Damage Report.
Posted 16 years agoI've got to take the main engines off line there's too much radiation- Woops wrong movie...
So, as you may know I have been removed from the collective. My grandfather can't stand to see anyone enjoying themsrlves so he severed the wires behind the house computer. (after weeks of sayong I could use it whenever I want) After a few days he fixed the phone line (Yes, dial-up still exists) even though I decided I've had it with his mood swings and would ask him for anything no metter how much he tells me I can. Well, it just so happens he tried to use the computer yesterday, but low and behold, the monitter cable was missing. (I was going to buy a new one but said fuck it and forgot it was in my coat pocket) He asked where it was and I told him, minus the explitive, what I just said. Now I'm being blamed for cutting it. He was too dead drunki at the time he couldn't remember what all he cut. At least everyone knows better when he tells people about it. Now I guess he can't get the computer to work anyway. It's probably something simple, but he lost his computer diagnoser. I don't want anything to do with it.
In other news, swine flu is coming into the area, or so I hear, and getting everyone in a tizzy. A lady I work with cussed and complained that she didn't believe any any of that swine flu in the beginning of the year, and now she's complaining and swearing about not having the proper dissinfectant and rubber gloves... ect. I wouldn't be suprised to come to work next week and she'll be wearng a HAZMAT suit.
But on the brighter side, I got my ASA studdy material and a practice chart of Martha's Vinyard to Block Island on the Chesepeake bay. I still need plane tickets though....

Posted 16 years agoSo yeah, Some codfish, I don't want to mention any names (Grandfather) severed the wires behind the computer for reasons I am still trying to acertain. I'm using the computer at my familly's house across the swamp now. This means I will be out of contact with you barnacle heads for an undefined amount of time. I will still be able to write notes and comment on your loverly artwork but AIM is out of the question. This also means that any contests I promised to enter are scuttled. Sorry. Also, you will see a severe lack of my own artwork coming up.

There are some really nice furs out there, and again, I like alot of the artwork.

I honestly don't know how to answer this question. I have often compared personallity with legends of dragons, but to say I am a dragon and this body is a dissapointment is not acurate. I also have a thing for dolphins, but I have never believed myself to be one, just connected to them, like we share a certain bond, as everyone does to the sea.

Help needed for someone other than myself

Ok, I normally don't do this and I don't plan on doing it again but as things will be soon changing around here with the moving and all I have to say something...
So here it goes. About a year ago we found a stray cat. Normally, we'd turn it in to animal control because they breed like crazy if you don't. Well this guy that lives where my mom works claimed he wanted the cat because he was going to move to another facility. He then went on to name the cat. Now time passed and the cat went into heat. So for my sanity I had to fix the cat because they yowl like nuts if you don't and it's not healthy for them either. So he said he had no problem paying us back for the cost. Well, in CA you have to vaccinate the pet before they'll even cut into them. Well since she was also in heat the entire cost was $147 which we didn't have to just "give away". He has been dodging paying us for a long while now and is totally avoiding us even though he claimed he has the money. It's fairly clear he doesn't want the cat at all. It's been a year now. I would love to just give the cat away as I can't handle 7 friggin' cats. I just need to recoup some or most of the $147 so I can just give the cat to a home where she will be loved. It also further makes me sad because that money I could have used to put my 17 year old dog to sleep because she's just miserable with arthritis and she now has to have me lift her up just so she can walk. It's just got me so angry...I hate when people do this to us. You do something in good faith and people bail on you.
Can anyone spare any money? $1 ,$5 etc? I can even do full color commissions like the centaur one here. I don't mind nudity but I'm not good enough for real erotica. Or at the least can you pass the journal around? Heck if you'd like to adopt Snoopy that would be awesome too!

We'll sail out of Redhook, St. Thomas and end up somewhere in the BVI or Spannish Virgin Islands or both. I would like to see the latter most of all I think.

I got a starter solinoid for my birthday. :D
Posted 16 years agoSo thursday was my birthday, I turned 21 and was bombarded with wine cooler jokes from my freinds who know I won't drink. I also had to wait for a tow truck. You see, I went to walmart after work on mondy, but my car didn't come home with me. One thing about parking lots is, though, so many people offer help even if they don't have the resources. A nice lady stopped and offered a jump, but that didn't work. The auto department was closed that late so I just called home and said I was stranded. Well, a few day, dollars and a new battery later, it turns out the the starter solinoid was the problem. My stepdad could fix it, but not in a parking lot. So I called a familiar towing service who has towed more of my family's cars than should be normal. I was afraid I would have to wait all day in the parking lot, but fortunately they just picked up the key. ^_^
In other news, I bought a frame for my boat picture is my scraps, and Zuma's Revenge whcih is Awshum! I guess you have to like puzzle games. But it's got tiki bosses!
I also got some work sweatshirts from the retired lady I replaced at work. I'm wearing one now, as a matter of fact. First sweater of the season. I'm not ready for winter. >.< I also got a water proof hat her husband must have had when he worked outside there in the summer. I aslo got a surprising amount of happy birthdays from the faculty at work. I don't want to toot my own horn or anything, but I guess I'm very highly thought of there. Except for my one coworker who didn't ay a word about it being my birthday, but I laid bets that she wouldn't anyway. ;)(the staff gets a sheet with all the workers in the building's birthdays)
That's all I have to say. :)

