Lo and behold, my first FA warning - though no suspension!~

A number of my submissions were taken down as per the latest note received by the FA Admins. Hope you saved these somewhere since they were violating that famous policy. This just goes to show how unsafe it is to post anything that looks 'young' even though Pokemon don't have ages. Even in 'light' fetish content it appears, in so much as just showing butt. What is vague is why certain pics were cherry picked over others, such as why 'Butt Slap Competition Page 2' got removed but not its alt?

Some of these I can see why they were removed but I feel like more might be caught in the future. There IS a lot of butt, which is the pichu90 angle after all x3

Although I'm not surprised this is disturbing as I have a lot of history here dating to 2007, even though DA is my oldest account (DA might also give me trouble), and friends and folks who continue to commission me over the years. I'm not going to deactivate or remove anything from this gallery. I do not plan to go through all of it, nor will I change anything about my style nor what I draw as I've said a year ago when the policy first happened. I'm going to continue elsewhere and never look back! Sure, there are pros and cons to the other sites I put in my linktree (previous journal), but my experiences in my 18 years haven't been so negative in general, just a few morons here and there I had to block and move on. I'm a chill dude and don't seek trouble keeping a low profile but it is sad the degree the direction of where several art sites have gone, and none of the changes will really solve the problems they are intended to address. Fiction is Fiction, but the internet makes it seem like everything is real because it appears on a phone screen or computer monitor where anyone of any age these days can just view and act on it. It gets into things that are political and I just don't dedicate any space for that here. Its upsetting for sure, but we have control still by MOVING elsewhere. Let the empires fall. There ARE other places to go - DA, Twitter, Discord, Inkbunny, etc. It's now a world where you just pick your poison.

It may be better not to post here, but keep this account open for legacy sake including the friends and commissioners. Been a while, hasn’t it?

I’m still actively drawing these days, mainly with personal art but I may think about opening commissions next month since there are a number of happenings at the moment.

One, my mom was admitted to the hospital last week, due to an infection that ended up with her unable to get around, a fever and difficulty breathing. She’s healing, but I’m hearing from the doctor that she is getting recommended to a nursing home temporarily.

Another is I have been hanging out in vc with my good friends YarnFeathers and Nise more often lately, exploring new ideas that will spark more creativity in the artwork to come.

That being said, I’ve been hearing about how some of my fellow artists getting suspended or banned in some cases due to that ill thought out policy update last year. As a result, I am more active elsewhere. Most of you know where to find me but I’ll just post my linktree so you can find my whereabouts:

My birthday was fun - Spent the day bowling and playing at the arcade. Had myself a piece of chocolate cake and ice cream ;p

I'm closing commissions for now, as I have a list of ideas I'd like to get through, plus commissions already in the queue. I won't spoil the exact ideas, but there will be summer themed ones, macro, involving characters old and new, and butts of course X3

First bit of news is, my birthday is on the 8th, just a few days away! Sparks is leveling up once more! Hoping to get my Steam Deck and play games that will actually run smoothly now, particularly Palworld! XD

Next is artwise, there is more promise of seeing Team Sparks and other hidden projects starting very soon! Won't spoil any secrets, but hopefully will delight the viewer in some way, pichu90 style ;3

By the way, commissions are still open for the time being but I'm considering closing them to focus on my projects so this may be a good time to ask about them~

Other things:

About my username, as well as my new watermark: When I started my artistic journey in early 2007, I knew I wanted to have pichu in the name. I couldn't be simply be "pichu" as the name was taken, so randomly I picked the number 90. Nothing else special about it, even the comic "90" was just for fun, but you can consider it canon for the development of Sparks Pichu.

Sparks development continues to evolve (creatively, not literally!) and has multiple Pokemon forms and animal forms as well. Heck, he even became Sparkit in Palworld! However, he's canonically a pichu and his alternate forms can be considered an extension of his imagination. There are endless possibilities as far as what he can become but his personality remains constant. Yarn and Nise are there to accompany him regardless, as well as his OCs such as Mincy and now Static the Emolichu. I know there are a few others, but they might only make brief cameos since I want to focus with the current Team Sparks line.

