. Feel free to look into whatever I have open for now.
My prices have gone up, as I as working for beans. And well, since it's been about a decade, it's still technically beans. But I do put a lot of care into my work, and I have bills to pay.
Lastly, there were some finished pieces with my ex's sona that I have not deleted, but moved to Scraps as well, so I don't have to look at them. I'm sorry to the other people whose sonas were in those pieces.

1. First come, first serve. I honor claims by the timestamp, whether it’s in a comment or a note.
2. Payment is through PayPal only, please. I will send you an invoice for the character. You have 72 hours to pay. If you cannot pay within that time frame, the character opens up for someone else. If you need to pay on a specific date, please negotiate that with me, but I will not hold an adopt for more than two weeks.
3. There is currently no limit on how many adopts you can scoop up at once. However, reference sheets or extras take up commission slots, which I have limited across all sites to between 3 and 5 at any given time, to avoid burnout. If you adopt more than two at a time but want ref sheets or comms of them, you must be willing to wait.
4. Unless otherwise stated, you may change what you like about the character to make them more your own! I prefer that the overall design is preserved, because I really try to be creative with these, but it's totally fine to OC-ify them as you need them. Gender, hairstyles, markings, tattoos, piercings, outfits, etc. are all encouraged to be tweaked.
5. Adopts are Pay-What-You want! For the base price, you will get the original art for the character, usually with a ref sheet of their back and important features. I can remake the ref with any tweaks you might want off the bat for an additional fee, and/or include a NSFW version. You may also request a commission of your new character as well. Prices for each of these will be stated in the listing.
6. If an adopt has ON HOLD next to the name, I'm either working something out with the buyer or awaiting payment. There is a small chance the adopt may go back up for sale but do not inquire about it until it's been changed back to OPEN.
7. If you want a character completely made from scratch, I can do that for you as long as I have a commission slot open. 100% custom characters start at $30 and may go up depending on complexity. They can usually be any rating, and come with a basic ref sheet. If you like a theme of adopts I’ve made, but don’t exactly like how they’re done, you can use that as a base as well! My egg adopts work roughly the same way.

4. YCHs are pay what you want! You can get it with flat colors or shaded. They automatically come with a minimal background, or whatever was already in the drawing, but you're allowed to ask for small edits to the layout. If it starts getting too complex, I may charge extra.
5. I am no longer holding out for multiple people to buy a slot in a multi-character YCH, unless otherwise stated. You can buy the whole thing and put whatever characters you'd like in it.
6. If a YCH has ON HOLD in the title or next to a slot, I am working something out with a buyer or I am awaiting payment. There may be a small possibility that one or more slots may go back up for sale, but please refrain from asking until it’s removed or changed. If it has CLOSED or SOLD in the title or next to a name, that’s it. Do not inquire about it further because the person paid for it and the process has started. If a piece gets enough interest, I might put it up for sale a second time, but most likely, if I do it again, it will be different.
7. Some solo poses have more than one slot! This means more than one person can purchase the YCH in whatever style they want. I will offer the pose until it has been bought the number of times I have indicated, and then the pose will be retired to the scraps folder.
Adopts and YCHs alike are subject to my ToS and Content Guidelines. An adopt or YCH which falls into my Iffy or Won't category may be experimental/one-off, and I request you ask about any tweaks you want before purchasing, to make sure I can do it!

Trying to come back
General | Posted a year agoI want to sincerely apologize for anyone I've left hanging, or not able to answer. I've had a lot of really messed up things happen over the years and I only broke my art block a couple years ago. This account is still somewhat closed as I need to clean out some things and update others. Never again will I take on stupidly ambitious projects outside my abilities to deliver. I didn't do it on purpose in the first place.
I will also be updating my ToS before offering adopts and YCHs. You can still view my main account,

Another Quick Update
General | Posted 8 years agoI organized everything into folders so it's MUCH easier to see what I currently have for sale. I also got rid of the pokepony and candy tiger adopts as I could tell they weren't ever going to sell.

General | Posted 8 years agoThis account is now open for preposes and adopts once again! I'm in a dire straights and can really use the work. The only thing I can't sell currently is adopts I already created and fleshed out because I don't have the base art for them just yet. I have to salvage files off an old computer. I can, however, sell all kinds of egg adopts. Please give me some work! :D
LIFE UPDATE 3/15

Well, I turn 28 in a few days, and I'm still stuck. At least I've left the house, and I'm reeeeal close to my
boorat. The problem is, I can't find a job to get housing, and the place I'm staying is getting reeeeal close to telling me I need to go. I can't even have my laptop here with me to do art, even for what little I was bringing in. I'm stuck. I'm frustrated, BooRat's frustrated, but we're here, we're still very much in love, the kids are doing great, and I have a crapton of sketches I can't wait to scan in and probably never finish. :'3 Once I'm back in a place I have access to wifi (and semi-secure storage for my laptop), I'm gonna finish what I've got and open up for more commissions. I'm looking more at selling sketches, adopts and such to get them done quickly, but I won't turn anyone down. The good news is that I've gotten even better since before, and slightly faster, at least with some things. I officially haven't done anything digitally in almost 2 months, so idk if it'll be slow picking up or not.
I really miss being here and doing what I do. I hope someday I can get past everything that's keeping me from my art, or constantly shoving me into states of art block. Thanks to everyone sticking by despite my hiatus. I hope to bring more art to you guys within the next month!

