Posted a year agoIt appears I have achieved 3k watchers! I'm so happy and humbled! I figured I'd never reach this kind of watcher number, knowing how FA is, and yet here I am!
Thank you so so much! As a reward of sorts, I'm making a poll to see what kind of art I should get next! I've been rather slow with art lately thanks to irl stuff, but I do want to get something that I know people will love! You can of course suggest other things that could be incorporated with the poll result (send ideas in PMs here or other channels).

Posted 2 years agoSo, a few of my friends already know this, but I have a Telegram channel dedicated to the art I commission, featuring my main sona Finn. It's been up for quite a while now, and finally decided that I could share the link for the channel here so people can join at their own will. It's almost fully mature/adult art, as people who follow me might guess. XD

Looking for a 3d modeler
Posted 3 years agoMany know that I own a 3d avatar. I've used it for VRchat, and it works quite well, overall. The artist did a great job and I'm very happy with the model as is. I guess that with some practice I could make it work on other platforms too.
But, the question is, why would I need still a 3d modeler? Well! I have been thinking that the model/avatar needs some tweaking. The animations could be a bit better and there could be more of them overall. I'm also thinking I would love to be able to change the avatar's proportions in VRchat, have clothes, etc. And finally, the current model is only SFW, and I would definitely enjoy it being NSFW. Yes, I'm a perv like that. XD
So, if you have the skills to make such edits, or if you know someone who does those (and is able to work within reasonable timeframe), let me know! I'm ready to pay for the work, of course.

I'm not quite sure how to celebrate this milestone just yet, but I hope I figure something out. I have had some troubles coming up with good commission ideas, as well as fitting artists, but I've also wanted to save a bit of money. Art is not cheap, and I do need to think of my budget more and more these days. But don't worry! I'll keep ordering and posting art, even if it's not always as frequent as before.
In other news, I'll be heading to the US this summer. I will be seeing a couple friends there, who have convinced me to travel there. My previous trip there was a bit underwhelming, but I have hopes this one will be much better. I don't have much plans regarding that just yet, but I know it will be mainly chilling and seeing some sights. I won't attend any conventions or similar venues. I'm not a big convention person, and I'd much rather see friends in a more regular setting and focus on them. But yeah, I'm expecting good times.
I know there's a war going on not that far from where I live, and covid hasn't gone anywhere. With so many negative news, it's so very important to stay positive and sharing that positive energy. I'm more hopeful than in a long while and looking forward to the future. I have been chatting and seeing more people, met new friends, and I do hope this will last. An impostor on F-list, update
Posted 4 years agoSo, the current situation is this: I managed to prove that the art on the impostor's profile on F-list belongs to me, so the art is being taken down. However, there's nothing I could do about the name of the character, since it's different from the name of my character on F-list. Here's to hope that the user will change it on their own or delete it now that the art is there no more. But, if the name remains, I hope people don't think I'm into all the things they are.
On another note, there is still (at least) one another account on F-list that is using art of my sona. They, however, have a disclaimer, telling that the art isn't theirs and they give credit to me as the owner of the art. To me, that kind of practice is acceptable. And their list of fetishes and kinks isn't too conflicting with my own personal taste. And their character's name isn't referring to me, so wrong associations are less likely.
I want to thank my friends for support, as well as the F-list moderator who worked with me, for the swift and good work.

An impostor on F-list
Posted 4 years agoA kind soul came to me with information that someone is using my art and username on F-list. I went to check it out and it's true. I will not provide a link to said page here, but I will state that the only F-list profile that is actually me is https://www.f-list.net/c/finn%20shadowscale. I'm not using it much these days since I don't RP anymore, but I still don't like when people pretend to be me.
They are using some of my art on their page, as well as username that can be directly associated with mine here on FA. Their kinks and fetishes appear to include some stuff that I am totally not into (scat, for example) and I don't want to be associated with such things. I did ask them politely to remove the art and change the username, but the response was negative.
I've filed an art takedown request, although I also hope they will adress the username issue as well.
This journal is mainly here because of the takedown request, as the admins require a proof of my identity.

Posted 5 years agoA very big thank you shout to all my watchers for reaching this milestone! I'm very happy to see people like the art I post here and I hope that will be the case in the future as well! I do plan to keep getting more art for the time being. So stay tuned and see what fun (and probably lewd) stuff will be in store~
One thing I'd like to add here that is slightly off-topic. I turned 30. Wohoo.
Posted 5 years agoSo yeah, some of my friends remembered my birthday a week ago. I turned 30. I guess I'm "old" now, at least compared to the majority of FA users, it seems. I don't feel particularly happy for getting older, as it feels like I've lost the last 10 years of my life. I wish I could've experienced a lot more. Oh well, no use being sad about the past.
Regardless, I don't have much plans right now. I hope the global things start to get more stable so I get to see my friends abroad.

