Fucking like cats and dogs
Posted 14 years agoBits and pieces of story come into my head from time to time and I rally don't know what to make of them. Case in point is the on-going of a cat burglar and a cop who have to join forces to save the world. Part of this is inspired by an obscure comic I was collecting at one time called Cat and Mouse. I may not even go through with it fully but I have a few ideas on how I am going to do it.
One involves a white cop who is fed up with the "system" and decides to moonlight as a vigilante. He is seduced by a black lady cat burglar and is eventually captured by an Asian mad scientist who hired to the black girl to get the white guy. But as so often happens miss thief is betrayed by her employer as he wants to experiment on both of them. He forces the to fuck for their supper And eventually sedates them and removes their brains to be placed in new cloned bodies of an anthro black cat and German Shepherd. Eventually they escape and with nowhere else to go they become vigilantes, living off the crooks they bring down. And since they have few other options, they end up continue the carnal relationship they started.
Second option is similar to the other but our vigilante couple starts off as a cat and a dog and are pressed into the service of an entity that chose them because they are among the best in their fields and together they can counteract what is going to go down in the ultimate showdown between good and evil. They have to work together to take out cult after cult of the old ones to prevent their returning. And eventually they actually become a couple.

Bubble Gum Brain Fart
Posted 14 years agoAt least that's what I'm feeling as I find myself having YouTube play me all the songs of the new Owl City CD one by one. I saw a physical CD of it at Target and was curious as I picked Alice Cooper's latest "Welcome 2 My Nightmare" but I did get a digital version of Ocean Eyes and gods help me I am thinking of getting the deluxe version from Amazon along with this. I have mental cravings for such syrupy sweet nonsense every now and again. Why else would I actually purchase two CDs of Aqua?
ah well, I can always use it as stupid mall background muzak or similar situation in certain stories. Case in point I have a few ideas for a couple more stories. There is at least one more Blitz story in the work and a pair of titles for the NeoTokyo Kemono series I started. Cyberpunk is a genre I keep coming back to again and again but it's something that I have been looking into since its inception in the 80s.
Back then it was the exciting and new genre with books, and music and anime all coming out for it and games. It's fun to speculate even if for the most part I'm actually kinda glad it hasn't happened yet, because of some of the realities of it would kind of suck even as it looks like it's coming to pass. But in many ways things that I can remember seeing for the first time in my younger days stay with me. Why else do I still tolerate some of this Sonic nonsense?

Evil to those who think evil of it (rant)
Posted 14 years agoI just posted some angry words in my latest submission. I am not going to apologize for it, because certain injustices I feel are being done both in the past and now. I can't get a straight answer from my own father when my family emigrated to America from Germany and there are times I feel more into my Irish heritage than my German side but I still have some pride about being of German blood. Let me get one thing straight: I hate the Nazis! They are a blemish on the past of Germany. What they did and what they tried to do was wrong. But I am not going to hide my German side in shame because of what they did. The Catholic church killed thousands of innocent people for being witches and still espouses hate for anyone that does not get with their program. Where is the hatred and scorn for them? Hell, Hitler did a lot of what he did in the name of Catholicism. He killed gays, lesbians and Jews because he thought God wanted them dead. Christians of all denominations are as much to blame for the Holocaust as the Nazis. And yet, where is the outcry against them? Hatred is wrong no matter who does it and for why. The people who made the revised Hem-Man cartoon had to change the symbol on his chest because the Iron Cross is now offensive. WTF!!?!! That symbol has been a distinction of the German military for years to denote brave and honorable soldiers of their nation. What's next? Some group of morons will demand that the Purple Heart be no longer reference for some BS reason? I'm a fucking pagan and I look at some of the BS around here at this PC crap and wonder when are people going to take their heads out of the fucking sand and grow a fucking backbone! Life offends somebody! Fucking Deal With It!!!
It never fails
Posted 14 years agoFurry Fiesta is this weekend. I fly down Thursday. I took off form work from Wednesday to Wednesday so I would have a full day to prep and enough time after to recuperate. But right now I'm a bundle of nerves. So much that could go wrong, so much anticipation...

