Pokemon Go
General | Posted 9 years agoWould be nice to join the modern world but bare minimum 1GB/month plans are $45CAD a month with my current cell phone. And thats the low end.
a couple of months of that could buy me a whatever version of a handheld and a double sun/moon pack to play for real.
my home wi-fi may reach a major landmark in my city due to its closeness leaving me some bare access without mobile data, but there is no pokestop near there.
Is it really worth it or should i just save up some more money and finally buy a DSI or whatever their calling the new handheld.
pending other priorities of course.

flat soda pop
General | Posted 9 years agoToo much fizz made me a drama whore and public whiner (whom truly felt what I've written -which is the sad part). Mot enough and I'm gaining too much weight from sleeping too much.
Flat soda pop is what I've been feeling like the past while. Just the sugary diluted base of soda pop not the combo of fizz and sweetness you would expect.
I don't feel the crushing pressures like I did anymore.
Outside of employment at least.

Too many sites
General | Posted 9 years agoand the largest is burried under private invite only accounts.
I shouldnt have to make 5 more accounts just to see everyone I want to. Especially when they are mostly re-posts.
Im on DA, FA and IB. Im not well liked enough to get a Twitter and the movers seem to split between Furry Network and Furrific. The older favourite of Weasyl is there too
I know almost no one on SoFurry
I count 8 with FA. That is just too much.

I've started job searching again. Since I'm getting tired of being isolated. Please pray that i have support so i can get something without going crazy like I did before...
And no more 5 year breaks. Though who knows.

I wouldn't feel like despite everything I've done in my life I have screwed myself over to the point of no redemption at times.
I would be truly comfortable and cuddled up in longer term cubby headspace with that sleeper. Not FOREVER of course but like a favourite pyjama's or rocky road ice cream.
It would have to be washed and cleaned properly and even if i wear it around the house lots, not like I don;t try to do anything else even though my funds and activities are limited by the state of things.

I know until my ISP offers native IPv6 addresses for my system that things will work but for now this is all that can be done to keep it enabled.

General | Posted 10 years agoI think I got my comp back rinning.
The old girl is 12 years old, so I don't know for how long. The old P4, mobo and/or AGP video card is dying for sure.
I found a few scrap parts and some zip ties and put a 200mm fan onto the side of the case. Overheating will not be an issue even in 65%RH and an 85 degree room due to not having 2 ACs in my apartment. It is nessasary but unaffordable, nor is the supply to the unit capable of running them.
Will see how this goes... This is combined with the fact I have finally moved after moving into the 21st century with a new N750 router with Cat 6e cabling.
EDIT Still freezing on me; freeze, speaker beep, black screen all over again... Its either Avira Free 2015, or fgoddamn die without -- Skype is ruining my ram. boots normal, once every 24 hours, CMOS 2038 battery Cell still reading 3.2 volts and is 2 years old. Problem running the same for six months, only since summer has it been acting this bad.
EDIT2 Soundcard harware is no longer being detected by manufacturer hardware diagnostics, there is not much else to do with a sound-card other then replace it with a PCI version which may not be around much longer, especially with XP). I will let it go and see if this does not stop continuous freezing issues - anything with multimedia is gone for now. ...until I have Koios Finished

General | Posted 10 years agoI finally finish digging my 120 sq ft veggie garden.
I move 6 cubic YARDS of dirt, and dispose of (in a corner) 1 cubic yard of HARD YELLOW CLAY by hand over 2 weeks.
I FINALLY filled in the "big dig" and start "maintenance", that included 1kg of copper sulphate to liven up the crops.
Lowe and behold...
This fucking shit has invaded my parents back yard with a vengance, I took out 8 square feet 2 inches thick of topsoil with the first layer of 2nd year plants.
6 double standard black garbage bags, 500ml of H2O2 and 1L of chlorine bleach were sacrificed in this tiny area.

Now I really need some of that class 3 sodium chlorate to nuke it.
By the way cannabis has quite a nasty root ball with it, not something you wanna deal with when it is in the middle of your lawn and flowering.

Im losing the ability to function because its so old.
I have no idea what to do because its only causing lag and other issues.
And I know its because the puter is a single core -- when 8,000 cores and 20,000 GB of ram is worth less then a cup of coffee these days.

General | Posted 11 years agohttp://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/crime.....nts/ar-AA8QXtE
three-year-old American boy has shot his mother and father with the same bullet after pulling a gun from her handbag, police say.
The incident took place in a motel room on Saturday afternoon in Albuquerque in the state of New Mexico.
The toddler was apparently reaching for an iPod.
[...]
Mr Reynolds has been released from hospital and Ms Villescas is in a stable condition.
Albuquerque police said the district attorney's office would decide whether the parents would face negligence charges. The children have been taken into care.
In December a woman in the state of Idaho was killed after her two-year-old son accidentally shot her with a gun he found when reaching into her handbag in a Wal-Mart store.
WHAT THE FUCK!!!
Guns are cool, guns are nice, guns make you feel like you can be rambo or chase the ills and fears away without suffering consequences but yeah.
Your kids do not understand what "BANG" "BLOOD" and "your never gonna see mommy and daddy again because of your actions" until later in life.
At 2 they just think its funny and neat because it sounds like any other "noisy toy" with a funny look, shiny metal, textures and easy action.
IF YOUR TRAVELING WITH A KID AND YOU CONCEAL CARRY. KEEP YOUR MOTHER FUCKING SAFETY ON AND TAKE TRAINING ON HOW TO ACTIVATE IT. BETTER YET DON'T CHAMBER A ROUND TILL YOU ARE READY TO USE IT!
2 steps ain't gonna matter anyways when you can accomplish these two steps --in one single hand motion after drawing...[/b] (Don't bother carrying one because you FAIL.)
Toddlers do not have the coordination or acuity to throw your safe switch, or chamber a round.
Otherwise your just asking for your CHILD to KILL YOU.

