Since this is the first time I'm taking commissions on this scale, I'm going to be starting off with just 10
slots for available commissions just to test and see how much of a load i cant take. Also I don't have a PayPal

The title of this post was from a fourtune cookie that my wife got just befor we gor the call to move back into our house after all the flooding damage; It shoulde just said "May You Live In Interesting Times. " like the old Chinies curse goes.

As some of my freinds know I been havinga rather crappy last few months...hell a crappy year at that since I've been out of work. The person falling though our ceiling of my stepdaughters room and the flooding of 3/4's of out home we thougth would have been the icing on the cake for this year or so we thought. We were laughing and happy as sin when we got the call to head back home after having 5 of us crammed into a 2 room suit for nearly a month and half...course that all stopped when we got back. We came home to to the house being a compleat and utter disaster zone when we got in the door. Boxes and doors placed where ever and the furneture place where ever there was put it down; things whent down hill from there: We found out the cable company had turned off the cable and internet with out sending us a bill or a shut off notice while were gone< we went throught the whole weekend for it to be turned back on but leas that ment I got caught up on some movies i missed this year>, Our trash collection was stopped and to add insult to injury we had to shell out 300 dollars for the gas company to come out on the weekend because Our heat didn't work...needless to say we were beside ourselves and my wife was in tears. Hopefully these are the last road bumps for the year.

Today was on of those bitter sweet ones in my life; Today we laid my mother in law to rest and I had the honor of carrying her to her grave. On a better note on the way to the funeral my wife and I got the call that we have been waiting for.

For those that didn't know, I've been flooded out of my house for that last month and a half and living in a 2 room suite with 5 other family members while we waited for the new carpet and water and mold damage to be repaired. Thankfully the ordeal is over, the call was the all clear for us to move back in; Combine this with the finaliziation of our bankrutpcy and that means that we can finally get on with our lives...

I still have to find work since I've been out of work for the last year and a half now. To help out I'm finally goint to be posting my commsion information and how many slots I'm going to have open for them. Don't expet too many to start with since I'm goint to ease ing and see what I can handle. For thos that I owe commisions/builds via SL or other places I will get back on them as quickly as possable now that I'l be able to have access to al my art supplies.

few weeks back i said that be opening up commsions but that is put on hold till I get my life togther.
A combination of a pending bankruptcy hearing and the fact that we got flooded out of our home by
a blown waterpipe in the wall of the house has my thinking that this is the not the right time to be
doing art work for others when money is involved. I still have two priar commsions that are from sl I
I need to compleat, on them over a year old the other that need to be done by the end of the month.

My half sis just had her first kid...CeeCee was born tonight 7 lbs 7 ounces. Guess I requires to mack abligatory little chimpunk baby pict foe the little chipnunk cheeks.

Not too long ago I told you guys that I finished up the book cover project for that book on Domestic vilolence...Well the writer just got back intouch with me not too long ago to tell me how things was comming with her and the book. Well she has a book signing coming up up what she told me next is what shocked me...Not only the book beconsidered for sevral county libraries in her state, It is being considered as a College text book by the director of a couty collage's psych and Sociology program.
I've gon from doing a cover for a small press book to College text book in matter of weeks after its been published...All can say I cant wat to see how many other places pick this book up after the intial word gets out on it.

Great gods I been offered a job or jobs as it might be...

A new writer that will publishing her first book wants me to work on the cover for her! The book's on domestic
violence, a rather touchy but well known subject, which makes wonder why she came to a virtually unknown artist
to make the cover for it. Needless to say she and I hit it off quickly and it only took us minutes to come up with
a few ideas for the cover which was relief since some writers great at putting images into words and not the other way around. In an sense the books is done and they just need the cover done...so the pressure is on me now to get something memerable by the printing date. I'm not allowed to to release the name of the book or the author as of yet till it is released, So you'll have to wait till then to start looking for it and my piece. But if things work out i'll be working with hier on her other project a childrens book that is due out some time later...

Wish me luck guys If this thing does well I'm going to be looking at some nice comission and royalty checks.

I desided yesterday to take a little vacation from secnd life for 2 to 3 weeks.

With all that's happend to me IRL: My father in law moving in for a few weeks do to back surgery, the need for me to be finding work since I've been unemployed for nearly 8 months, the death of my grand mother, a host of project that i've not touched in a very long while and tack on the drama that is SL I need some time away. So on of my alts went on vacation offically last night...

I have to say this is an intersting way of finding out who you real freinds are and to who your just a passing accquaintance . I dropped a card off telling everyone in my freinds list that I'll be gone and the reason; I got a very large amount of "be well" , "come back soons" and "well be waiting for you." 's from most of who were on and from allot furrs and humans I didn't really didn't think new me that well but still sent out there warmest wishes to me while I take the equivelent of a mental health day. What hurt me though were the ones I though were the ones I had the closet bond to me not saying a word to me even though they were on when they got the message and said a farewell IM to them all befor I left....

Well the true test will be when I get back in how many of them really kept me on thier freinds list while i was gone...

Hey all seems the end of February ended in mixed emotions for me...

First the life portion of my post...or should I say secondlife.
I recently had to give up my land and home on secondlife do my being unemployed for nearly 8 months IRL now and could no longer keep up with the 6000 linden <$25 bucks> a month rent on my park/hot springs that I set up on Sunweaver Air. I dumped alot of time and lins into it and even had the admiration of the owners of few land scaping places for my little enviroment that I made. I like to that those that made donations in sl to try and help me keep the land but sadly it was not enough to meet the bills.