If you're wonder what the heck the title of this journal means, click here for a video to explain.
Now onto my reason for posting such an odd title. It's frigging freezing here in Philly. I wouldn't mind if I got see some snow out of the deal but we're starting to go into the deep freeze before Yule and no snow so yiff it! Kodyax and I are going tropical for Christmas or as we celebrate it in the old time religion style: Yule. Kody is doing two stories one that is loosely based on what we think is the best, most open and mind blowing setting that was EVER made for the game of D&D. I'll give you a hint, there's a link in here for it somewheres. He's also got a sequel to his first Tiki Island story that he started while we were at Fur Fright. Me? Well, the gang from Lust in the Jungle get their sequel. I'm not going to say the title yet but it's coming along at an OK pace. Now as a treat for all those that stayed with me I have more links below of Bette Midler and Jimmy Buffet singing this same song and that's how I'll leave you this time.

Gotham Wolf
Posted 15 years agoI was having a conversation with the son of my father's youngest brother today about an idea for what is really fan fiction and a scenario I would love to run for any and all local furs: The Penguin has secretly taken over a bio-chemical research facility of WayneTech and has been making human-animal hybrids for his underground fighting arenas and prostitution rings. He has over 100 of them living in the sewers of Gotham completely dependent on him for their livelihood. Into this picture ultimately comes the Batman himself. He "adopts" a wolf man as his agent as a test to see if these people can be trusted to live with humans in peace and ultimately the answer to this question is a resounding YES. Which puts Bruce Wayne aka the Batman in a bit of a moral quandary. These hundreds of persons of the furry persuasion were created illegally using his company, but they are no more a danger than many other aspects of human society. What is he to do?
Attention all Moon Shadow fans
Posted 15 years agoFans of my Moon Shadow series will be happy to know that Issue #4 is in the process of being typed up and should be posted sometime before Thanksgiving. Back issues of this series are in my gallery for your perusal. I thank you for reading.
Upcoming stories
Posted 15 years agoUnless Misfit Monsters gets here very soon I am going to be starting Moon Shadow #4 and Wide World of Weird #2 very soon and of those tow WWW I have located the notebook the first story was detailed in so I can begin Episode #2: Bitter Cold Warrior(s), I'm debating myself on the title but it takes place in Russia and there will be some weird things going on to be sure. Moon Shadow #4 will begin when I locate the notebook #3 is in. But when it begins #4 will be entitled: "For the Birds" or "Thanks Grieving" and will be a landmark for me because it ill revolve around a Holiday I have never written about and that is Thanksgiving. This mostly because as much as I love Halloween/Samhain I hate Thanksgiving which has a lot of emotional baggage for me. But I have a really good idea on what paces to put Moon Shadow through so this should be fun to write.
A Weird New World
Posted 15 years agoOK, for whatever odd reason I have been getting Barsoom on the brain lately Partly because I am reading over the Savage Worlds campaign book but also because there is so much potential here it ain't funny. I'm also thinking of making it as furry as possible. You'll see the result of this soon more than likely but let's just say I'm pretty F'ed up in the head and you're all coming along for the ride with me. I promise to make the trip worth your while though...
Gone Out West
Posted 15 years agoOK, as a testimony to my insanity I now have three Western style stories put up among my two accounts. I think I might be truly insane now. Or I'm just trying out a new form of story telling that's being ignored because who gives a flying crap about writing around here anyway?
This is going to be a new trend for a bit as I know I had fun telling these stories. I just hope I can get enough of them to sell as a compilation of some sort. Or am I just barking into the wind as usual?

Savage Furry Worlds
Posted 15 years agoThis journal/blog is going to be simulcated as it were on both Kodya and Phelan Mahoney for maximum exposure. What's happening is this: I just got the Explorer Edition of Savage Worlds and it's looking like a pretty good system all things considered. I've played 2 editions of D&D, Iron Claw, Champions, Mutants and Masterminds and other systems for pen and paper role playing. I will not say that Savage Worlds is the best but it is one of the more comprehensive attempts at a universal system that I find that I agree with for the most part. The game assumes humans for the most part but I know there are books out there for a variety of types.
This is something I want to try as a GM or player. No it's not furry but I am looking for ways to make it furry. Character creation is relatively easy and simple and the combat looks simple and deadly enough that it could be fun. I am looking into getting some setting books to see what I can find and some examples of what I could do. Question is though: Who would play it with me? I both do and do not want to try it out with the non-furry that lives with me. Would anyone in Philly want to try out this experiment with me?

