Hey folks! I'm back from vacation~

My queue has been adjusted to reflect two big changes. One, more limited slots, allowing me to do more animation work. And two, from today onward, non-animation commissions placed will have a guaranteed 30 day turnaround time. This way, even though I'm taking on fewer commissions at once, they'll be turned out at a faster rate. :>

Animated commissions will be held to either a 60 or 90 day turnaround time, based on the complexity of the animation. ^^ You can see updated info on that in my commissions tab!

It'll be a bit before I have all my sites properly caught up with these changes but wanted to start here. :D

So I thought I was going to be part-time.
Turns out I'm full time!

It's me, your new favorite grocery store worker, lol.

Now I'm doing my best to adjust to being in a job that's Quite A Bit more physical than what I've been doing since 2020 (re: online school, art at my computer), but it's definitely kicking my butt and some days I'll probably be too outright sore and exhausted to draw, at least in this first month.

So in doing my yearly price update, I factored in how much less time I'll have, and I've decided to keep the queue limited to three slots, at least for now. I restructured the website a bit too, accommodating for the recent style update which merges my Default and Comic styles down to one. I'm naming it "Natural" to give it some distinction. Hey folks! I've been meaning to consolidate my Comic and Default styles into a nice blend between them for a while.... I'm going to finish current commissions and close for now while I forge the style lol. My Default has been creeping closer to Comic for a while so it's honestly about time. Expecting to reopen in January 2025 with updated work!

Hey folks, I feel like I should be a bit open about why things have been so sluggish here.

Since the U.S. election, I've unfortunately found a couple of family members to be a lot more anti-trans than I had originally thought. And that has resulted in some.... very painful discussions that have ended pretty unresolved. I've been kind of unpacking it throughout the month, and reflecting on previous interactions I've had with those family members, comments that were made about me, or my books, or other people even.

Without getting too into it, I'm just having a bit of a hard time adjusting to the climate we're in. I'm looking for retail work to try and help support my mother better than I can with commissions, and....I'm planning on pausing in-person events like conventions, because things are just.... weird right now. Like as another example, the DinoToons books seem to have been included in Walmart's purge of LGBTQ+ inclusive products from third party sellers earlier this week. That's a bit disheartening.

Perhaps needless to say, it's been uncommonly hard to keep my head down and work recently. I'm still getting stuff out, just much slower than usual. I'm struggling to focus and I'm worried about my future, and the futures of my friends. Hoping that I'm able to just get back into gear as time continues on.

Thanksgiving is tomorrow here in the U.S., and my mom and I are gonna have a quiet dinner just the two of us.

Hey folks! October 1st I'll be enrolled in Marshall Vandruff's Perspective Course via Proko. I don't know yet exactly how much of my time it'll take up, but to be safe, I'm going to lower my commission slots to 5. I'll probably always be open for icons (they're super quick!) and I'll be putting out smaller piece commissions and perhaps YCHs to help cover things like uh, photoshop LOL. But after I finish the batch I've been on for a bit, I may have periods of being closed more until I've completed the course. I know it'll really help me improve, and I want to give it as much time and attention as I can!<3