Life update
Posted 5 years agoSo yeah, things have moved on a bit. I'm still single and that front has remained pretty calm for now. And considering the events around the globe (that damn Covid-19), it's unlikely that this will change any time soon.
Basically the biggest thing is that I have moved again, this time to my very own apartment! No longer rent and landlords, worrying about breaking stuff or making a mess! Muhahaa! But seriously, it's a good feeling to own one's own place. In Finland, it's pretty much a "national duty" to eventually own one, which to some of you guys might sound odd. There's still some work to be done to get the place look the part and so on, but all in all, things are going rather smoothly. The biggest haul is over and now it's lighter stuff. Now I just have to spend the next 15 years to pay the mortgage. Yay...
The pandemic has hit Finland as well, as expected. I am all healthy and doing well, that's not what troubles me. Rather, it meant that I had to do the move without any help. So, no help cleaning my own apartment, and I won't get any help with cleaning the previous one. I also work online now, which is kinda a good thing, but really, it adds up stress immensily. Life update
Posted 6 years agoSo, as many of you already know, my mate and I broke up a a few days ago. My trip to the US was disappointing and we didn't get to do the things we wanted. I'm not going into details here, but my ex and I are in good terms and still consider each other friends. I want to thank each and every one who has supported me and my ex during this rough period. Without you, I don't know if I had survived as well as I did.
All things considered, I'm doing okay now. I've recovered from jetlag and I'm focusing on moving on in life.

I will be spending my holildays away. I'm visiting my family for a few days, starting on the 22nd, and right from there I will be heading to see my mate in the US. Yes, you read correctly, I will be heading to the US. I will be back home in early January, so until then I will be unable to do anything normally. Just a heads up to those who wish to talk to me. It may take a while to get back to you if you message me during this time.
So yeah, I head to the US. Oregon, to be more specific. I'll be staying there with my mate for over a week. I hope things turn out amazing despite all the setbacks we've had on the way. I can't wait to give him all the cuddles and kisses. ^///^

Another year older
Posted 6 years agoSo yeah, some may know/remember that I had birthday last week. I wasn't at home, so I couldn't do a proper journal.
Anyways, it was the best birthday I have had in a long long time. People actually remembered my birthday! I even got a few presents (which isn't important, but still). I just want to thank all of my friends who remembered me. You've been a great support during tough moments, and I can't thank you enough for your kind words and support.
The year was a big roller coaster, to say the least. I moved, changed job and got to know a bunch of amazing people. I've had a great time, met a special furry mate that means the world to me, and had a bunch of art too. All in all, not too bad, I suppose.

Someone uses my sona on Twitter (Solved)
Posted 6 years agoSo yeah, today I discovered that someone uses Finn as their character on Twitter. He states that it's not his character, but he didn't ask my permission to use it. I feel very upset about it, and I hope that the issue will be solved soon. I don't want people to think that the person is me.
If you want to know who that person is, I can provide you a link in a PM.
I know he doesn't probably mean harm, but I'm not okay with someone using my character(s) in public.
So if you want to help, please report him. This would mean a lot to me. Thank you. ^w^
Just to clarify, I'm not on Twitter, and probably never will be.

A total of 44 people took part in the poll. The winning suggestion with 14 votes (31.5 %) is...
The point of view is a the bottom looking up at Jason and Finn with both of there shlongs hard while there touching each other, and both of them looking down at the viewer while one holds a collar and the other holds a leash with a grin face on both.
Wow, I really liked this idea, and I know this will make my friend happy too!
Then, according to you, the favorite secondary character is... Sam! I'm so happy to see that you love the new guy the most! I shall commission a piece of art with him very soon too. ^w^

Namely, I could buy a commission that is inspired by you! In other words, I would love to collect some of your ideas and hear what you want to see!

