Posted 8 years agoI know I made a bit of a fuss back 3 years ago, and honestly I still feel this site to be very unsafe, but in light of recent events I have no choice but to come back here, there is more exposure here, I've got 500 people following me expecting something, and I get more business when I upload more here.
It's also a bit selfish of me to only use this place as a means to get commissions, but lately it's been increasingly hard to enjoy the holidays on just 7.25 an hour.
I'm sorry if I upset anybody by leaving, I'm not dead, you can in fact find me on multiple sites nowadays. For now however, Furaffinity will be top priority when it comes to uploading furry art. I do have a patreon you can all check out, but whatever I upload there, I'll put here after a day or two. I'm even lifting my restriction on NSFW art, I was so adamant against it back in the day, but nowadays it's just no big deal for me, so what if there's a dick on that dog, ya know?
Anyway, enough ranting, I'll do a couple uploads of some of my better pics first after this, maybe you can also consider my patreon to pull me out of a dishpit.

If you've ever wanted me to draw something for ya, from now until February 28th, I will be doing my last commission run for furaffinity! After that, you will no longer be able to find me here. Commissions will only be available on deviantart, and weasyl afterwords.
Right now they are still name your own price commissions, minimum for SFW pics is $15, minimum for NSFW pics is $25! Just note me for further details.

Beginning my move and final thoughts.
Posted 11 years agoI've been going through some small steps to begin my move, been saving all of the images I collected in my message box, and even going through my favorites to save them. Sort of removing temptation as it were. Once I've finished going through my favorites, the next part is to go through my own submissions, I'm going to pick the pictures I really liked, while ignoring the ones that I feel could of been much much better. The third step I'm taking is to draw up my own redirect image for commissions and such, this will be my way of convincing people to e-mail me instead of sending me a note over FA, gmail is pretty darn good as you can attach reference images to whatever you want to see me draw. The image I will use will hopefully convince you to look at my gallery on weasyl/tumblr/deviantart whenever I finish a commission so you can look at it and say: "Hey, I like this, I'll save it to my computer. :3" After about a month, I will be gone from furaffinity, I'm sure if you're a real fan of my work, you won't let this stop you from following my work, I'm still very much online, just at a different place now and I highly urge you to watch me on those sites.
Now... I'm going to give you all my final thoughts on this while trying to keep this as civil as I possibly can. I've seen both sides of the arguments being made here, from those that defend, and from those that accuse. There are a lot of things that are not right from either side and I could honestly chalk up one as being foolishly naive and stupid at the time, while the other was just plain manipulative and evil who's actions belittle their defense. Honestly though, I am not going any further than that as I've already got my own opinions on the matter. I'd rather just list down OTHER reasons why I am not sticking around.
Firstly, I do not like the management, it has proven to be quite incompetent with how to run a website, frequent black outs that last for days, the hiring of questionable staff, failure to update the site plus the removal of those who were going to do so, and the general hostile attitude it has. This is the kind of stuff I see on DA, and it's one reason why I am not so active there. I can understand that with running a huge website like this can be a royal pain in the ass, but a lot of this stuff could of been avoided if they had only had the brains to foreseen the consequences of their actions, both good and bad.
Adding to that, my second reason for wanting to leave is because of guys like Angry Joe, Jirard the Completionist, Channel Awesome, Dapshow, and the Valve Corporation. I've got connections to them, but through me they could have connections to all of this. I love those guys too much to have this be connected to them, and to want to sever ties with me because of this. There is a lot of nasty stuff here, and again... I don't want that shit to come around and bite them on the ass just because they are friends with me. As far as I can tell, they tolerate what I am, I don't want to see how far that limit can be pushed.
The next reason... is the community. Frankly... any furry community is a mess, but it seems to be more prominent here more so than anywhere else. I've had my fair share of creepy comments, people who just fave the more fetish related stuff, that's pretty fucking standard and I tolerate it. However, recently I've been seeing a lot more of the bad side of the people here who just want to be noticed and admired by the popular crowd, people acting out against others who just want to leave, people drawing art relating to the recent drama for the sake of flame baiting, awful comments, awful journals, and just a severe lack of empathy/interest in seeing both sides of the story. It's people at their worst, I don't have any regrets for distancing myself from that.
Last, there are just better places to settle down in. Let me ask you this, how many of you are proud enough to share your furaffinity address with others? Personally I just tell others "Don't bother with my FA stuff, you wouldn't like it." and leave it at that. I'd rather have the opportunity to show off more professional sites that can be managed easier and show my more professional stuff. Deviantart is a great site to show off work, so long as you completely control what you put up there, while being mindful of how you act. Tumblr can act as a blog for stuff you wish to share with friends, or as a way to archive the work you have done through multiple blogs. While Weasyl has a lot of similarities to FA, you can customize your page, organize photos, and it's being updated constantly with user feedback. It's not perfect and is lacking a lot of features that FA had that I normally liked, but it's something that I can easily settle down in. I kinda wish it included the fetish search (yes I'm a sleeze...), but I feel like it's unnecessary in the end, and became way too much of a distraction at times.
I will admit that I did enjoy most of my time here, but I can't linger here any longer. I'm sorry if you feel like my decision to leave is an unwise one, but my mind is set. Thank you all for sharing your art, adding my art to your favorites, sharing your comments, watching me over the years, and even buying commissions from me. You can find me on the sites below! This place just astounds me...
Posted 11 years agoEvery day here just makes me want to leave more and more, and seeing how people react to all of this just makes me think either...
A. They do not understand the importance of the situation at hand.
B. They do not do research about these things to better understand what is going on, and make baseless assumptions that only serve to make them look ignorant.
C. They all want to be seen as good in the eyes of somebody they feel is superior to them when in the real world that person is a complete nobody.
D. They want nothing more than attention, and recent events is a perfect outlet.
I was going to link one of Shenanigans' pictures that he recently did here, but honestly, I don't want that guy getting any more attention than he's already got, he doesn't deserve it. People who use another person's pain, and suffering to their advantage are nothing more than a pile of scum that unfortunately has a voice, and a drawing hand.
I'm really noticing a huge lack of empathy for others as of lately, lots of people making excuses, people siting off baseless facts and assuming things that aren't true in the face of real evidence, people blaming the victim, and the people who are using this to their advantage in order to get onto the staff's good side. It's astounding what people will say! I'm bumping up my leave to within this month, this community has gotten to be way too toxic for my liking, and I'm not just talking about the people in charge. Those who are leaving are the smart ones, they deserve better than... this. *Gestures to all of FA*.
For those who are staying, I offer this advice
1. If you chose to stay out of the drama fires, do not make a picture showing how much you don't care! You will only draw more attention to the drama, and bring more trouble down upon yourself. Journals count as well. Those that dance in the fire willingly can burn.
2. Do more research. A lot of people have been throwing out random facts and thinking they understand the law in order to defend what evidence is already there. Please for the love of Christ, do your fucking research before you speak, and do so logically.
3. Don't begrudge others for leaving. Seriously, those people honestly feel like something is clearly wrong with the website, and that has convinced them to leave. Try to understand how they feel about the current situation, it'll make things a lot easier.
4. Come to your own conclusion and stand by it, However you should be open to other ideas and possibilities. Be smart about what you do online, things have changed here, you've got to make a decision.
5. If you're going to make a picture about how much you hate the drama, be prepared for the consequences! My friend Ransom was censored unfairly because he spoke out, not telling you NOT to do this, just understand that these things will have a lot of baggage to deal with.
6. DO NOT STAY ON JUST ONE WEBSITE AND RELY UPON YOUR POPULARITY!! Seriously, I am by no means popular, and yet I've got connections to Angry Joe, Valve, The Completionist, Channel Awesome, and by proxy the Polaris Network. I wouldn't of gotten this many connections if I just stayed under the Furaffinity banner. Hell, I wouldn't of even had my comic published in Gothology if I just stuck to the furaffinity hidey hole. Being popular here doesn't work in the real world, you gotta branch out in some way or another. I'm not very successful either, but I am slowly moving up and making my mark here and there.
That's about it, I'll be moving most of my gallery to Weasyl shortly, anything new will be posted there, but I'll inform my watchers here when I do. I do highly urge you to reconsider joining sites like Weasyl as it's never good to have your gallery in just one place, and furaffinity is slowly becoming less and less safe for us.

