If I get like 5 “yes pls” comments I’ll post more. I do have chapters written that I never published on here for various reasons such as LIFE in general and the fact I don’t get PAID to be creative in any way from it, apparently the Dragonologist Series is still being read? Not really sure. Plus it was being edited but that fell through with COVID. Along with a lot of other life circumstances. Yes, I am well aware it’s been a hot minute. If you want me to go into details of why it stopped, I will but if you just want more DtS then comment.
I’ll give it a month and see who/what responds.
Otherwise WTTE comic work will continue unimpeded! So far it’s good until December with updates 2x week after the first chapter is finished. It will be updating here and on the Duck webcomics tomorrow!

What's Going On With Angel--Please Answer A Quick Questio...
Posted 4 years agoHi fellow fursons. Long time furry kitty here and writing to tell you lots of things. If you don't want to read through this whole mess, you can just jump to the bolded part.
First off, hi again. I do hang around FA a lot even though I'm not posting content. I know that a lot of you watching me would like to see that content come back and so would I. Some things I can control but atm there are other things I can't control that are preventing me from working on doing things I used to love to do.
My ring and pinky fingers began to go numb in March of this year. I was loosing grip function in my right hand and I didn't know why. I made an appointment with my Doctor to discuss what was going on.
When I went to the Doctor, they took my blood pressure before seeing me as per routine. It was 175/104, which is way too high. So my appt became more like a wake up call for my health. My doctor lowered my sodium intake first to see if it would drop down into a normal level. My elbow would need rest, she thought it was the ulnar nerve becoming angry from leaning on it too much while I sat in my desk chair. So rest and diet change became the new thing. About 10 days after that my blood pressure wasn't going down so they took my blood and did some tests. Because it didn't seem like any of my blood results found a cause for my high blood pressure, she put me on a medication for it. I tried that med for 4 days but it caused my heart to race so fast I thought I was having a heart attack at work. It also made my arms feel like they were being gently electrocuted and made my back spasm. So we did not use that medicine again. But my fingers weren't still normal even with no drawing, no gaming, no typing. So she said to use ibuprofen to see if that would lower the ulnar nerve's inflammation.
After that, the new medicine started to work but my BP is still a little on the upper side and my elbow still wasn't better. So she referred me to a physical therapist for my hand and elbow and raised my medication dosage. In Mid-May I started physical therapy and am currently getting my hand strength and grip back. Because my BP won't go down just into normal range, my doctor started me on another medicine to take with the one that's been working.
SO to recap, since mid March, I haven't been able to really sit to do anything I really like to do. I haven't been able to eat like I used to. I am taking account of everything I eat, I cook everything for myself so I can make sure my sodium doesn't climb. I am so fixated on my health that I am very stressed out and have no outlet for it.
I need to ask who ever is still out there something important. I want to know what you guys prefer as an online payment system for commissions. I have heard that Paypal is not the best when it comes to paying an artist. I have seen Ko-Fi but they don't allow NSFW. Patreon seems to be--okay but they also have a lot of no-no's too. Subscribstar is what Azzy uses for his youtube stuff but can that work with commissioning someone? I guess you can tip me and then I could draw something for you. I tried to get a Fiverr account but their system has to have you verify who you are with a phone number and apparently mine doesn't work because it needs to be a landline. Are there any other payment platforms that you guys prefer?
The reason I ask is because I may need help with medical bills and physical therapy bills for my arm. If I can square away a better payment system, I can start looking to get commissions to alleviate some of my monetary problems. Now, I hear you going "But if drawing hurts your arm, why are you trying to do commissions?"
Because I want to be able to draw again. I want to be able to hold my mouse without it triggering the nerve. If I have to work slow and draw for short periods so I can gain my long periods back, that's what I want to do. I have to be able to. Drawing was one of the only ways I could express myself and get emotions out. Writing was another. Now I am just a ball of nerves and health problems with no outlet.
So if anyone can answer me this, thank you. If you can't, thanks for reading this far. I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.

Posted 6 years agoHi all! For those people who are watching me and the recent activity of ORIGINS going smoothly, more is to come! Just had to do some holiday shopping and lots of house cleaning this weekend and didn't have much downtime. I was sick with a "super cold" for about 3 weeks. I didn't get the worst of it even, this one that was going through my work/school hit others very hard! Usually causing Sinus Infections OR Pneumonia. I missed both but I think it was because I started medicating at early signs. Because of the sickness, I did have a few down time days to work on the comic haha but that was a full month ago.
So...more ORIGINS is coming! Probably Wed or Thurs this week will be when it posts on here.

