ohkay so i decided to quit smoking on new years and i've stuck with it and havn't had one cigarette since then not even one drag.

the first day i was furious the entire time and my not give a fuck was turned all the way upto 11 thankfully i have a job where i can scream at the very top of my lungs, hit alotta shit with a hammer, set shit on fire, and make sparks, grind, destroy, and vent and everyone will think i'm just doing my job.

the following days were easier and easier until it wasn't really on my mind 100% of the time

now time to show my stance on all the proposed rumors:

improved sense of smell and taste:
not even slightly :/ i have always had a poor sense of smell and taste (ironic for being a dog i know) and i've given room for a gradual improvement but tests and exoerimants i've self conducted say neither have improved and i havn't noticed an improvement (ask any of my friends that have seen me eat how freakishly fast i eat without trying)

better breathing:
Nope again, i am going to credit this to being an athlete in school a mile above sea level because now i'm at sea level and i notice no difference at sea level with my breathing or oxygen intake.

increase in energy:
yeah i'd say at this point i have too much energy to the point where i have trouble sleeping most nights :x it really gets to be a bother and apparently i have moderate insomnia that was dormant due to my smoking because the moment i stopped smoking i started having serious trouble wiith it again

More money:
sweet jesus yes i was spending close to $300 a month on cigarettes ad i do notice a difference in the amount of money i have. i have noticed i have more coin than normal inbetween paychecks

No cancer:
I havn't gotten cancer so i guess that's a plus but then again everything gives you cancer soi barely count that

it wasn't as bad as i though normally the first thing in the ,morning before peeing or eating would be a cigarette typically the strongest urge

most of you know that deep down inside im a fat kid and when i eat i decvour and afterwards there's nothing like having a cigarette (it's nearly as goos as having yer penis sucked on) but it wasn't that bad to resist

it wasnt as hard to endure this temptation but it was pretty tough considering, every time i have 'beat the cakes' it's it's been rough afterwards

there are certain movies and songs that make me crave cigarettes and it still is rough being around that

i actually enjoy people being around me as they smoke maybe its the smell (which i've always loved the smell of smoke) it does make me want one but the craving isn't as harsh

(realize i am saying this with the acknowledgement of dubstep isn't everyone's cup of tea)

First off in the panels i host/help host i talk about music theory and movement theory. I talk about having the option of choosing which part of a song you want to dance to. The bass, snare, hihat, lyrics, melody, etc. i also talk about time signatures, syncopation, and off/broken beats.

Well as a dancer i'm going to say nothing gives more of a challenge than dubstep to dance to. If you breakdown a dubstep song into the mind of a dancer or wanting to dance to it it will present some unique challenges no other genre can do.

take this song for example!



For those of you not musically inclined this song follows what's called an 8 bar progression. (I could go off on a musical theory tangent explaining what that actually means but that's for another day) But long story short it follows the rules of many other songs out there musically. But what makes it different than any other genre in a dancer's mind is the segment selection in which the dancer in going to dance to.

Mostly dancers dance to the most prominent part of the song however a dancer that chooses a less prominent part of the song will enhance the attention to whichever part of the song they're dancing to. Now for most of us to nearly all of us the most prominent parts of dubstep is the "wobble" which in many different cases can bring out many types of movement. That all falls down to the ears of the dancer and what they think is appropriate for the noise. Some might think the sound resembles a machine so they'll move like one. some may thing it sounds like a rolling wave it's all about perception.

But the cool unique thing about dubstep is how 'colorful' the wobbles can be. there will bee cool tones, hot tones, long tones, short tones, choppy tones, harsh tones, soft tones, grimy tones, clean tones, and so much more there are so many elements that can potentially be in a dubstep song that the dancer literally has a buffet of move options based off of perception. That's one of the reasons why it's a challenging thing as well. When you're presented with all these sometimes you kinda have to rely on instinct. But no other genre really uniformly does that.

When you put together all the elements of dubstep with a little bit of practice and some killer songs you get

Hey guys so you may have sewn my post about the FC dance comp and it looks like they're doing things a little different this time around. for details see journal below

Now what's going on is they essentially have two contests running one choreo for preplanned dances (kinda like all the other contests have been doing) but the other one is a freestyle tournament. 1on1 style. I really like the tournament style a lot and its a bit more battle oriented which I am a big fan of. However its upto the co ordinators to throw the music out there that the battlers will dance to. Now doing both is not an option :P

So here's my dilema I had something in mind for the regular choreo part lined up (and its pretty sick) but I also really kinda wanna do the tournament as well because I have a laundry list of styles that I practice., And the tournament is a lot more competitive which hits my overly-competitive-dingoness and I also like.

yaknow life is like an obstacle course, some parts easy some parts hard everyone has a different course, but you don't stop at the first obstacle and say "oh that's there I guess I gotta go home :/" no you tackle it the best way you know as hard as you can and you conquer it, sometimes there's some that that seem impossible and you even fall all the way off of it but you know when you do you still can't go home in fact if you look again that fall just may have put you in a better position and angle to overcome it, so keep at it, you're nobody's bitch including the obstacle. Fuck that obstacle make it yours, because when you're past it there will be more that you need to fuckup too, but at the end of it all when you've conquered everything, life is then your bitch and you get to tell it what to do