LIFE UPDATE 1/15
General | Posted 11 years agoSo I've been AWOL, I know. I've had severe art block due to battling depression, and the newest crisis at home.
Everyone's being kicked out, due to my mom being with a manipulative bastard, and my grandmother's failing health. This means I am having to fly on a wing and a prayer and our fate is up in the air right now.
I DID manage to get the crisis center near boorat to take us in, but I have to call the day I wanna leave. Which means I'm not waiting longer than I have to. I'm not allowed to bring anything that can be stolen or I risk losing it. This means I may fall further behind on art than ever before and I am sooooooo sorry. >_< But I absolutely have to bring my laptops and tablet and info... cuz i dunno if I'll be able to come back for it. I really hate all of this, but que sera sera.
Perhaps my life can really start now.

Getting things ready

I'm putting more work into my style and coloring, so even existing preposes or custom adopts that haven't been bought are going to have to go up slightly. I'm also going to only have one shading style now, at least for a while. Adopts that are already drawn are probably going to stay the same.

General Rules for Adopts, Preposes, and Auctions

1. First come, first serve. I honor claims by the timestamp, whether it’s in a comment or a note.
2. Payment is through PayPal only, please. DO NOT mention you are from FA or are a fur when placing your payment, as PayPal has flagged FA as a porn site, regardless of the nature of the transaction. You have 72 hours to pay. If you cannot pay within that time frame, the character opens up for someone else.
3. For now, there will be no limit on how many adopts can be bought at once, as my adopt sheets vary greatly in size.
4. Unless otherwise stated, you maintain the right to change the gender of any adopt, and cutie marks on ponies. You can also make up anything like clothing and hairstyle for them. Everything else, however, I would more or less like to stay the same, or it wouldn’t really justify the uniqueness of the character anymore.
5. Adopts are Pay-What-You want! For the base price, you will get the original art for the character. Add $8 and you’ll get a ref with a back view, eye and special markings close up, and basic info! And if you request a commission of the character with your purchase, you’ll get 10% off the commission! Some kinds of adopts have their own bundles, and that will be mentioned in their description.
6. If you want a character completely made from scratch, I can do that for you as long as I have a commission slot open. 100% custom characters start at $15 and may go up depending on complexity. They can usually be any rating, and come with a basic ref sheet. If you like a theme of adopts I’ve made, but don’t exactly like how they’re done, you can use that as a base as well!

ToS tiem

June Update
General | Posted 11 years agoAlright, I've made some decisions on what I'll be doing.
I will open commissions again AFTER I've finished with school, and possibly not until after public school starts. I am again so far behind it's not funny, and commissions would be impossible. I will only be opening up 3 slots until I can get going again. Phoenix will have school around that time as well, and I need to get him ready. I will also have to seek out work, so commissions I do take may be slow (as usual). In a few years, I hope to have things more stable and go to some sort of art school, in hopes of getting the job I really want. But that's a little ways down the line and a pipe dream at best right now.
Also, my tablet is not working, and I'm not sure if it's the cord or the tablet itself, so I'll have to pull out my old one (which doesn't like to stay connected) while I try to replace what's acting up. For now my computer's ok, but I will have to get a replacement soon, especially if it starts crashing again. I don't know how I'm gonna do that, but I've been thinking of more adopts and preposes as well as possibly donation-driven comics.
I will be raising prices on custom adopts, extras for adopts (such as ref sheets), and preposes by a little. I may be raising certain commission prices (though this one is not absolute). This is to compensate for the extra effort I'm putting into the drawings these days. I'm aiming to offer a better product than in the past. I'm going to write an actual ToS. I'm going to stream whenever possible, but you might hear my family cursing or arguing in the background, so I sure hope that's ok. X3