Stressed And Sad
Posted 6 years agoSo, I have had my first car for 15 years now. I got her in 2003 and haven't wanted to get rid of her in all that time. She runs fine, has a few kinks but she works really well for how old she is.
Today on my way to work, about 20 feet from my house, an 82-year old man hit me at a 4-way stop on my passengers side rear tire. He claims I didn't stop at it, but a nice man who saw the whole thing gave me his name and number and said that I stopped and he didn't and he would testify saying that to the police.
All-in-all I'm fine, but her back tire and bumper are just... bent wrong.
She's probably totaled, and I've been sick about it. Azzy and my family and family-in-law are all helping me get a new car but she was my first car. Ever.
*heavy sighs*
She's getting towed tomorrow.

THE RETURN OF ANGEL PHANTOM

Its been a very long time since I posted anything on FA though I try to visit the site once a week to favorite things I like from other artists.
Why was the absence so long? Well...
I got married (to Azzy), bought a house, work a LOT with about 300 kiddos from my home town and I have 2 lovely nieces who take up some of my time.
I also have been doing graphics for LOTS of things as well as making a coloring book.
That's about it. Art for myself as well as writing has taken a side step sort of. I have another novel in the works but its a little more--adult? Than my previous writings on here. I haven't picked if I'm going to post it on here though it is another furry story. If you would like to read this story, comment below! Its not done either but its about 6 chapters long thus far.
But big news!
DRACEN will be coming back! The Dragonologist Universe is going to continue forward! I am determined to try to finish it.
Hopefully SOON Dracen will be finished. I'm crossing my fingers that the Holidays won't make me too crazy or sick to do some good old fashioned dragon writing. Possibly some Origins comic pages too!

SO...ALIVE
Posted 11 years agoI'm alive, just very busy lately lol. Went to visit Azzy's step-mom in KY last weekend then got very sick throughout this whole week. Am I working on anything? Lots of things but nothing complete. I found all the artwork I did in HS and college today, thinking about posting some of that stuff. I also moved OUT of the apartment and into a house with Azzy, and my niece is getting so very big so quickly its amazing lol she turned a year already.
If I don't draw anything, happy Halloween!! I don't know if I'll have time to do a pumpkin carving this year but I will try to! Hopefully Sunday!!

Guess who was in the ER twice within a 24 hour period?

I got a bug bite that reacted badly and had a ring around it, which is a large sign of a tick bite. My mother has chronic lyme and my sister had lymes disease, because of where we all work (at a vet clinic) I'm at a higher risk of getting lyme as well. So I went to the doctor (I really dislike hospitals, its a big fear of mine) and had the doctor look at it. He didn't know what kind of bite it was but he prescribed me Amoxycillin for two weeks just in case it was a tick bite and it transmitted lyme among the other tick-bite diseases.
The night of my last dose of amoxycillin, I became unbearably itchy all over. I broke out in hives and Azzy took me to the ER at 4am in the morning. The ER doctor looked and said it was probably an allergy to the amoxycillin and to stop taking it immediately as well as a strict regiment on benadryl and zyrtec for two weeks. The next day I couldn't go into work because the benadryl made me literally unconscious for the whole day.
The next night at about 7pm I noticed an aching pain in my back when I'd swallow. I took more medicine and it seemed to help so I went to bed as normal. At about 1am I noticed it started to hurt when I'd try to swallow, and my hives got noticeably larger again. I went into the ER again and saw a new doctor and he told me my tongue was starting to swell up and my throat probably was too, hence why it hurt when I swallowed. He gave me a large dose of steroid and took an x-ray to make sure my air way wasn't compromised. Lucky for me it wasn't, and the majority of the swelling was around where the worst of the hives was.
SO, now I'm on lots of loopy making drugs, one tries to put me to sleep while the other tries to keep me awake, its a weird combination...
Hope everyone has NOT had the June of medical issues I have, and summer's been at least pleasant for you all.

Posted 11 years ago...Is my 28th Birthday!
...And I'm getting over a cold my niece (the little baby) gave me! Oh so fun to have to do on your birthday!
I know! I don't post journals about many things lol mostly because of teaching and working and living with my Azzy. And Monster Hunter--that really has been too much fun. Anyways, art-wise I'm still alive, writing wise, I'm still here too. Its finally the end of the school year and after this weekend with my birthday I'll have a little bit more breathing room to do both. Don't get me wrong I've been sketching up the wazoo lately but they're in sketchbooks bigger than my scanner, and I finally got a new battery charger for my camera so it'll be sketches at the beginning of June--athon, or some such non-sense.
In other news, I've been working on a single picture per sentence animated sequence for Azzy's youtube so if you want to see those images, let me know :).

