Posted 13 years agoWELP that was a total bust as i worked my rear off on that design and no one actually bid but one person 8'D it ends in 11 hours but I don't think anyone else is gonna bid lmao..
Other shit- Got a job, finad out if i ge to keep t tomorrow when i tell them about my vacation i'd planned prior to being hired. If all goes well i'll be closing commissions permenantly and finishing the ones i've already been paid for(of course) so no worries to those people.

I managed to pull some more money out of my rear and buy my plane ticket now I just need a bit of moeny to spend so i don't seem like a total bum.

She ended up getting the haircut, which worried me but i stuck it out until she was done. I ended up having my dad go along because I -really- didn't feel like putting up with this guys crap...When we got there it ended up being even MORE than I was told because they gave her a BATH without my consent or ASKING if i wanted, when I'd been told it was JUST A CUT. I was told it'd be $27 for the cut, it ended up being $40. I wasn't to pleased, but I was so frustraited I just paid and left.
When we got into the car I noticed how rough and jagged her furr looked, it looked like an amatuer did it, to be honest. I inspected a bit more and was appaled that on her right shoulder she had several strands of hair that looked like they'd NEVER seen a razor in their life. NEVER. they were completely untouched. Looked more? Found several gashes and gapes on her fur, one the length of my figner and went down to her skin. On her legs it looked as if he'd picked a random spot to shae the fur down and just stopped after an inch and a half leaving the rest long still. And under her snout/muzzle you can see where he shaved her neck and just stopped right before getting to her mouth area.
WELL.. I wasn't to pleased, actually I was pissed ebcause the guy was said to have almost 40 years of experience on the vet's website, and posted examples of his work. I wasn't able to call back until friday and when I finally got hold of the doctor that had opened the clinic I made my complaints. He was very appologetic about the situation, and had informed me that this wasn't the first time someone had left a complaint about the man's behaviour and that he would be speaking to the man that did the grooming and would be refunding my money. I left him my name, and my address, and even told him if it was lost or needed to be rechecked he could chekc our files which where under my dads name.

Posted 14 years agoI'm not sure if I've told friends who come to FA that I recently, after being reluctantly talked into it by various relatives, decided to have my dog groomed.
She's got long white hair, and despite the vets saying "it'll be easier to see fleas!", yeah no it's not. Her hair is WAY to thick. I settled with the vets groomer, because he knows what he's doing and I've trusted this vet for years with all of our animals.
HUUGGEE fucking mistake.
I got there, after getting lucky that he had a concelation today, and took her in..waited FOREVER for him to come out but thought it'd be worth it.
He started questioning me, how old she was, how long I'd had her, etc. Then asked what I wanted done.. I simply said I wanted her "trimmed/shaved, and the hair around her ears to be trimmed."
Oh fucking sweet merciful jesus how wrong as I.
I got lectured on
-Hair doesn't attract fleas
-She'd still shed with shorter hair.
Then he took it a step further to tell me I was a lazy/BAD pet owner.
Asked about the shampoo we used, and Honestly I didn't know what flea shampoo we used... she gets oatmeal shampoos mostly, but when really needed she gets a damn flea bath.. I told him where my dad GOT the flea shampoo.. and OH. MY. GOD. I'm SO horrid, i'm trying to KILL my dog.
We've been using the same shampoo for fucking YEARS and it's never heart a dog, it barely hurts a fucking flea like it's SUPPOSED to.
Then when he found out she wasn't fixed, he grimaced. Oh lord, a grimace... asked me why?
I told him, straight and honet as I could That I WANTED her to have pups one day, so when she passed I could keep one for myself as a memory of her. This makes me the biggest idiot in the whole world, apparently. He loked at me and told me to "Just take a picture, that'll be your memory" and proceeded to tell me that it was a horrid thing to breed a mutt and sell them.
Not once did i say I'd SELL the pups, no I don't sell pups we give them away- as a side note.
I was just stunned by all this, and had I not been really desperate I would have walked out, and right now I'm kicking myself in the ass for NOT walking out, because i just do not trust this guy.
It would have taken weeks to get an appointment elsewhere, and I felt bad for my dog and just left her there for quick relief.

I've sat on this for almost 45 minutes, and I've decided to just call th vets office and cancel this. I'm more than 90% sure the ass didn't stay during the office's lunch break to trim her. If this means I'll have to pay a boarding fee then so be it, but fuck if I'm letting them cut her hair now..

I turned 21, and as the family had been planning for months we went out somewhere different for my birthday dinner. Decided on a place called El Pueblito were I found a new favorite dish.... and had a few margaritas :I
Tried peach and strawberry.

I expressed my need to pee and then we headed home.
Got home, did my bizz, and then forwhatever reason got into a covnersation dealing with politics... started.. i dunno i can't remember where but ended up with the SOPA bill and moved on to just a bitch session about the internets fucked up morals/whatever you'd call them, in general..

I had planned on waiting until after my art raffle to start asking this, but i'm quite the paranoid guppy and feel like my tablet won't last much longer. The pad randomly stops recognizing the pen, or stops recognizing it at the least little thing. It's a good few years old, too..and seems to be gettign weorse. Restarting my computer fixes the issue for for a bit...but if i use it alot in one sitting it just happens again. :/ I'd rather get a new tablet before this one goes ka-put.
That and i've been planning on getting a new one for a while.