IMPORTANT NEWS.
Posted 11 years agoI just saw all of the drama through Ransom's tumblr post that KD linked to me, I've got to say that this Project Phoenix is not good. The main problem is its developers, one of them is a certified sexual predator, the other is Dragoneer. I've been trying to wrap my head around this whole thing and I think I've come to the conclusion that I'm not at all comfy with letting a criminal have access to some rather sensitive codes and information at the push of a button. This is coming from a guy who likes giantess vore/stomping, and naked male furry giants mind you!

I'm not entirely comfortable with how things are being run here anymore, they are profiting off of all of us through ad-revenue, that money is going to some terrible people who do terrible things to other people and animals. So because of recent events, I'm going to try to ween myself off of furaffinity and slowly move to Weasyl. I'm not going to be completely gone from furaffinity as I still have commissions to offer, but this is fair warning for everybody who watches me as sooner or later, I will be forever gone from FA.
I highly urge anybody and everybody to read this journal, click the links, tell your friends about this, and slowly make your way off of Furaffinity.
I will also be looking into making more social media accounts so others can find me.

Commission Update, better news, update on NYOP!
Posted 11 years agoHello again everybody. Re-writing this journal for the second time today. Just wanted to update everybody on some better news. My friend just contacted me earlier to tell me what is up and what's going on. I'm happy to know he's alive, and by the end of the month I'll be receiving my commission money. I'm still severing financial ties to him however as it's best for the both of us, for me it means more financial independence, and less bugging of friends to purchase something for myself while putting him at risk for future troubles. Five dollars for between 3-5 hours of work is just not fair to me, and there is also the extra time put into inking, coloring, and possible last minute changes to the WIP sketch. I'm not trying to insult anybody here, I for one understand what it's like to see somebodies art and notice they're doing commissions, but also can't afford it. However, we artists have got to protect ourselves as well, I for one can't really afford to spend 5 hours working for just five bucks, when I've potentially got $100 waiting for me from Angry Joe himself if I finish up another comic.