Sick, Sick, Sick...
Posted 11 years agoSo, my brother had food poisoning just about a week ago for a few days, white as a sheet and couldn't eat anything really hearty for at least four days.
It wasn't food poisoning. It was some sort of stomach bug which my sister (the one with the 4 month old baby) and I caught. It actually triggered when I was out of town visiting with my old roommate and best friend. It. Was. Awful. Thank goodness that I had friends who geared me full of anti-everything meds and I got home to a superbly caring mate who tried to make me eat and sent me to bed for 13 hours. I didn't eat for 24 hours (Friday-Saturday) and got a fever in the middle of the night Saturday. Thank goodness Azzy had Sunday off to take care of me and make sure I ate something as well as be a lump for the whole day and night. My stomach's still not at 100% but I can eat very bland things. I missed work all weekend and have to pull some extra shifts this coming weekend because of it so that's not going to be awesome.
I'm going to be hopefully doing something of worth this week art wise, right now I have a zillion sketches and 85% of the next DTS chapter done but nothing complete to share with you guys.
Hope all is well and I'll talk with you guys soon or at least attempt to post something.

Moved into apartment!
Posted 12 years agoSo recent updates, Azzy and I moved FAST from one place to another, literally. So new apartment, which means NO internet for a while. I've been fine, promise friends!
My niece is a growing like a weed and she was born on Sept 8th lol. Things have gotten crazy with my family lately but she's fine and healthy.
Other things, I've been sketching a lot but nothing DONE done, same thing with writing...PLUS swap force just came out...so...I've been absorbed with other things lately.
On another note, I got my first ever migraine! Stressed out and lack of sleep apparently causes those...so I spent a whole afternoon/evening on the floor in a nest of blankets in a dark hallway in the new place.
Anyways, I want to try to do something digital soon since I've been doing all traditional sketching--or been too stressed out to really do anything creative.
There you have it folks! I hope things have been less than crazy where you are. Expect a Halloween carving sometime in the near future, I know you guys look forward to those every year lol.

Well, we've found a sort of calming point in the storm of moving and have actually been able to relax. We're still missing a couch but at the moment we've been mostly snuggling in a hammock chair lol.
I'm hoping to start up the creative stuff soon, my drafting table is all set up and with less things to do with the school year almost over, I have time for creativeness! Hopefully...

Well, we've found a sort of calming point in the storm of moving and have actually been able to relax. We're still missing a couch but at the moment we've been mostly snuggling in a hammock chair lol.
I'm hoping to start up the creative stuff soon, my drafting table is all set up and with less things to do with the school year almost over, I have time for creativeness! Hopefully...
Other things...I dunno if you want to know something you can always ask! XD

Posted 12 years agoSorry for all the in-activity of art and writing guys, but I've been wrapping up my art classes for the school year and am moving in 9 days!
And moving in with my lovely
az_the_wox so its been packing....packing...packing...cleaning...packing...teaching...working...family drama and more packing.
Honestly the only time I've been semi-creative is when I teach my kids how to draw stuff, its starting to wear on my creative gasket...
But then I remember I still have more packing to do!! And then I get wired.

Does Anyone Play Monster Hunter? Monster Drawing Vote
Posted 12 years agoI really like the monsters in the games XD and want to draw one BUT I don't know which one to do...?
Does anyone have any ideas for their favorite monster?
If you don't know Monster Hunter monsters, I'd recommend looking them up in an image search because they are really interesting. I like the game because it takes a LOT of behavioral learning and observation in order to really understand any of the monsters, from the littlest to the largest.
Plus they've got lots of Wyvern-type dragons YAAAAY!
Here's a list of the monsters for Monster Hunter 3 (tri) although it has the least amount of large monsters of the games thus far.

VACUUMS ARE THE DEVIL
Posted 12 years agoI've taken a part the vacuum I have about TEN TIMES this morning, cleaning the brush, replacing the belt, cutting off a piece of melted plastic that was preventing the brush from spinning, etc etc etc and after ALL THAT WORK JUST TRYING TO VACUUM TWO RUGS--THE DAMN BAG'S FULL UP AND I HAVE NO REPLACEMENTS!!!
VACUUMS ARE THE DEVIL!