To end this update, it's amazing I lasted this long in the community and am still relevant to this day. Thank you everyone for continuing to view and support my artworks!

I'm opening commissions again, this time with updated prices/TOS. I may cap it to 3 slots depending on the complexity per commission and how long I'll be able to complete them. I'll temporarily close them in that case.

Commissions Terms of Service -- UPDATED 4/25/2024


1) Payment required UP FRONT unless otherwise discussed. I will send an invoice for PayPal if payment not received immediately after approved. No work done until payment received.
2) This cannot be emphasized more clearly but PLEASE DON'T RUSH ME! - I work a full time job so my time is limited. I recommend asking me how things are going after a FULL week. If you need a commission done by a certain date, please give me enough time in advance and I'll TRY to get it done. Holidays can make this more difficult so please keep this in mind.
3) I will usually provide a preview/WIP of the commission prior to submission but for simpler drawings this step may not apply.
4) Please try NOT to make changes or additions to the commission after I reply back with a Work in progress. If I make a mistake, that's no problem but if that doesn't apply then I will allow up to ONE free change, and charge $10 per change after that. This doesn't apply to mistakes of my own or if additional versions/characters are requested, but they will be subject to the pricing below, so adjustments may require an additional payment.
5) I can make anonymous or private commissions if desired, and either way let me know whether you prefer me to submit the commission in my gallery and/or if you prefer to submit it on your own. I don't mind either option~
6) I may increase the price if there is more detail to the character/background.
7) Watermark free versions for commissioner if requested.
8) No refunds unless I’m unable to complete or haven’t started.
9) Let me know if you have a deadline before I start in order to guarantee completion.
10) References are highly encouraged. Text alone can drive the price higher and may result in mistakes.
11) You are free to repost the commission (w/watermark) with credit towards me. Ask me in advance if you wish to post the un-watermarked version.

Hola, it's been a while since I made a journal~

Thinking about reopening commissions in the near future soon, at least opening a couple slots while I balance my own to-do list, work, gaming and life. Admittedly, it's been fun drawing some things I felt like doing after a while. I'm a mixed bag these days and I know not everyone will be into everything I'm into but hey, at least I hope you enjoy some of my works if you're watching me. I'm also less active these days on FA but even with FA's strict policies I still can draw some cheeky things here and there with Sparks and the gang, particularly with Yarn and Nise. I am also thinking of opening the door to raffles or contests in the near future so that I'm not only doing commissions and my own art. I'm kinda iffy about trades these days because it's hard to be fair with everyone, so please don't inquire unless I know you at least a little. Get to know me a little but please don't expect me to say yes to committing to an idea or trade if it's our first interaction. Even for friends, it may be hard for me to commit to anything, but feel free to ask ^^

I'm just a hobbyist either way and drawing commissions is enjoyable. That said, I will need to update my policy for the next round, maybe prices as well, since some things need to be spelled out clearly.

On another subject, I never expected to be addicted to any game as much as Palworld. It's just on another level that I haven't experienced since Pokemon Gold/Silver. Even as much as I enjoyed Legends Arceus or X/Y, Palworld has dominated my leisure time outside of drawing. In fact, I'm putting the game on hold for a week to catch up on my drawing, so I don't burn myself out XD Plus, I'm thinking of buying a Steam Deck since my laptop is only mid in terms of performance for the game. Might be hard on the wallet since I'm planning TWO major trips later this year, one of them being a big if, but one of them will hopefully be Japan for a wedding, but that will be way into November so I won't bring it up until the time nears.

So as for the raffle or contest idea, stay tuned!

I'm doing this to ease my load for now and focus on personal projects/art and yes as well as playing PalWorld! It also comes at a time when my mom is set for an important surgery tomorrow, hoping it's a success too.

Current commissions will still be completed timely in the order they were paid.

Well, I know I don't write very much generally but my 2023 was leaps and bounds a better year than 2022 for personal and artistic reasons.