General | Posted 11 years agoGiven how the East Coast is Digging out now a new "clipper" has decided to swing across the Jetstream and hit us with some "fun"
8:57 AM EST Thursday 29 January 2015
Special weather statement in effect for:
Chatham-Kent - Rondeau Park
Windsor - Leamington - Essex County
Snow on the way today and tonight.
An Alberta clipper will sail across Southern and Eastern Ontario today and tonight, bringing a general snowfall to all the regions. Latest indications suggest a total of 5 to 12 cm of snow will fall from Grey - Bruce east across Muskoka into the Ottawa Valley. Further south, most regions will receive near 5 cm of snow in total, except for the Windsor and Chatham areas where snowfall amounts will be just a couple of centimetres. The threat of freezing rain has ended for Windsor, however, across Sarnia brief ice pellets or freezing rain are possible this morning.
In the wake of a cold front associated with the clipper, brisk and gusty northwesterly winds will usher in fresh and colder Arctic air beginning this evening. Blowing snow in areas exposed to the stiff northwesterly flow is expected tonight as the cold air moves in.
Driving conditions will deteriorate after the snow arrives. Motorists should expect to deal with poor winter driving conditions as untreated roads will become snow covered and slippery. Low visibility in snow and occasional blowing snow may also contribute to the poor winter driving conditions. The snow from this clipper will likely have considerable impact on the afternoon and early evening commute home from work.
Environment Canada is closely monitoring this situation. Forecast snowfall amounts in general are below the warning criterion of 15 cm in 12 hours. However if this disturbance becomes a bit stronger east of Georgian and across to the Ottawa River Valley.
The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as warnings may be required or extended.
Please monitor the latest forecasts and warnings from Environment Canada at www.weatheroffice.gc.ca..
This is on its way out east in a few days too.

Frosted windows to the point they are totally iced over.
Radiant hot water overkill heating by said 100 year old windows. One of em must hold like SEVERAL HUNDRED LITRES.
Apartment blinds and curtains do nothing to keep the apt at either 50 degrees or 80 degrees.
My skin is peeling desipte using bowls of water on the top of monsters like this (thermal barrier/humidifier):

It gets dark at 6 pm....
I wanna curl up into a blanket and hibernate until Its over.
It may be because I retrofitted all of my lighting to LED or it may just be me.
But alas I cannot.
I wonder what would happen if I just wore a sleeper in the house every day.

My weather forecast today is?
11:05 AM EST Wednesday 24 December 2014
Special weather statement in effect for:
Chatham-Kent - Rondeau Park
Windsor - Leamington - Essex County
Rainy, breezy and unseasonably mild today, then turning very windy and colder tonight, and continuing windy Christmas Day.
A deepening low pressure area over Western Kentucky will track north to reach Lake Huron this evening, then continue to move across Northeastern Ontario into Western Quebec on Christmas Day.
Southern Ontario will get into the warm air later today, with unseasonably mild temperatures ranging from 7 to 10 c over northern areas to quite a few readings in the 10 to 12 c range elsewhere. In fact, temperatures may visit the mid teens in parts of Niagara later today or tonight. These temperatures are more typical of early to mid April, giving a little taste of spring for santa's trip on Christmas Eve. A few new daily high temperature records may be set.
Another interesting weather tidbit with this type of low is that an isolated thunderstorm or two is not out of the question, and a Christmas Eve rumble of thunder or two may be in store for a few localities.
Later on tonight, the deepening low will blast a sharp cold front across the regions. The rain, fog and isolated thunderstorms will come to an end just after the front moves through, but very strong and gusty winds will also herald its arrival. Wind warnings have been issued for many locales as wind gusts of 90 to 100 km/h are expected. Santa's sleigh ride over the regions will be buffeted by these very strong winds tonight.
On Christmas Day, the strong winds will persist, but are expected to gradually abate through the latter part of the day as the weather system moves off to the northeast. Temperatures will be closer to seasonal, with daytime highs forecast to be between about plus one and plus four Celsius. There may be some scattered wet snow or flurries, mainly in regions to the east of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay, but little if any snow accumulation is expected away from these areas. Hence in areas near the lower lakes and the Greater Toronto area chances are quite high that Christmas this year will be green.
LMAO. 100kph winds, thunder, rain, and shorts for Christmas.
I am SERIOUSLY going to laugh if we have a Christmas Thunderstorm. Especially considering The forecast was for a 5 year blizzard.
WE DID!!!!

Especially the minute you request claims guaranteed by the Human Rights Tribunal and Charter or Rights and Freedoms (to even see this title as Constitution Act, 1982 just shows how powerful that document is).
I wont get into court ordered seals (which I've come close to) but the "t word" and 92 hours of it was implicated during a Police Act Process. (several officers0 lost their badges and I have to keep my muzzle shut.) It made trial difficult to hold myself accountable even more beyond having my past re-hashed over and over (due to the above paragraphs).
The doctor verified with one hell of an awesome medical student that it is in-fact now a mild form of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder yesterday. One of the few people in the city that actually talks to his patients. It was a very hard talk because of my own fears of being railroaded again and again.
PTSD just makes my situation a bit worse so its a bittersweet victor. But at least someone finally recognizes it as not whining or running away from my problems -- or refusing treatment.
Though I still have suspicions about unauthorized 'warrantless wiretapping' via the "intelligence grid" on the community for topics related to what happened to me. Though it will be incredibly hard to prove it it'll be hard to shake off -- after nearly having all my ribs broken in a 'jailhouse incident'.
