Year End! And welcoming in 2016! (And some statistics!)
Posted 10 years agoNow that FA is finally out of read-only mode, I wanted to submit a little journal stating that I'm super excited for a new year! It's fun to look back at my time here on FA and see how I've done things on here. I really would like to start drawing again, so one of my goals coming up is to at least draw one thing a week at the moment. Even if its something fairly minor. Might think of getting another tablet at some point. I've a cheap one I got like 10 years ago or so. But it has some compatibility and feature issues.
Anyway! Onto some fun facts about my stay here on FA.
1) I've been allowing Submissions of the people I follow just stack, as I'm curious how many I get over time. The very first image I started with (that hasn't been deleted by the user) was back in August of 2006 was this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/175356/
2)The final number of submissions that I've 'collected' so far as of the point where I started in 2006 to the end of this year is 439,346! That's a good chunk right there.

Elliot's Spring Gathering
Posted 10 years agoI'm debating whether I want to try and make it to this or not. I'm super tempted to. Though probably would only go down for one day if I did. Unless there was a fair bit more to do. :p Been a while since I've been to an Elliot's event. Curious to see who else may be going.

The past year...

After a while last year of not cleaning up the picture submissions, I wanted to see just how many I would collect...Well, suffice to say, it's a lot!! Hehe. Final tally, as midnight struck, I currently had 41,293 submissions by people that I'm watching. Hehe. That's a lot of freaking art! :p Granted, I'm watching a hell of a lot of people. Just to give a few cudos...

Megaplex recap (A bit late...)
Posted 16 years agoWell, hell. I completely forgot that I never put a journal up here talking about my trip to Megaplex. I'm not going to spend a whole long time on it because it's not really necessary. I had a blast though! I wish I could have done more there. I really really wish I had a suit there. But perhaps next time. I'm planning on getting something done by furloween, definitely.
Wow. I've just been so busy lately to talk about it. I saw some familiar faces, some not so familiar. I saw some awesome panels being done. I saw some awesome shows and I very much enjoyed dancing for about 4.5 hours on Saturday night. That was a lot of fun. I was planning on calling it quits at 5, but by the time 4:30 came by, I was just so exhausted. I was tempted to stay up the whole night, and if I didn't have to drive home later on Sunday, which is a two hour trip, then I probably would have. But I needed to get 'some' sleep.
Those I was rooming with were awesome. I can't say enough how nice it was to meet you all! It was awesome!
Also, it was really really awesome to finally meet Calafin and Naketa. I've seen those two in pictures and vids for a long while now, but never got the chance to meet them until then. It's nice to meet more cetaceans around. There's not nearly enough of us! :p
Overall, I had a great time. I hope to save up a bit more money for next year. My funds were a bit limited, but I had enough to pay for a couple cool commissions. I'm definitely happy about that!
Alright. Well, that's all for now. If I think of something else to put in here, I'll make sure to edit this. :)

I haven't been able to focus on a specific design that I like. Though, I've seen some good ideas on the Furaffinity forums and whatnot. But otherwise, just look for my badge name. And I'll likely have some kind of dolphin stuff on me. I'll probably be one of the only 'phins there. So that should hopefully point me out a bit. heh.
Will you be dressed for the Megaplex theme?
Not exactly, no. :p I don't quite like this years theme as much as I did for last year's one. :p Come on...superheros and villains were cool. :p
Will you be going to FunSpot?
Maybe maybe not. I went there for half the day going to Elliot's Spring Gathering. So, unless I have nothing better to do, I probably won't. But if I'm convinced to go, I probably will. Go-carts are still go-carts. And they're cool!
Are you looking forward to BBF being there?

My birthday!!!! Turning 25!!!!!
Posted 16 years agoWow. How time goes by so fast. It's now officially my birthday. heh. I'm not sure whether to be happy or sad that I'm already 25. Time really does just go by way too quickly. But I'll be enjoying doing a whole bunch of nothing! Hehe. Though, I'm tempted to go to the springs or watch a movie with some friends. I'm not quite sure. But I'll see.

Elliott's Spring Gathering 2009 in review. :)
Posted 16 years agoWell, the trip there was definitely an enjoyable one! Lot's of awesome things that went on. Lots of awesome furs that I got to meet and say hello to! I had a lot of fun there. To those who couldn't make it, you should have been there. Go-carting most of Friday as well as indoor blacklight mini-golf was very fun! But we also got to see Avenue Q LIVE! It was freaking awesome! Saturday, I spent most of the day in a fursuit head construction tutorial class. I realized how freaking hard it is to mold and sculpt foam....yeesh! :p I got the basic head done. I just need to refine it and build onto it a bit. I'm going to try and get it done for use for Megaplex. But I may try another attempt at it using different methods and materials too. It's hard to model a suit for a dolphin! :p
I was very very happy to see so many awesome artists there. Here's some of those I met and talked to a bit:
Scappo Glad to have met you! Great talking to ya. And it turns out I didn't have you on my extensive watch list. Now you are though. :)
painteddog and likeshine Both of you do such awesome stuff. I seriously wanted to buy something from you. But maybe I'll see about something when I see hopefully both of you again at Megaplex later on in July. You should make some dolphin sculpture stuffs! :p

Kaji It was truly amazing to meet both of you. I know I was definitely happy to get some prints that you both had in the portfolio. I'm still amazed at seeing the amazing stuff that you do. If I had a bit more time, I seriously would have commissioned at least one of you for a sketch. But unfortunately, I had to be going Saturday afternoon seeing as I work in the morning. I'm glad you both made a trip all the way down here for this event! I hope it was well worth it!