Stuff I'm working on
Posted 15 years agoArtists never really get a respite. But for those interested, here is a short list of stuff I intend to actually finish before I go to Fur Fright:
Something to go along with this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4490819/
Moon Shadow Issue #3: Zombie Damned
Wide World of Weird Episode #1: Mecha-Kaiju Island
I'll get back to Clock Striking when I find the notebook I was writing it in. Most of the stories I post here start as hand written tales in notebooks then they become typed up Microsoft Word files and then they get posted on here. It's a process

Posted 15 years agoOK, yahoo mail is getting on my nerve For the past couple of days I clean my inbox of stuff I don't want to look at and then when I click pieces of email I do want to read, what do I get? The shit I just deleted! What the Fuck is going on!?!
Modern Pulp Fantasy Inspiration.
Posted 15 years agoSomething has come over me as of late. I was reading over ReDaDillo's Lenny Elfkhound book and some of that stuck with me for some odd reason. Now I find myself looking over my d20 Modern books for a few ideas of what to do and how to go with a storyline I came up with in my head. Some of the elements of Lenny will be repeated, the fact the main character is a globe trotter looking for adventure. Among other things, the idea is going to combine elements of the X-Files with "Reality TV" most notably show like "Ghost Hunter" and "UFO Hunter" as well as a lot of horror, sci-fi and modern fantasy. The producers of the show are out to prove that all this supernatural nonsense is total bunk and they send in the dog to various places to prove that there is a perfectly logical explanation for all of it, but the host is more like Fox Mulder in that he keeps an open mind and is of the opinion that not everything here is totally being hoaxed but some of it might be real. And in the scenarios he gets thrown into, a lot of what his producers want him to expose as total bunk is very very real.
Personal Discovery
Posted 15 years agoOK, normally I am not one to go gushing on a particular kind of animal but I did a google search on Japanese dog breed that I was not previously aware of that I really like. The breed is called Kai Ken or Tora Inu which translated to English apparently means "Tiger Dog" I know Inu is a Japanese word meaning dog. I have been writing stories of tiger dogs and tiger wolves for years and never knew the Japanese had something like this. But now I have something else to admire the Japanese for. The reason I was looking up Japanese dog breeds is I wanted to make a bitch Shinto priestess for an upcoming story and didn't want to make her an Akita. Oh the things you find when doing your homework...
This Saturday! An event 38 years in the making!
Posted 15 years agoSounds impressive doesn't it? Yes, on July 31, 1972 in bowels of that wretched city of Philadelphia a great and terrible evil was unleashed upon the world. A baby boy destined to become a teller of strange and sometimes unbelievable tales. In other words:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!
Sad Songs Says So Much
Posted 15 years agoIt's amazing what you find on the crap shelves at your local walmart. I bought a best of compilation of Devo and Don McLean for $5 a piece and I'm listening to the Don McLean CD now on my iTunes. At least two songs on there always grab me and make me very emotional. The first is "And I Love You So" which is a touching love song except I have no lover and it pains me because of it. The only one I can sing that to in my life right now is my Goddess whom I know loves me even if it's in a weird way. The other is "Vincent" also called Starry Night which talks of suicide and how it seems like someone's only out. God and Goddess know I've considered it but I'm too stubborn to go through with it. There are songs on here that I don't recognize but that's cool.
Anthrocon was OK, met a few people and got some neat prints and shirts but couldn't end up commissioning any work. Ah well, I just sent a payment to Boston for a yiff commission from someone I admire on here. I'm going to save up more money for Fur Fright I hope and spend it better.