Commission Update... and very bad news.
Posted 11 years agoHey everybody, it's been a bit too long since I've updated my journal, 2013 has long since past, and it was pretty eventful, had a lot of commissions, did well over 60 comics for the Angry Joe Show, and even got my own item into Team Fortress 2: http://wiki.tf2.com/wiki/Antarctic_Parka
However... I've got some really bad news. My end year goal for 2013 was set at $1000, first bit of bad news is that I did not make it given the time I had to do said commissions. End year result was $615 overall. That doesn't sound too bad, right?
Second bit of bad news, my friend who helped me gather those funds ran into quite a bit of trouble it seems. I trust my friend mind you, he helped me out quite a lot when I was in need. Right now however I can't contact him, things are potentially very dangerous for him, and that money is inaccessible to me. Again, I'm not going to demonize my friend (nor should you guys) as he has helped me out a lot in the past, we both just got very unlucky however. I am looking to see what I can do to help him out, and to see what can be salvaged.

I do actually have funds coming my way from said TF2 item mentioned earlier, but I don't get paid until the end of January, and once the item goes up on sale individually (not confined to a digital box), I only get paid the month AFTER the sales for the previous month (December's payment in January, January in February, etc...). So it's not entirely reliable and it's almost luck based in some cases.
I am looking to try to make more items for Team Fortress 2 for a chance at earning more money, but that requires a very popular vote from the steam community, and I got really lucky with the Antarctic Parka. If I am to make more stuff, I'll need a lot more support from the community around me, so expect me to plug these things if they are modeled and put up onto the steam workshop.
I've gotten my own paypal/savings account as well so there will be no middleman for either me or the buyer to go between for guaranteed payment, but this means I have to sever financial ties with my friend. Again, I don't want anybody thinking ill of him, I'm not going to get into the gritty details either, bad luck just happened, and it's time I become a big boy and do things for myself.
That's pretty much it, in a day or two I'll decide on the changes for Name Your Own Price commissions, expect a price increase, I'm sorry if any of you feel like your money was wasted from the purchase of earlier commissions, it was neither of our intentions for this to have happened. Right now I'm starting over from zero and hopeful that I can earn more than I previously did.

Posted 12 years agoJust a quick update, I've passed the $500 limit and going to $600 out of my $1000 end year goal! Because of this I will be getting a new PC shortly pending some issues with paypal! So I'm still saving up, going to hopefully get a really good webcam for the sake of livestreaming art. I would like to figure out recording software for the future since I will be running more powerful hardware and would like to try out youtubes.

So far I'm up to a solid $400 for both online funds and money in pocket! That's 2/5ths of the way to my $1000 end year goal from drawing alone! Right now though, I'm $94 away from a new custom PC that can not only play newer games, but also record and possibly stream live gaming/live art drawing in the future!

Posted 12 years agoI'm sorry, but... that bill yesterday put me over the edge in terms of troubles I've been going through, frustrations I've been keeping bottled up inside on this website, along with the fact that I was scammed and now I'm being asked to pay well over $2000 for school when I was told I wouldn't have to pay a dime.
There's also the fact that two journals ago I poured my heart out in front of everybody, and only one person bought a commission, another one showed interest but bought from somebody else. I begged for people to give me work, nobody showed any interest, I'm wondering if I was put on some blacklist or something because of my fuck up in the past, that or people just don't like my art.

I haven't had a single commission from FA in well over a year now, I'm wondering if I was put on a blacklist or something since I kinda screwed up royally with the NYOP commissions, now I gotta ask you guys, what would it take to earn your trust, and interest when it comes to commissions, because I've made 5 journals about this for half of 2012 to half of 2013, and nobody has replied or shown interest whatsoever!
I'm kinda hurt about this too since I really didn't mean for things to get out of hand, the NYOP commissions did kinda make me angry with all the low-balling I got, and my own laziness didn't help much either. I've been doing a lot of off the record stuff for misha that I haven't shown due to me not wanting it brought up on other sites, but now I'm wondering if I should of shown it anyway! Doing comics for Angry Joe isn't really eating up my time, quite the opposite really as I've got time to spare and I'm drawing one comic per week (If I don't miss a week entirely).
Again I gotta ask, what would it take to draw in interest? Should I do the Name Your Own Price commissions again, should I be a total hypocrite and draw pornography, what can I do to garner interest and be able to have some money to actually use for food and basic living? I've got nothing to do right now and it sucks! Please, help me out and I promise to do everything in my power to make sure you get something you like and enjoy from my art!
I've set new standards for myself should you commission me, you'll always see the sketch first before payment, and after payment I completely finish it up within 5 to 12 hours depending on how much details you want. I'm willing to negotiate prices based on what you think is fair, I'll be cheap and affordable while not sacrificing quality. I only ask that you guys give me a chance, don't sit and hesitate, I could really use the work!

I will say that I've got a lot of pictures people enjoyed over the years, and now I'm putting them up for sale so you can own for yourself!