It started out in the doldrums but things improved dramatically in February with a new job, and then later with new friends I made, particularly online. Nise, Floofi21 (Chip the Pichu) and Ray to name a few. More ideas poured in for commissions, and particularly into my own tastes and kinks most peeps know me for. The result has made me more open in expressing my kinks, and hardly any backlash surprisingly. The only drawback was maybe too many "tail pullers" tugging Sparks at once, whether it was for ideas/requests/RPs or whatever. Some didn't understand that ideas ≠ requests. This led to me venting, but it marked a step forward with friends old and new made this year. Particularly the friendships with YarnFeathers and Nise which grew strong this year, on the level of expressing my darker side and interests. We became Team Sparks in the process!

Relationships were steady through the year, and work went very well to the point of securing my full time conversion from contractor, effective January 2nd!

My plan for 2024 is to find more balance with work and personal time, enhancing friendships I've built, and continue to build upon my interests and express them as an artist. I don't mind if this ends up destroying long standing friends that only see one side of me. It won't involve changing Sparks Pichu in a radical way, neither appearance nor character wise. No, he still won't evolve canonically but he may appear transformed in other forms you haven't seen in a while or at all yet!

On the more professional art side, I will update prices for commissions very soon, so maybe this is a last callout to this years prices. I never asked, but wondered if a SubscribeStar/Fanbox thing would be worth looking into these days, given more do wonder what my behind-the-scenes work look like and may want to see more exclusive content from me. I feel that putting a paywall would be a turnoff, but these days I think more peeps who do commissions tend to do this for certain drawings. I plan on making some gifts for friends and art for pokemon days, such as Yamper day on January 8th! A calendar of pokemon days would be helpful ^^

Just asking for constructive advice here, and personally I think there are times I'm lax with quality but I don't mind helpful tips. If anything, suggest a different creature or Pokemon to draw XD

I know it's a few days old but thanks to everyone who sent me happy birthday messages and gifts! I try to make sure to read through all of them and not miss any.

As for how my birthday went I was actually on hiatus on vacation in Mexico City. It was a family reunion and also a side trip going to see some caverns and natural pools. It was really fun! The whole vacation was pleasant but now ready to return to normal.

I admit I was feeling slightly depressed prior to my birthday on the fact I was turning a year older. However, with every year that goes by I get more amazed that I stuck around as long as I have, even considering the two year break. It's interesting considering I haven't changed that much in my 16 years in the digital artist world. I don't think there's any question that I'm mainly a pokemon artist, albeit one with a goofy, cartoony cute style featuring my main OC Sparks the pichu. I have also been known for the "pichu90 angle", basically showing the butt XD. Others remember me for those Flash dress up games that I made until the end of 2020.

Yet, I still see Sparks' character continue to evolve, and we'll see it more in the comics and art. I feel like he enjoys mischief knowing he would get caught and punished yet appears to enjoy the punishment sometimes XD

Not going to remove more than just NSFW art, probably all of it but the rest will stay. Planning on this effectively over today and tomorrow. If by any chance I'm still alive on FA in July - the 8th is my birthday but I will be on a digital drawing hiatus the first week of July to take a breather. I haven't posted much NSFW since the original ban in 2010 and every time I posted anything NSFW on THIS SITE it seemed to produce at best a lukewarm reaction from my watchers, shock to others who never seen it and disapproval from a number of others. I'll continue posting both normal, cute as well as fetish content here as long as I don't get suspended but I will NOT change what I draw in general because of site policies and other people calling me out on my content.

However, If I get suspended over anything else, over any fetish that I have NOT marked NSFW then I'll be glad. I have other sites I'm actively posting. In fact, I'm relying more on Postybirb to handle the manual work now. All my content should be mirrored on any of these sites: DeviantArt, Weasyl, InkBunny, Twitter, Pixiv, FurryNetwork, Itaku and a few others I may resurrect. I'll be likely the most active on DeviantArt, Twitter and InkBunny out of all these whether its artwork, journals or other projects.

I have a ranting on a separate post that addresses a couple issues that disturbed me over the years (not just here but everywhere) and finally putting my foot down on certain things I cannot accept and will no longer tolerate. This will probably be my last journal before my one week break from 7/1 - 7/9. Keep in mind no digital art will be created but I may submit older things or scraps that I feel worthy of this site.

