Hilf Mir! Help me!
General | Posted 9 years agoI am uninspired for names of my newest characters for Enchanted Wolf Vineyard. I need a squad of 6 soldiers. I have the following:
LT Angelina M. Taylor (horse),
SSG Timm Matthews (Black & White domestic Cat),
CPL Thomas Gosling: (Elk)
PFC Isabel Ripoll (gazelle - pun intended),
PVT Needs A Name (pick a species of mega fauna found on earth)
PVT Needs A Name (pick a species of mega fauna found on earth)
Y'all would not believe how many of my characters are still without names. Thanks in advanced for any suggestion

Too Good To Be True?
General | Posted 9 years agoAs bad as October was, November was inversely proportionately good.
My grandfather paid for the extended family to meet up in Tennessee for my late great Uncle's rememberance (in lieu of a funeral). We were basically given an all expense paid mini vacation that was much neded. Got to meet up with the man from Virginia who I donated my kidney to 2 years ago as well, he was very excited when he found out I was in the same timezone as him! I did a daily appreciation for my wife to mend our strained marriage. My wife's car had a power transmission warranty that covered the full replacement of the tranny she blew. My insurance paid to have the hole in my home indemnified (to make whole). My modification on my mortgage got approved, and I got a 401k loan to pay off overdue bills. One thing I really got jazzed about was when I snagged a 5 year old refurbished HP EliteBook 2760P touchscreen laptop with stylus for $184.99 from newegg, which is WAAAAY cheaper than paying $1k to $2.5k for a cintiq. Got clip studio paint loaded up and I am making comics!
As good an November was, this is fixating on only the good. I found out everyone on my moms side ot the family has type 2 diabetes, so my temporary diet plan is looking to be the basis for a new lifestyle going forward. I have had less time to work on art while off avoiding wildfires in Tennessee. My father in law's Alzheimer was exaserbated by all of the construction, to the point he was picking fights with everyone. I have no clue how i will be able to make my modification payments if my wife does not get approved for disability. Also, I've adapted to drawing on my phone so much, I am having to relearn drawing digitally on a computer. I just relearned my shortcut commands @.@
All things considered, December looks to be more moderate, and that's fine by me.

October was a Pyrrhic Victory
General | Posted 9 years agoYes, the month is over. Yes, I sucessfully completed Inktober on time every day except day 2 being posted 2 hours into day 3. But at what cost? I've only gotten 4 hours of sleep each night, at best. My great uncle died of renal failure and my wife and kid both got sick with the creeping crude the following week when i was out on bereavement. My relationship with my wife is heavily strained. Both of our vehicles are falling apart, there is a huge gaping hole where my guest bathroom shower use to be, my mother in law has taken up residence in my living room, I have to take defensive driving, and my modification payment on my mortgage bounced causing my loan to go into foreclosure. And my friends have been moving from a 2700 square foot house to a 900 square foot apartment and have needed my help with moving all weekend long.
But this is fixation on only the negative. Insurance covered my auto collision liability. Insurance is covering Actual Cash Value (note: excludes depreciation) cost to fix the hole in my house. My house should be fixed in a couple of weeks. I have reapplied for a modification. I am doing a wife appreciation month in November. My kidney recipient gave me a wonderful present this year for our 2 year anniversary of me donating my kidney. I am getting a 401k loan to help with behind payment bills. My wife has got a (I hope) legitimate claim to file disability. My friends will finally be free from their landlords from hell.
So it doesn't help to look at only the good or only the bad, because then you don't see the bigger picture. Which I hope is "Things may be bad now, but they're going to get better soon."
