2023 Update!

So the first few months (and last few months of 2022) have been a bit of a head scratcher in terms of - who are good people - and - who are not -
Those in the loop might understand, those out of it, well, please treat everyone with respect where you can, and if stuff doesn't work out - oh well! move on.
That aside, the outreach of amazing and fabulous people that support each other and do more to make people grow and support each other has been amazing! And that's just observations outside of myself! You know who you are, thank you for supporting me and my friends, you are allowed an extra amazing cookie!
Now to business! The Patreon remains active and welcome to all new supporters, even at smol values, and commissions are pretty much always open within reason if ya want doodles dun! I'm super flexible to what is wanted and price amounts, and always open to discuss WIPs to ensure YOU get what YOU want! BlaBla aside its true! You will always get a human and customised piece of art that will be tweaked to how you want it with me! Communication is king! Also comment 'derp' if ya know what year its meant to be!
Otherwise, some changes are coming in terms of where I pose and am seen. Inkblot--art is a fresh and new site with allot of promise, and once some lil hiccups are sorted I will be pushing more there. And also over on Weasyl where I do have a rather empty legacy account, does show promise to a more safe and secure place for creators to be!

However it has been rather quiet and needs a bit of a mixup and rework, and so I'm looking to try figure out what people may or may not want if they were to support me on Patreon.
I have thought over and searched far and wide to look for ideas and inspiration for possible benefits and rewards for it all. But I REALLY NEED you peeps to provide feedback and advice on what you would like to see!

Celebrate yourself and the hard steps you have taken, and Celebrate the goals and achievements that you alone have made. You owe that to you.

Being an Artist is painful....
Posted 3 years agoBeing an Artist is painful for many reasons.
Right now, I'm succumbing to the 'numbers' side of it all. The pain that it is to work so hard for hours and hours to make a image, with different effect and lighting and tweaks, to upload it, and a month later you see an artist more than triple the interactive of an image in a post made a few hours ago, with something that must have taken about 1 hour to make.
I don't mean any ill will to anyone out there that can be successful with their art, its a VERY harsh and at times competitive world out there, especially within the art community. But, am I doing something wrong? Have I already done something wrong I am not aware of? I just feel like in this sink or swim area of creative recognition, someone has tied bricks to my feet...
I want to do good. I want to do much better. But I have no instruction or influence on HOW to do better. Or even if its worth it. I see many others grow and thrive, and whilst its fantastic to see them do so, I kinda feel like I'm not doing the same, and I don't know or understand why...
Blurb over, noise made, critique on me to help me grow, if this is even read.
Thanks for putting up with me.

Just had a random few thoughts, and curious how you guys and gals work, with regards to the image resolution you draw at...
At current I generally draw at 3000 x 3000 pixels and have the DPI set to 300, it makes the file large but its always easier to scale down than it is to scale up.
But I wonder what you work at? Do you work larger or smaller with resolution? And do you work with small fine brushes and pens, or work with bigger ones? Or is there some other method to the art madness that you take!
Be interesting to see how you doodle, and may try some different bits myself 0=

I hope you all had a happy and safe holiday period =] I want to fist express my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to you all for all the support and encouragement that you have provided to me over the last year, as it has allowed me to express my creative side in many different ways and expand my knowledge with art, and I hope you all have enjoyed the content I have made and that you will continue to do so! :D
Now, moving into the new year, more art is always on the way through typical art requests, the odd trade here and there, the gifts, commissions and also through my Patreon, so keep yer peepers peeled for the new doodles!

Posted 5 years agoHeyo peeps! Seeing as its the merry month of October, I will be open for the Kinktober list made by Arcana for cheap arts!
Here's how it works! Reply to my comment with the number of the day you want, and if its still available - pick 1 of the 3 options for that day! Each piece will cost a KoFi on my KoFi account which is £4 (around $5 USD) and you will then get a neat sketch, which for an additional KoFi can be rough coloured, so would look like this of the theme. Multiple characters can be included if the subject warrants it (ie Threeways) but will be cropped to show the theme and enough of the characters, or be floating parts like hands or peen. If you want an uncropped image with another character, it will be another KoFi essentially working out a a KoFi per character, same if wanting it coloured.
These won't necessarily be drawn on the day of the month but will be completed this month. I will note you and go through the details once picked! Depending how this goes some days may reopen if ya didn't get the one you wanted

Posted 6 years agoSo the nostalgic part of me has been going over all the physical art materials that I have, and makes me miss the good old days of drawing my hand, using ink and pencil to colour, and even working with paint.
It's just the convenience of working digital is, well, convenient!

Winter 2018 Update! ART STREAMS!
Posted 7 years agoSO! If you have been stalking around my page long or new enough you should see that some art has oozed out of me!
To this I would like to give full credit to the recent folk that have somehow wandered into my Live Art Streams and ended up getting FREE Sketch requests from me during said stream!
Its a good way for me to learn more about consistent digital art styles and also to help break my usual routine of drawing by being challenged by the unknown! So from me, THANK YOU ALL! To those that have supported me from the beginning and up to now!
I hope to produce more art and push myself outside of my usual comfort bubble with the random art streams, and if you wish to be part of the magic and also potentially become a willing victim of mine, please feel free to follow me at the Picarto link below, and be sure to share with yer friends that may want a quick sketch up of their character! :D

So this is kinda evidence that I'm not ded and trying to get back into drawing (again!).
But also want to give special thanks to all of you that do stick by, and also to a very close friend -->

We have know each other for over 15 years now, and despite everything she keep me drawing, so that's why there is allot of art of her character! She asks and I'm happy to draw, as its the one main thing that keeps me at it, is using what talent I have to make others happy, and that is the main reason why I do draw, for me and everyone else so that they can enjoy the crap I put onto paper!
So hopefully I'll upload art more regularly and less of a spam attack, and see how it all goes! Thanks again all!

This is all based on wanting to know how you all make you magic happen, and spill your creativity onto the medium of your choice!
Do you work traditionally? Or digitally? OR BOTH!? And what do you use!?!? =D
I have recently been floating around many different methods, as I always used Photoshop for digital art, and now really find its a tool that does allot of things well, but doesn't really excel at anything specifically, for example inking or doing lineart, which other programs do really well.
So I'm curious how you start and the journey to finishing your creation! Let loose your secrets! =p
This is all based on wanting to know how you all make you magic happen, and spill your creativity onto the medium of your choice!

I am attempting to make a revival back into the art and drawing scene, and hope to keep the momentum going and continue to create lovely pics for you all to enjoy! =D
I may also go for commisions and trades and what not, depending on how things roll out. Gonna try something different for them YCH pieces that seem oh so popular!

Posted 12 years agoOh dear my furry friends! The powers that be (the FA admins) have after 3 years of it being up have decided that my original avatar is evil!
Apparently it was classed as being too dangerous as my induce seizures. If you wish to see the animated avatar in question, follow zee below link...

SO! With this now not being appropriate, I feel it is my duty to take this opportunity to make a new animated avatar! This is where you guys come in! I request some inspiration on what to make for my animated avatar, and in return depending on who's idea I pick, will receive an animated avatar in return for FREE!!
So for the avatar it, a few things it needs to be, being 100x100 pixels, under under 50 KB, so nothing too insane! And of course must meet the rules and regs for the site (bla!) So get ta thinkin! Post ideas here in the journal please peoples! =]