As I'm getting comfortable with posting my material on other sites I'll stay the course with posting here until D Day happens or this account is suspended. That said, my art has been mostly viewed as fetishy even if SFW so pretty much only SFW material of mine will get posted here. Behavior wise I'm going to be more 'open' about my fetishes and interests on other sites more than before. I have a feeling the reason for the updated policy is because of FA wanting to be secure and compliant with their payment service, via dealing with the constant complaints and tickets from folks who probably SHOULDN'T EVEN BE ON THIS SITE and thus blanket ban so they don't have to deal with possible conflicts . I don't want to start a war, but those people honestly would piss me off if they talked to me online or in real life. I blame them as much as the backwards institutions and governments that regard fictional drawings as the real thing (such as said payment service and where the country/state hosted) *sigh*. It's better not to associate with such entities and people when possible and LEAVE.

I'm sorry to those who have no choice but to live under artistic suppression (right word?). I believe in artistic freedom to the degree it doesn't cause harm to anyone, even if I don't care for the art itself.

But about me, I want to advise everyone now to SAVE anything from my gallery NOW while you can. I’m active on other sites such as InkBunny and DeviantArt as well as Twitter. Check on my main page for all the sites. I can’t predict what’s going to happen but I want to issue a fair warning in case if anything happens to this account, based on the recent policy update. There’s too much here I’ve built up it would be almost impossible to fix on my end. I’ve already backed up everything on my side.

I'm refreshed and ready to take on this year at last!

In real life news, I returned from a five day trip to Honolulu, Hawaii which I didn't plan until the last minute but was worth every penny! It was relaxing yet fun, and got a chance to go to a luau for the first time. Not a dull moment. This vacation was much needed, especially in a therapeutic sense because of the struggles in the second half of 2022. To say it was a rough year was an understatement. My drive and motivation came to a standstill due to a psychopathic boss, but in the end I think the job and company was a bad fit for my career in spite of earlier hopes. I'm ready to move onto the new job I secured starting on Monday. It's a remote job and won't have as good perks as the last, but I feel it will have a better work life balance and culture.

I plan to be just as active as I was in the early part of 2022 if not more. Some Sparks stuff is in the works, amongst other surprises and maybe some things I haven't tried in a long time such as characters in different cartoons/animes, possibly different styles/themes to experiment with.

Updated commission stuff will appear in a separate journal. I'm moving towards Ko-Fi as my main platform for payments going forward but stay tuned~

After several months, I'm finally returning to some kind of normal.

I've been kinda light on activity because of work-related stress and trauma reaching an all time high with my anxiety and depression going through the roof. I'll spare the drama for you. At last though, I found a new job opportunity! It will start on the 20th so I'm resting in between and planning the next chapter of Sparks' adventure, personally and artwise. The other good news is things with the family are also stable. Let's hope it remains this way.

Part of the reason why I halted commissions in 2022 involved my own personal struggles with my "payment service" which I won't name explicitly. I think I'm good now though. I'm thinking of finding alternative payment methods and if anyone has a strong opinion on them feel free to comment below. I'm back from a near 3 week vacation, a personal record in recent memory!

I was away in Turkey and Egypt during that time. It was quite a trip traveling from San Diego to Istanbul and then to Cairo. Lots of fun memories created with family as well as enriching with cultural and educational elements. I particularly enjoyed the balloon ride in Cappadocia, Turkey and the cruise in Luxor, Egypt. As for food and sweets in particular, I enjoyed the Baklava, Turkish Delight and the buffet selections. At the same time, it reminded me of how short life is, especially in balancing work and avoiding/dealing with the toxic people in my life. Sparks is refreshed and ready to take on the challenges ahead!

The elephant in the room is the job.'ll be focused on leaving for a better one ASAP as there's no doubt my time in the current one is limited. I'll be looking for an opportunity where I'm appreciated and can better exercise my skills. That being said, I'm nearly ready to open commissions even in spite of the fuss with P@yp*l but will look for alternative payment methods. If I'm laid off before I find another job I'll double down with commissions.

The next thing I'm hearing now is that my brother/sister-in-law will NOT be having a baby after all. Apparently, there was no sign of anything after a recent follow up. Sparks being an uncle won't happen quite yet it seems.

I'm still trying to recover from the flight back and the jet lag, so bear with me in returning with more art. Hopefully with better ideas! ^-^