- Finn must be included
- May or may not include other characters, including my other characters, or your own, if you so desire (but I will pay for the whole thing, of course)
- Not too complex/expensive ideas (no comics, animations, or other things that I know will be too expensive)
- To submit your idea, you must be my watcher, naturally :P

Announcement: no longer roleplaying
Posted 6 years agoI've been thinking of making this journal for quite a while now, and I've decided to finally make this public. *Takes a deep breath* Okay, here it goes...
For the past few months, I've been RPing a lot. A whole lot. Too much, to be honest. At first it was alright, but as time passed, it began consuming my entire spare time. All my available hours someone asks me to RP with them, and I haven't had the chance to actually ask people to RP, as I'm already preoccupied. Combined with the fact that people don't seem to understand what time difference means, or that I actually have a life outside RP, I just can't take it anymore. I've wanted to do things, but have been stopped by people RPing with me. I've been too nice, I suppose, as I don't want to hurt peoples' feelings.
So, I think that the only proper decision is to stop RPing for the time being. This is not an easy decision, as I enjoy it a good deal, but I'm just too tired and frustrated. I really want to spend time with my friends that I've learned to know through FA, as well as my mate (who shall be kept unnamed for now :P).
If you want to chat with me and ask how I've been, it's fine. If you want to spend time chatting, sure! No problem! But from this moment on, I won't RP. I want to focus on making actual irl friends, instead of just RP partners.
I'm sorry if I hurt someone's feelings, but I must think about my own good for once.
For the past few months, I've been RPing a lot. A whole lot. Too much, to be honest. At first it was alright, but as time passed, it began consuming my entire spare time. All my available hours someone asks me to RP with them, and I haven't had the chance to actually ask people to RP, as I'm already preoccupied. Combined with the fact that people don't seem to understand what time difference means, or that I actually have a life outside RP, I just can't take it anymore. I've wanted to do things, but have been stopped by people RPing with me. I've been too nice, I suppose, as I don't want to hurt peoples' feelings.
So, I think that the only proper decision is to stop RPing for the time being. This is not an easy decision, as I enjoy it a good deal, but I'm just too tired and frustrated. I really want to spend time with my friends that I've learned to know through FA, as well as my mate (who shall be kept unnamed for now :P).
If you want to chat with me and ask how I've been, it's fine. If you want to spend time chatting, sure! No problem! But from this moment on, I won't RP. I want to focus on making actual irl friends, instead of just RP partners.

Posted 6 years agoSo, a couple of you guys may already know this, but as of late, I've started dating. I don't want to explain things too much at this stage, but I'm pretty much in love now. ^w^
In short, I can tell that this person is a furry and is everything I've ever wanted. They live pretty far away, though, which sucks badly, but I'm confident that the distance doesn't matter, if you truly love someone. We have already planned to meet in the summer, and eventually move in living together, if things progress as we want.
But yes, I'm a very happy draggie now. ^w^
However, this means I'm a lot busier than I've been before, as we want to spend time together as much as we can.
Thank you guys for your support through my tough moments! I really want to see each and every one of you to find love and happiness too. It really makes everything worthwhile. <3

Since my previous journal, I've got many contacts from very nice people, and I'm very grateful for that. I've been busy with chatting with you all, and this has been the best time in the fandom so far. I feel sort of sad not to be able to chat with each and every one of you every day, but I guess that is a part of this all. Anyways, thank you so very much to all of you! Especially to those who have kept me company when I've felt down. I believe you recognize yourselves, and a big special thank you to you! <3
However, all that said, I'm still feeling sort of "lacking", and I know why, and that is something that mere chatting with others won't solve. You see, I've been chatting with many many people, but still, I don't have a special someone, or even a potential candidate (at least they have made that clear before I even brought the possibility up). I'm aware that my current life situation isn't really ideal to really start looking. I do hope one day things will change, but I know very well that I'm not getting any younger.
But thanks to all your support, I think I can manage! <3