Now the death portion...
The end of the month also saw the end of yet another one of my relatives, My fathers mother past in the last 2 weeks of the month. I never harbored the ill will that had for my father to her and her passing still hurts me in a lingering fation even though that were never really compleatly close as i wanted us to be.

Lastly the 9mm...befor you all start reaching for the phone and calling your local police becaus your thinking the wrong thing put them down. When I went you my parents place for my grandmothers funeral <which was at the same time as the last big snow storm up here.> my stepfather took me shooting at the local gun range near Fort Dix. It helped me vent a little of the frustration that had been welling up in for some time. I'm not really a fan of 9mm's, they are too light and have a nasty recoil for my taste...I'm more a .38-.45 person. But I was not going to let that from tryingout my stepfathers Glock. After dumping about 100 or so rounds down range, I think didn't do that bad for someone who has not picked up a gun in nearly 8 years that was not a arcade piece...I'l be posting the poor target later.

Well furs it that time of the year again...

I took Zack to see his first anime inspired movie "Astro Boy" and those were the first words out the little guys mouth as the movie ended its moments like that I'm gonna remember when i look back at being a daddy.

Hey all,

I have to tip my hat to the folks at Symantec this time around. Back around the 19th a hacker started a brute force attack to get past my firewall on my computer. it had no effect till about 2 days ago when they were hammering me pretty good that the service frame work started to fail under the constant attack.

This person was not going for quitely slipping in...No, this attack was akin to a burgler trying to kick in every door with a sledge hammer. I went as far as unplugging my computer from the network and scanning it with my virus scanner and other tools. I pluged it back in 12 hours later and the attacks came back...

I got on the horn with Symantec and the tech updtated and patched my Norton so that the framework would stop failing and this guy would not get in. Thanks Syed...

My best guess, It was an Automated attack on my network because of the brute force used to try and get in; Since they threw everything in the book at my fire wall to get in...very messy and no finesses. It makes me wonder just what kind of system they were thinking they were trying to get into use so much force.

Hey guys thought I give you all a heads up,

I'm still hunting for the that illusive game art job, I've gotten some leads on some companies
up in Boston for me to look at but still see to be getting calls and emales asking me to come
work for them as a financial adviser or selling insurance...one them wanted me to sell it to labor
and teamsters unions. I don't know about you but both have ther inate dangers mob or other wise.

On a lighter note...
while poking around the net hunting for work, I came across a nice little site that lets you adopt a
virtual pet dragon...Yeh yeah I know i should be job hunting or some others say cleaning the pond
I call a pool But I could not resist it.

Right now its just an egg but help me ouy by paying the little guy or fort that matter girl a visit
and give there shell a rub for good luck. I'll let you know what I got when they hatch in s few days.

Hey all,

Well I'm now offically done with school...I now have a BS in Game Art and design from WestWood On-line. What I also have is a heafty amount of of student loan debt too.

So now with my new educatiom and skills it time you find my self a new job in the gaming industry to pay the school and every one else I owe money to off. I'm also going to be opening my self up for commisions as well as a means of trying to make some more money. I'll be posting a price list in my journal as well in my commissions section as to what I will do and for how much...And for you twisted ones out there i'm talking about art work.

Well Furs, tonigth celebrates the end of my first year
here on FA and I have to say that it went better then I
thought it would have gone. I may not have pulled in
4 + digit page veiws like my DA page but at least I have
more images views and watchers here. Hopefully with
my more intense college classes out of the way I'll have
time to make some more new non-class work and to
work on my 3d animations I have planed for the next
year.

Well i'm in a much better mood this time around for this entry,

I didn't start this term with the dar spectore of doubt haning over my head like I did last term and looks to be an interesting spring term.

The class that's got most of my attention this time around is my Senior project for WestWood in Game Art. I prestty much have 8 weeks to come up with a game idea, make the modles and art work for it and come up with short animation of simulated game play. What make it even more challenging is that I'm forced to retake my cinemetograghy class over do i coudl not keep up with the class projects and look for aid a the same time and the final for that is also a short animation as well...

On top of that ther are the few personal projects and a long time commissions that I want to get done too.

Looks like I'll be putting my dual core AMD 6000+ to the test this term as I try to spool aniamtion like mad for the next few weeks. I just wish vista didn't have to eat half a gig's worth of my system memory ! I just hope I don't cook anything in the prossess...

I wish my first journal entry here would have been a pleasent one but sadly its me venting...How original huh ?

As many of you know I went back to school to school to learn some new stuff and polish up my skills so that I can find work. Well as we all know college cost money, and by the grace of federal loans I got it....to a point. This term I found out the they only give you so much and even less if your going back to school for second degree; long story short...I got the rug pulled out from underneath me and I'm having hell of a time trying to find the $15,000+ dollars I needed to compleate my term...and it seems I can get a privat school loan to save my ass.

Anyhoo, after figting 7 weeks for more time, the online school I got to Locked out of my classes tonigth and looks like I can kiss my 3.8 gpa and my chances goodbye. I just love how you think life is finnally getting better then it bites you in the ass, bitch-slaps you and then throws you out into on-comming traffic.

Well now that "that" is out of my system I can stop spitting venom i sucked out of my wounds and continue trying to hunt for some kind of funding befor this unsceduled Hiatus putts me into a hole too deep academicly that I can't claw my way out of.