Hey guys. I'm pretty much what you'd consider "back". I've gone through my backlog, I've also posted a couple of things on my main account. I'm working up to getting back to the things that I owe people, and after that I'll open for commissions again. I may go all the way down to 3 slots at a time to reduce stress. I'm not giving a date when I'll be opening anytime soon because I don't know if I can realistically live up to it. But you will all know for sure when I post the list of things I have open in a journal.
Yes, stress, lovely stress. I've handled it so poorly lately that when I feel anxious, I just withdraw into myself and don't want to talk to anyone. Sometimes I struggle just to talk to
vixykins, but she always makes me feel better. I've only now been able to get finished works done (but I do have 20-50 more sketches that'll probably be done around the first of never).
I'll be moving soon, and I have no idea how hard they'll be pushing me to work before I get my "disabilities" fixed. It's a program that helps single moms in need. The kiddos will be looked after, which will help me take care of bisnez. But that also means I have many things to be responsible for, so that's why I may be lowering commission slots down. It'll be more manageable anyway.
My personal projects will include my WoW fanfiction and some comics with them in it. I have so much inspiration from WoW, and I have some months before I hopefully return for the expansion coming out. :) HOPEFULLY I will finally be posting refs of my characters. I think I finally have a handle on Pewter, and can hopefully get a ref of her and the boys up sometime soon.
Also streaming! Vix showed me another streaming option, and whenever there's quiet and no other oblications, I'll start streaming stuff! I'm thinking of offering stream sketches if I can get fast enough, but I have to work on things a bit, first.
Lastly, I have to apologize to anyone I still owe art, or felt they haven't been treated with great courtesy. It was not my intention to treat you so roughly. It wasn't you, it was the stress. I react very negatively to stress, but I will be getting a psych eval soon, and will hopefully get on the road to helping me focus and deal better with everything. I'm also still learning how to interact with people, as I am a giant social boob and have no people skills. Please bear with me. And don't forget, I love and appreciate all of you!

I also might be about to lose my grandmother, as well as sense of security because idk what will happen. I don't see getting a job in the near future, and I am fucked up the ass with a cactus at this point, and all the way around. Ok I'm being raped by multiple cacti. I'm getting behind for pretty much the same reasons as always, so I haven't got the updated list for you yet. Just browse my Gallery and Scraps to find what's open or not. To make things a bit easier, I've deleted all sold and completed prepose sketches from scraps. WIPs are still there, however. Every six months I'll do this.
I'll try to reorganize and post the updated product list after I finally complete this current commission. Thank you! And if you all have questions, just send me a note!

Pewter's December Sale and News!
General | Posted 12 years agoWell, we're at the close of another year, and it's time to celebrate! My gift to all of you who have watched and supported me is a sale! This month only, ANY item purchased off this account is eligible for a 10% discount! That's right! All icons, adopts, and even preposes, even what is created this month is all going to get you a 10% discount! Here's a couple of details to help you understand just how it works:
*Prices are not going to be adjusted until an item is claimed, meaning the price you see is going to be the full price. I'll calculate your discount after you've made your claim and quote you the price you need to pay or send you an invoice (I need to practice with those anyway). Even new items that show up this month will be displayed at full price. This is only because it'll be difficult to adjust all the prices I have up and then remember to put them back if they don't get sold.
*The discount applies to each separate item, unless it's a bundle. I.E.: You don't get 10% off each slot in a prepose, you get 10% off the entire prepose (if you only buy one pose in a picture, the discounr still applies, and you can do this for multiple pictures). If you buy an adopt and order a ref and pin-up to go with it, you don't get 10% of each thing, you get 10% off the entire purchase. HOWEVER, if you buy a slot in a prepose, an icon, and an adopt bundle, you do get 10% each the prepose, icon, and adopt bundle, because those are considered separate items. :)

*Unless otherwise stated, such as a holiday or event, you are more than welcome to upload your new art just as soon as I have posted it to my own gallery! In fact, you don’t have to restrain it to FA, either! Please feel free add it to any other gallery or blog you may have. Just make sure it follows the ToS and AUP of each website you are uploading to (i.e. No yiff on dA, put appropriate mature filters on your content if it requires that, etc.).
*Please always make sure you have credited me in the drawing. Currently, I only have accounts on deviantArt and Fur Affinity, so putting a icon with my username at the end of your description is the best way to give me credit there. I’m PewterKat on both sites (or you can use PewtersAdoptables if you got a prepose or adopt). On other sites you can say “PewterKat on dA/FA”.
*Feel free to turn your artwork into an icon or profile ID if the section of work is appropriate for it. If you have a prepose with someone else’s character, please make sure you only reference your character (other person’s character(s) should not be showing).
The finished product that I send to you will be a large one. It will be a 300dpi BMP. I do this because BMPs hold their quality much better than other simple formats. In order to post to most sites, you will have to take it into MS Paint (or other art program, if you have it) and save your piece as a JPG or PNG.
IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN SENT THE BMP VERSION OF THE WORK (I.E. YOU DID NOT COMMISSION ME) OR OTHERWISE BEEN GIVEN PERMISSION, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO REUPLOAD MY WORK, IN WHOLE OR IN PART, FOR ANY REASON.
If you come across my work in someone’s gallery without credit to me, or you did not give them permission to reupload your commission, do not rain hell down upon them. Come ask me first, and if it’s a problem, you and I can both report them to the staff of whatever site it’s on.

