My recent free time has been Sherlock, which is a BBC mini series if Sherlock Holmes took place in the 21st century. Its only three episodes but each episode is an hour and a half so essentially its three movies.

If you like Sherlock Holmes you need to check it out, its brilliant.

The other thing I've been doing, not so much in my spare time....more like when I'm not doing something else has been reading "The Hunger Games" which--is very hard to put down...

I've decided I love Peeta, for those who have read the book you know who I'm talking about lol.

Az is actually teaching to his students as they read the Hunger Games. I blame Az and Artemis for this new addiction...lol Artemis let me borrow her first book now I'm going to have to go there and get the next one...

So...A little under a year ago I gave my resume, what I was fluent in (media, not language) and other things to the art center nearby where my mother's clinic is.

Today, is the first night of me teaching my fantasy art class for younger kids (K-6 I think...I dunno exactly what the age group actually is yet). A week ago she first said I had 4 students which was the minimum for holding the class. Within minutes of the first four kids, a fifth signed up so today I expected to have 5 artists and lots of fun.

As of about ten minutes ago, I'm up to 9 kids. Which is still a SMALL class, but I was NOT expecting it to be that popular O.o.

Better yet, unlike the other organization I work for I get per child per hour, instead of a flat rate.

Extra monies here I cooooome!!! XD!!!

This is technically the "trial run" of the fantasy class so its a shorter term than it would be if it was a regular run class.

Lets hope things go smoothly tonight!!

SO Azzy really likes My Little Pony Friendship is magic and gave me the first episode to watch. He is a Bronie? Or a Brohoof? I know what the Bronie means now but not the Brohoof LOL.

I've been watching it and its not a bad show by any means I don't think but I used to watch the very old show and movies lol so I have a different avenue.

Some of the fans honestly scare me though...

I'm going to finish it I think just to make sure I'm on the same page as most of the world now HAHA. I don't think I'm going to delve into the fandom though, there are terrifying things beyond that wall. I'll watch it and make my own conclusions maybe do a fun Angel as a pony artwork again with her splotchy colors even though none of the ponies are splotchy.

I really like the little dragon though lol...because he's cuuuuute and I want to hug him lots.

I'm a little fan I admit it, but am I going to memorize names, places, how many of this occurs here? No.

Star Trek Voyager is my obsessive obsession. I admit that one out wright. I have watched it so many times through now I can name the episode and SEASON its in. Janeway's hair cuts included in that. You want to get on my good side? You mention that to me HAHA. You really want to make me start talking? Ask me about Tom paris and B'elanna Torres!!!! I'll talk your ear right off.

Supernatural is included in that too, but Voyager is my true obsession show...

SO yes Angel is watching My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. Her true heart will always belong to the crew of Voyager and their intrepid journey through the Delta Quadrant. But just in case watchers were curious on why there is suddenly a little My Little Pony harmless artwork, that is why.

As a surprise this Christmas, my sister and brother-in-law bought me "The Last Unicorn" 25th anniversary addition. It was one of those iconic movies when I was little because--I watched it from when I was 4 until 13 years old and when I was 13 there came another TAPE and mine was almost dead so for my birthday I got it from Artemis. I read the book a million times too...obsessed much?

My goodness I forgot how much this movie impacted my art HA. Love it, I admit it. Its a little more violent than I remember as a kid for sure. I think its animated by the old Lord of the Rings series if any of you younglings have seen that! XD.

So, its been two days or so since I talked last about the little sick kitten, Cass. We've been giving him anti-biotics for a week I think? And yesterday he was eating pretty normally and becoming a wild kitten again, yay! :-D

I also noticed the edge of his mouth just above his chin was red and swollen (looked like a boxer after they'd been clipped in the jaw) and we think that's where he either was scratched or bitten (by his sister...or himself). We gave him some pain medication and now he's eating like a starving man again. Hopefully he'll put some good kitten weight on like his sister has. She's always been double his size, but when he wasn't eating his weight dropped significantly.

So this morning his wound is not swollen on his mouth but its still red/infected. We'll be giving him his antibiotics for another week I think...I can't remember haha!

I'll take pictures of them both if you guys want to see how big they got!

Doing a lot of running around this morning, first going to the clinic to pick up necessary items for the test, then helping mom take blood for test and then sitting in wait for ten minutes to see if the tests were positive.

