General | Posted 12 years agoWorking on a new album (or two), learning the basics of Reaper (it's Audacity only with more latency), and re-recording some old stuff of mine to see how it works in this bass/guitar/obviously-fake-drums set-up.

Yeah, hiccups will come along, but hey, the exact same thing happened with the New Deal and all of its innovative programs. General | Posted 13 years agoThey kicked a lot of ass at Coachella about 10 minutes ago. Cedric was back in hyperactive comic form, Omar was somewhat enjoying the music, Jim was Jim, and both Paul and Tony were just jamming it out like bosses. I seriously hope this is a permanent reunion. It would be fun to see both the Mars Volta and At the Drive-In playing at the same concerts. And hell, they'd probably make a great team.
Totally worth getting sleep-deprived over. My ass was not ready for what transpired over these 40 minutes. Perfect, very perfect. Hope somebody's recorded the entire concert.

General | Posted 14 years agoAnd I'm still wondering how in the hell I'm gonna pass this college semester. I got psych and writing for film done - As and Bs. But piano and newspaper - that's a toughie...and I wrote an article every week.
Also, I'm done recording the bare bones of my album for 2012. Now all I need to do is to add some fancy bass lines, some real electric guitbox, and some cheapo keyboard wailing.

Then again, midget horse Fender's paw print could be that his special talent is acting as the mascot for some shitty website whose moderation is so lax that even trolls with basic DDOS skills can take down this site for weeks on end.