General Rules of the Adoptables:
These general rules apply for all adoptable characters, unless otherwise stated in their description.
*All of my adoptables are Pay What You Want! When you buy the adopt for the base price, you'll get the character as is (with the watermark removed, of course). If you throw in $5 extra, I'll draw you a ref sheet. For $15 extra, I'll do a drawing of your character plus the ref sheet. Many adopts have a price for a bundle that's a bit less than the adopt, ref sheet, and commission combined.
*Payments through PayPal only, please. Once you claim your adopt, I'll note you my e-mail address you can use for payment. Please pay within 24 hours. I understand that everyone has different times they can use the internet, but I cannot keep something on hold forever. Please don't place an order if you don't have the money ready. If it is not paid for within 24 hours, it will go back up for sale.
*First come, first serve. If you see someone further up in the comments has claimed a character, and I haven't put them on the list yet, please don't claim the same character further down on the page. That's just silly, and will be ignored. For clarification, if someone has been denied the character for whatever reason, I'll either comment such or hide their comment.
*If "CLOSED" is in the title of any of the adoptable pages, they are all sold or unavailable. No ands, ifs, or buts, because the rights to the character were given away. If I get enough requests, I might do a similar one, but it won't be the same.
Customs:
As long as I've got a commission slot open (here: http://pewterkat.deviantart.com/jou.....Info-269543203 ), feel free to ask for a custom adopt. Any kind of adopt posted here is up for customization, unless specifically stated. Pick an adopt, theme or color scheme, gender, and details. You can be as specific as you want, or leave it up to my imagination. All custom adopts start at $10, and can (almost always) be G-XXX. I can throw in a free outfit for your character if you'd like. If it gets really elaborate, or you'd like multiple outfits or accessories, I will have to raise the price accordingly. NOTE: I'm not very good with clothes, so ask for them at your own risk. XD

*Unless it is an auction, all of the characters in a prepose have a predetermined price. This price is not negotiable. If you don't have enough, please don't claim it because you are wasting my time and the time of others who might like to be a part of it.
*Unless it is said otherwise in the description, the finished product will always be outlined in black and soft-shaded.
*Payments through PayPal only, please. If you show interest in a slot, you have 24 hours to pay for it before I have to open it back up to make it available for someone else.
*First come, first serve. If someone does not pay for their slot, and you have expressed an interest in it, I will go down the list until someone buys it.
*If a Prepose has CLOSED in the title, it is closed. No ands, ifs, or buts. If people have a great interest in it, I might repost AFTER I have fully completed the original, but most likely, I will do something similar, and not exact. It's not to be stingy, just to prevent a burnout. If a Prepose has ON HOLD in the title, I am working out something with one of the buyers. It is not officially closed, but don't get your hopes up, because more than likely I'm just waiting on their payment.
*If it takes more than two days to complete when I am actively working on it (i.e. it's not too far down my commissions list and it's in queue), you may request a WIP peek on the work I have so far UP TO THE COLORING STAGE ONLY. Once I lay down the flat colors, it usually doesn't take long to finish. Alternatively, I will often post the inks of the piece as a WIP once I get there if I feel I'm taking too long.
Auction Policies and why I do them the way I do
*Bids start lower than I want to sell the thing being auctioned for, be it a prepose or an adopt. I do this to make a deal for people who might not be able to afford the more expensive art, but are still interested. Typically, I like to sell preposes at at least the cel shaded level, and adopts with at least a simple ref and an outfit. I throw in extras as incentive for bidding higher, not because I try to be greedy, but because I need the money, and the extras are a promise of more things from me if you do want to spend more money. That's also why the autobuy prices exist. I realize that they will most likely not ever be reached, but I will try to accommodate the bidder in case that situation ever arises (and be exceedingly grateful! <3).
*Reminders for a week-long auction will be sent out 5 days, 3 days, 1 day, and 1 hour before the end of the auction, or 5 days, 2 days, and 1 hour before if the slots have already been bid on. They will be up for part of the day (longer if I don't log back into this account) and taken down later. This is not done to disrespect those who have already bid, but to increase exposure. It's how I get quite a few people in here, and whether they bid or not doesn't matter much to me. :) I know I spammed a lot with the first auction, and I will try not to do it that badly again.
*If you do bid on one of my auctions or buy a prepose or adopt, you are not required to watch me. However, everyone is required to treat each other with courtesy and respect, whether they're a regular and a watcher or just visiting. I will not tolerate hate and flaming. Even if you are the high bidder, if you cause trouble I will ban you from auctions.
If you have any questions you don't find an answer here for, or if I wasn't clear on something, please don't hesitate to ask. These rules are to protect both parties and I don't like being mean, but if there isn't regulation in place, things can get crazy. :)