Honestly my mother and I were staring at them for the whole ten minutes waiting.

And Cass and his sister are NEGATIVE!! XO!!!!

That means Cass and his sister aren't going to have to be euthanized. For those who don't know Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS do not have a cure, are easily spread and will kill your cat in a slow and painful death. The only humane thing to do if they're positive is to euthanize them.

The bad news? We still don't have a lead on what's making him so sick.

Mother called the vets that work for her at her clinic, and the only thing they can think of is an adverse reaction to the vaccine.

After making sure it was negative, I ran around to get different kinds of kitten food and kitten formula, seeing what he'll eat and if he doesn't seem to want to eat, start putting formula in a syringe and feeding him that way.

Currently he's still very sick, his temperature is down but only by 2 degrees so he still has a fever. He didn't want any of the expensive fancy kitten food I bought (although all the other cats seem to want it badly) and mother gave him some fluids (through an IV) and we got some formula in him.

I will try to keep you guys updated as much as possible.

The kittens that I posted all those lovely pictures of when they were babies and then my mother decided to keep them?

The little boy, Cass, got very sick today with a high fever. He is 11 weeks as of today. My mother (veterinarian) hopes it is just a bacteria infection from a bite or a scratch we can't find/see.

What she worries about is it could be feline AIDS or FIV. Which means we're shit out of luck plus his sister could have it too.

He was vaccinated for Distemper on Monday, his sister, Mia had an ouchie spot for a day then she was back to normal. My mother says he's still really young for him to have Feline AIDS appear, but the fever he's got says something is very wrong. He ate a little, drank a little, but not enough to stay hydrated.

Please send good vibes, they're just babies and I really don't want them to get sick and die...

So, Angel has a bat.

A little brown bat.

Now, needless to say since I've gotten my ceiling redone I haven't sen bats in a while. They used to live up in the suspended ceiling and appear a few times in the summer.

Now, its December 13, 5:30 am, and a bat is now taped in a shoe box.

And I have no idea what to do with it. Its the winter time, I can't very well release it into the 10 degree wind and snow outside.

So now I'm learning about bats, at 5:30 am in the morning.

Geez I'm hoping I don't have to make an emergency trip to the wildlife center in the morning...its a good hour there and back.

I made the emergency run to the wild life center, so he's there now warm and with a roost of other bats for the winter.

I was going to do comic art this week, but I open it up and pick up my tablet pen...and stop.

I lost my momentum *cries* at least digitally. I had such a good streak too...I dunno when "I am a Demon" will be finished now...I was hoping very soon since I have three pages lines done but I hit that wall where I just can't finish them because it doesn't hold my interest atm.

Maybe I should open wolf's den up again, maybe not...It needs to be drawn but I don't want to draw it just to draw something. I like putting myself into my comics, and if I tried now I'd just be drawing them, not really putting the emotional effort in.

I've been drawing more traditionally in my sketchbook with my dragon book so maybe expect more traditional stuff, the semester is winding down and I'll have more time during the day to do drawing.

Inspiration left me in the dust it seems. Maybe my kids will hold some clue today to help me find it again, they always cheer me up when everything seems down.

I teach for Young Rembrandts, an after school art program for student who want to learn more about drawing. I teach at five different schools across the area I live in currently. I just picked up the fifth this week, which is where our story begins.

I took over this class on Tuesdays because A) the original instructor for it could not handle the class. Apparently it was a "problem" class and they needed someone with actual teaching background to step on and take control. And B) I didn't care about taking it over, more money for me in the long run and I taught at the school last year so I knew it already so everyone knew me including half of the kids signed up.

There are two classes currently at the school, a Kindergarten class (which another instructor in the same program I am in) and the 1st-5th grade class (the one I took over).

So, I arrive prompt and preened and moved the classroom around to my fitting, having put down "blotter paper" with students names on it so they had an assigned seat. The students arrived, I went over who I was, what I did yadda yadda and we started drawing...

Until the secretary popped her head in with news.

The other instructor hadn't shown up, and the secretary called my boss with an idea of what to do. Which was have me teach both classes at once.

...Which turned into a TON of kids FAST. But my boss said "jump" and I was going to do what she said.