Now, I would really want to be all happy and cheerful, but I feel like I should share a thing or two with you that aren't that nice...
Lately, I've been contacted with many people that ask for RP. Generally, I have nothing against that, and most of the time I enjoy that a lot (if I have the time, which I've been lacking lately). However, sometimes, things don't go that well. I understand that people don't like everything, and that's the way things should be. But sometimes, people are not happy about all the things I say or do in RP, and usually, they say that politely and I fix things to the best of my ability. And I do the same, although I'm pretty flexible in most cases. If the partner wants to do something I'm not completely comfortable with, I agree to do it, if the partner agrees to try something I like in return. Most of the time, that has worked out very well, and I've had many great sessions with that philosophy in the background. There are sometimes other kinds of issues, like quality of language or stuff like that, but those are (most of the time) very minor things.
But, things are not always that simple. Sometimes, I try to be nice and play along, even if I'm a little bit out of my comfort zone. But, if the partner is unwilling to try anything, and is possibly fixed to a certain role, then things tend to get dull pretty quickly. When I chat with a person for the first time, I want to ask them questions and talk, so that I know what sort of things they like and what they are expecting from the RP. That way, I can do my share and make the session as pleasurable as possible. Yet, for some reason, not everyone are like that. I admit, there are lots of different kinds of people around, and I respect their points of view. But if they are offended or angry when I ask them about some simple things, then I get all confused. All I'm trying is to make things nicer for the both of us.
I'll tell you an example, so you guys know what I'm talking about: After the first session, which was pretty good in general, I tell a partner that "I'm not a permanent bottom. I'm a switch. I want to do some stuff as a top too sometimes.". After that, they get all offended for some reason and tell me that "I shouldn't have asked to RP with you in the first place." I mean, WHAT?? Should I have stated my sexual preferences on my FA page with cat-sized letters? Is my art suggesting that my sona is a submissive bottom the whole time? You didn't ask it directly before you showed me your interest, and now you're telling me I've done something wrong? I mean, come on! We're all adults here.
Another thing is the language after that sort of incident. Usually people are polite and choose the words with care. But sometimes, they don't. They swear and use rude or immature language in general, and I'm rather sensitive person when it comes to that (outside RP). I don't get offended if people say that they don't like some things, but bad language really does it for me. Combined with my anxiety and shyness in general, words really do hurt me. Now, I don't say you should be all nice and fine with me. If you feel pissed about something I've said, then let me know right away. All I ask is to use proper adult language, and not act like some angry teenager.

Anyways, I think it's good to think about all the good stuff that has happened to me this year. I got my sona done (wohoo!), along with a few other characters. I've got so many new friends from all over the world (mainly Europe and North America, to be honest :P), and I wish you all a happy Christmas, Hanuka, or whatever you celebrate!
One last important thing: I'll be spending the Christmas with my family. I'll be leaving on December 21st, and I'll return on January 2nd. During that time, I can't RP, and not chat too much with you either. But if you do want to chat, I'll try my best to be there for you.

One year of FA - Thanks and about my life situation

I’ve been a member in FA for a year now, and it has truly been a wild ride. At first, things were quiet, but since the first proper submissions, things started moving on faster and faster. The past two or three months have been especially busy. People’s responses have been so positive and supporting that I was completely taken by surprise. So, a hearty thank-you to each and every one of you for that!

Lately, I’ve been RPing with several furs very actively. I enjoy that very much, but sometimes, I feel like I’ve been too busy with that. Playing with several partners each day, more than often with at least two partners simultaneously, is very taxing on the long run. I can already feel that on some days I’m not being as enthusiastic about RP, and therefore my playing might get slower and less interesting. (This might not be visible to my partner, but that’s how I feel.) So, if I don’t feel like RPing, it doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with you.
Also, if you’re looking for a nice long-term RP partner, then I should mention this: I enjoy a good story, perhaps even more than the smutty stuff. Individual short sessions are fine in moderation, but if we engage in quick erotic RP every day or so, it gets dull and uninteresting to me very quickly. Anyways, I thought that I should say this as I’ve had some… bad experiences.

Now, I want to share some a bit more personal stuff with you. Lately, I’ve started to get worried about my condition. And no, I’m physically healthy (I think). I’ve been feeling very lonely for the past few years. I’ve had some good friends, but for some reason, they have stopped keeping contact. Today, I feel I don’t have any irl friends anymore.
There are some obvious reasons. First of all, I engaged academic studies in the past, which consumed a good portion of my available time. After graduation, I had to move far away from my home town because it’s not easy to get jobs these days. Now, I didn't have too many true friends to begin with, but one by one they've stopped spending time with me, both face-to-face and online.
All this is enhanced by the fact that I’m still single (never had a proper partner) and knowing I’m not getting any younger. I know, I’m 28 right now, but still, considering my general situation, I’m worried. Here in Finland, it’s not easy to find fellow furs, let alone ones that are looking for a partner. I still have some hopes that I’ll find someone special, but to tell the truth, things are not looking too great.
But right now, I feel like I need friends. Friends that want to casually chat and perhaps do some gaming together, possibly even meet. Time difference is a great problem with most people I’ve met, but I still have a good feeling I will find some fellow furs who are willing to become friends with me. Especially because of the positive responses I’ve had with a few peeps. Thank you so very much!