My Life in the Toilet
Posted 15 years agoFor one stinking year I would like to have things be normal when I go to Antrhocon. But as usual there has to some kind of freaking blow up just before I go Case in point: I will have to toss out my bed and rip apart the frame before I board the train on Thursday and pay for the rest of the weekend in Pittsburgh all because of bed bugs. My landlord is yelling at me, my room mate is yelling at me. Which means when I come back to Philly from Pittsburgh I will have to get futon so I have a bed and until then, I have nothing to sleep on except the ground. I have an artist that sent me a note I'm afraid to open but I will find some way to get all this paid for. A part of me wants to just get a heart attack and die in my sleep. Either that or see if there was a plan of action in Simon and Garfunkel's "A Most Peculiar Man" but I don't want to contemplate this right now.
Kodyax is On Hiatus for awhile
Posted 15 years agoOK he's working his non-existent bear tail off to get on here but Kodyax is experiencing technical difficulties. Until they get fixed he can access his sofurry account and that's it. I'll post a link to anything new he puts up until he can start posting again here. And he is working on something, I can tell you that. Specifically #5 in the Anarchy City series and is it gonna be a doozy!
Pen and Paper Game Design Highly Lows
Posted 15 years agoI really should be in bed sleeping but I want to get down some thoughts before they become lost in my muddled mind. I spent I don't know how many hours tonight designing seven monsters for the Pathfinder RPG that will eventually go up on the database. This after I posted eight new races and a variant druid class.
Cats have always been popular, not that I should be complaining as I chase pussy myself...but I have yet to see much I really like in terms of cat races. So yeah, like everybody else I made cat races, three of them in fact, and posted them to the database for inclusion. I can't wait for the reaction.
I also did three monkey races a race for most rodents and one for armadillos. Again there is a part of me that just can't wait to see what the reaction will be. The variant druid class I did ripped out something of a sacred cow for the class that I partially had a problem with and replaced with a few things to make a Shinto Priest class. I can't wait to see the emails I'll be getting.
The monsters are still siting in a notebook waiting to be typed up. I almost have a sea creature them to them. There should be quite a reaction to them when they get posted to the database I'm sure. Sometimes I have so much creativity that I feel like I'm ready to burst.

So We Open Up A Quarrel...
Posted 15 years agoParts of my mind is continually flip flopping between various stages of science fantasy. I'm thinking about steam punk, super heroes, bits of space opera...the list just goes on and on and on. I'm thinking about various ways of redoing SpellJammer for Pathfinder. Well, maybe not a complete redux of SJ but taking the idea of that setting and mixing in a lot of things judiciously. Among other things, mix the following:
Aerial Adventures from Goodman Games
All the dinosaurs of Broncosaurus Rex from Goodman Games
Airships from Bastion Press
Eberron from Wizards of the Coast (3.5 Ed version)
Iron Kingdoms from Privateer Press
Iron/Jade Claw from Sanguine productions
Pathfinder RPG from Paizo Publishing
Book of Secrets from Cubicle 7 and Adamant Entertainment
Bit and pieces from everything put out by 4 Winds Publishing
Environmental books from Wizards of the Coast, Bastion Press, Goodman Games (Wanderer's Guild) and Necromancer Games
Kobold Quarterly
What do you get?
Part of me is thinking of doing this as a kind Steam Punk Moebius. Sonic is dead or has been roboticized and so has much of the other freedom fighters. Or they are competition for the the PCs. Either way I'm keeping Robotnik as a kind of necromantic alchemist with legions of robotic zombies at his command. The good doctor himself is an Iron Lich and was the LAST human before he committed suicide as part of attaining his current form.
Or I could just be insane.

Just a quick note
Posted 15 years agohttp://www.furaffinity.net/user/kodyax/ This guy has a new story out. Another story about a straight bear has been posted.
OK, I'm convicned
Posted 15 years agoAOL is retarded. Last night it wouldn't let me sign on with a password I have been using practically from the time I created the one sub account. I'm already in the process of switching some of the email addresses I have on file with some sites I do regular business with to my gmail account. One of them in any case. Eventually I need to swap out my FA account from the one aol to the one gmail account. But to do that I need to remember my password.
One headache down but more to come
Posted 15 years agoOK, now that pre-registration for Anthrocon is done and out of the way, Praise the Morrigan, I can concentrate on other matters. Like getting a game set up for advertising in the AC conbook. But just to make sure I didn't get too full of myself I find that I goofed again plugging in the security code for my credit card for something I want.
Now I am like a lot of other furs in our little fandom in that I am a big man. I generally wear a size 3XL or 4XL depending on the cut. So any site that offers shirts and pants for my over sized frame and isn't too egregious about the price to make things that will fit me gets my repeat business when I can remember and afford it.
Case in point is www.wickedjester.com which is not a furry clothing store but it does have clothing that fits my attitude and caters to my big frame. I have bought shirts from them in the past and they are great. But my credit card is so well used that the number of the security code is a little hard to read. Come to think of it this is also why the card would reject my on-line attempts to register for AC as well, but I digress.
So now I have hopefully fixed the other problem and the shirts will be bought and paid for in no time. Yeah, there are times I am just that easy to please. Now how to word my proposal to AC and get a mini campaign of Pathfinder going....