All in all the kids did very well with the drawing. The only problem I really ran into was I didn't have enough pencils so two kids had to get their own from their back packs. We talked about the culture in the lesson and did the drawing and shipped out. Was it a little chaotic? Yes, but what can you say about 26 kids, most under the age of 6?

I called my boss afterwards and was praised with thank yous and thank goodnesses. I also got an email from said missing instructor who thought there was no class this week because of Thanksgiving.

Would I do it again?

Not on your life HAHA. All the same age, sure. All varying in ages, no way.

My mother is keeping them too...So on top of Stitch she now has "Mi-Amore" the little girl and "Tigger" the little boy. She honestly doesn't trust ANYONE to take care of the babies haha...so now they are her babies. They are now 6 weeks old! They're getting big...and crazy...

What have I been up to lately? Something super secret with friends which will hopefully be awesome...

And artwork lately has been traditional stuff on top of "I am a Demon" and WYDS. The next page of Demon should show up soon, within the next few days for sure since I'm coloring it now. I'm attempting to work on the traditional Azurea new revamped sketch and decide if a BG is needed...

I have started with the mane so she DOES have one for those who were worried haha. I've stepped back from the digital one for a bit, I think I need to work on her traditionally first. Digital is easier in the long run...and I'm challenging myself haha.

Here's the deal. Angel (me) has gone through some fur changes as of recently. Does this mean Angel will change in Wolf's Den and WYDS and "the guardian"?

No. She will look like the old Angel fur colors in the comics because it will make it congruent and not confusing. But all the fun art I do in between will be the new Angel look with the dark grey splotches and white marks and brighter blue eyes.

Does that make sense to all?

Another night where I don't sleep. It is now 4am where I am and I have to get up in a couple of hours to get ready for teaching.

I went to bed around 10:30pm, I did not fall asleep until around 1am I think. I've been up now since 3:30am feeding baby kittens and making sure they're warm enough. They will be five weeks on Friday.

At this point I dunno if I should try to go back to bed or stay up and go to sleep early tonight, I think that's what I'll do. If I can't survive the day I'll take a nap.

Don't we love insomnia? I think its going to honestly be the reason I get sick. I don't need to get sick again. Tomorrow I'll be able to hopefully catch up on it.

And unlike other people's my Halloween weekend was fine and enjoyable. Hope everyone else had fun too.

The reason behind the recent comic page with Wulf Mountain overtones is a very long dream I had a while back and a few more sprinkled in recently.

In the dream, Ira (me in that case) is a blackhood who never integrates with society because everyone thinks she is a demon because of her looks. I do not know how she got there in the middle of the tundra lands. She follows the code of the blackhoods as well as a code not to show herself to society. She is meant to be a spectre in a blackhood's cloak and do her duty to the pack from the shadows. She is only known to the other blackhoods and the Alpha Female.

She begins to observe Spearstriker and Sugartail from cliffs and edges the wolves cannot reach because they cannot climb. She does this because she still wants to learn about their society, interactions and such. She starts stalking him after a while and thinks she falls in love with him.

I think that's all you guys need to know to answer the questions.

I start up my after school teaching bit tomorrow afternoon so Angel gets to teach art again! Exciting stuff. I've gotten all my supplies done, the lesson plan for tomorrow is all ready and colored and I thought tonight I was going to be able to sleep for the first time in a while.

Apparently not.

I work also at a vet clinic (my mother's) and worked there all weekend. Well, we are also the city pound there and take in animals that the Animal Control officers find to either re-unite or try to find homes for. Well, when I was taking care of one of the boarding dogs and two cop cars pull up I knew something was up.

What I didn't expect was for a very large PD officer to come in with his coat gathered up to his chest and another officer following him in.

He then showed me the two day old pair of kittens he was coddling.

And of course, I get to take the home. I'm not going to let them starve! TWO DAYS OLD KITTENS.

Unfortunately they need to be fed every 2 hours during the day and 3-4 hours at night.

See where my sleep is going? Out the window apparently.

*heavy sigh* Time to start taking naps in between feedings. Luckily my mother can take them when I teach to make sure they're eating and such. That's the good news.

Start teaching, just got rid of a foster dog and 6 hours later end up with two tiny kittens who still have their umbilical cords attached. Doesn't get better than THAT.

So Angel has two more babies now.