Posted 16 years agoI need to break the monotony so I'm opening commissions, trades and requests. :D If you don't have any money, that's fine, I just need something for my mind to do, so it doesn't wander and get lost.
Requests: If you have an idea that you want seen drawn in my style just give me a click. THey will only be drawings and may or may not be colored.
Trades: I can do both scuplture and drawing for trades, but I'm a better scupltor than I am a drawer. If you choose to trade a piece of traditional work for one of my scupltures, would you mind if I asked to have the original sent to me when I send my scuplture to you? ^_^
Commissions: I don't like charging money for my drawings, so that just leaves the sculptures. They are made with Super Sculpey and painted with acrylics. They are rather small; big enough to fit in your pocket. I'm going to charge 15-25 USD for them depending on complexity or such, but they will most likely only be $15. And that will be $5 to ship regardless of destination. Posted 16 years agoThe sky is filled with a deep azure, the forest is filled with the sweet smell of fall, and my heart is filled with sadness. Or at least it had been. But I know the cause. I have once again found my self several points off my intended course. I'v plotted a new rhumb line, the first one being plotted this time last year, and put a few spokes over. I've also sheeted in my sails, for they have been luffing for far too long.
Waht does all this mean? It means I've forgotten why I want to sail in the first place. I'm hoping to take more lessons in the Caribbean some time this winter. I'm also hoping I can take the next few courses together like I did the last three. The next courses are navigation courses and I'm afraid of how well I will do. I understand the theory, but numbers have been known to confuse me. Something as seemingly simple as fuel rate consumption and my brain locks up as if my boat were head to wind. I have to look for little drawings or phrases to help me remember calculations. Like the Distance = speed X Time circle. I was also concerned about my lack of experience with small boats. I did not have the fortune of a nautical childhood. I tried to find a boat over the summer but t o no avail and the chartereing laws on my local lake are ludicrous. Also my introvertedness makes it hard for the instructors to help me achiev my goals. I have to work on that. If there was one other excuse it is because I sort of wanted to take an ocean passage to the caribbean. The final ASA course I was planning to take, if I don't take the catamaran classes. Sort of "I got here myself" kind of feeling. Oh well. :3

Posted 16 years agoFor some reason, a hand full of you seem to like my drawings. Well, it just so happens I need some ideas. I don't think I'm really that good, and I wouldn't like charging anybody for them, so if there is something you would like to sea, just shout, note, comment, IM me or send me a message in a bottle and hope it gets to me. (chances are it won't)
I don't really do anything dirty or adult unless it's cute and sweet and cleanish. I also can't do anything inorganic like meachines or anything. Celestial themes are my specialty though. ^_^
I'm taking a break on commissions and trades at the moment, but if you have an idea for a sculpture I'd like to hear it

Yes, I said before I wasn't planning on casting this pendant, but I've decided this is now a pendant with a purpose. Namely, horse rescue/adoption.
For those of you who don't know about it, much like there's an overpopulation of cats and dogs in the US, there's an overpopulation of horses. They're huge, take a lot of space and money to care for, and in this economy many of them are literally worth more as food than as companions and hard workers.
Horse rescues step in and house, rehabilitate, retrain, and ultimately (hopefully) adopt out a few lucky discarded horses to new homes. After all, it'd kinda suck to be a beloved star athlete for 15+ years, slow down in old age, and get tossed on a standing-room-only bus for a one-way trip to Mexico.
Horses who have it the hardest are the elders and the youngest; both for obvious reasons. So, I'm designating funds from sales of my Nightmare pendant for whatever horse rescue fund needs it at the moment; and this month, it's the Animali Farm. http://www.theanimalifarm.com/
If you don't quite have enough funds to preorder Nightmare, but would still like to chip in a few bucks, donate to them! "so I;m very likely gonna quit my job so i will be working on commissions quite a bit so I'll need help advertising mainly because starting Monday I'll have no more free time to myself.
Monday i start my work term at Mount St. Vincent university i'll be there aug 10 till oct 10 helping them and gaining experience with my field.
now why am I quitting my job and why did i title my journal this way?
well lets say that Couche tard is the WORST company to work for EVER sure you can say others are worse but with Couche Tard they do the bare minamum to avoid labour laws and keeping customers seriously their customer service is piss poor the company lies and cheats its way to the top not careing about their customers or their staff.
one thing they care about is money unless you have a 6 figure offer for them your nothing so heres what i'm saying
If you see couche tard or that Circle K on a store or even an IRVING gas station Avoid it like the plague if you shop at that store your promoting their lies and customer dissatisfaction.
also I'm changeing up my photography commissions a bit since i cant really leave the halifax area due to travel restraints because of work and no car ^^" I will take commissions from people to try and find a photo you would like to buy from my gallery I do take pay pal and money orders and i'll be selling my pictures for $3.00 a copy or buy 10 for $10.00 but the only rule is I wont sell photos of people without permission. "

I still don't really feel comfortable drawing anything for other people, but if you'd lie a sculpture the price would be around 10-25 usd, depending on complexity and amount of characters involved. Posted 16 years agoI was too lazy to do this earlier, but then realized I didn't have to do all ten at once. ^_^
Here are the rules:
1- For each of the first 10 people commenting here I will put their avatar and three pics I like from their gallery on the list
2- If I feature you, you'll have to do the same in your journal, putting me on the first place, completing this way the list with 10 people.
The idea of this is not to get a free feature, it is to spread art around for everyone!!!
