Especially pizza delivery, because now I am using my own gas to deliver your food and pizza places don't pay for gas.

Hello all! First off I want to let everyone know that me and my wonderful partner, ska, are moving. Not far from where we currently live, but a little bit out East into Long Island, NY close to my new job. By the way did I tell y’all I got a new job? I am now a Computer Technician, no longer some pizza delivering lackey XD. The hour drive to work and 2 hour drive home was killing me and my car. So, we are moving a nice shorter 20 minute drive from my job to West Babylon, NY. It should be a good bit of fun to move again and have a place all to our own that we can decorate exactly how we want. If anyone is interested in taking our place in Brooklyn, it is available. You can check out the details here. Some things in that journal are inaccurate though. You can park without problem, just on the street and not in the parking lot, and you can bring a floor unit air conditioner (there are bars over the windows that the building manager gets upset about when removed, so can’t use a window unit). Both me and ska are really excited to be moving out and starting a new life together on our own! We are moving in to our new house on March 01, 2013, which is right around the corner!

Also on a completely unrelated note. I was driving to work this morning, and I passed the Chipotle I frequently stop at for lunch at work. And I was thinking to myself, wouldn’t it be awesome if they made like breakfast foods. Wouldn’t like an Egg and Cheese burrito be awesome? Idk. Maybe my stomach is making better sense of it than reality would XD. Anyways, that’s all for now. Sorry I don’t update here more often!

To everyone I told I would be at FWA: sorry, I am not going. I loved the last 2 years I went, but I am going to need to skip it as I need to put my money towards more important things. I hope to attend next year when my life is a little more stable!

Anthrocon: I booked my room and my life should be a good bit more stable by the time this con rolls around. My paid-vacation days at my new job should have kicked in by then and me and my hot husband ska will be going! If you want a spot in my room, comment below! If too many people want in, I unfortunately will have to cap it as I cant have too many in one room. I am staying at the Omni, and the price of the room will be divided evenly among everyone staying in the room. Should be less than $150 / person. Probably close to $110 - $120, but idk. It really depends on how many people are going to be in the room. I will post a journal with more details once I have people to be in my room. Last 2 years were a blast, and lets make this 3 good years in a row!

I am also going to shot to be attending FurFright, and MFF. I have attended the last 3 furfrights, and I was at MFF 2011. Never had a bad time at any of those cons =p

So I am never gonna take the MegaBus down to Atlanta again. 6-hour holdover Knoxville, Tennessee. Forgettaboutit. So I am gonna do what I did 2 years ago me thinks. I'm gonna get in my tired car, and drive down there. Last time I did it, it was a 16 hour drive, but it was a ton of fun and way better than taking a 24 hour bus ride with 3 transfers. Yes, the bus is way cheaper, but this is a con. It's supposed to be fun! When I took that bus, I felt like I was going to die. lol. Also I missed my ability to drive when I was down there last year. Sooo, I am thinking of inviting two peeps to take the trip down with me and ska. It won't be cheap though. I am estimating the total cost of the round-trip in the car to be around $400 or so (it was $300 2 years ago when gas and tolls were cheaper, and my old car had a good bit better mpg). So divided among 4 people, that would come out to around $100 a person or so for the car ride. So I am just putting this out there to see if there is any general interest. By commenting here, you are in NO WAY reserving a seat, and I will post another journal later on about that if I decide to even go through with this method. We may fly or suck it up and bus it again. Who knows. Let me know what you think?

It is about a 2.5 hour drive each way (2.5 hours would include rest stops/traffic/delays, etc). It is about 145 Miles each way (290 miles total). My car gets just about 18 MPG on the highway when it is fully loaded with 5 people and all their cargo. Gas is about $4/gallon right now. So if we divide 290 miles / 18 mpg = 17 gallons of gas used. 17 gal x $4/gallon = $68 for gas. There is about $20 of tolls each direction ($40 total, TurnPike toll went up recently). So $68 for gas + $40 for tolls = $108 total to drive there and back. We have 5 passengers in the car, so $108 / 5 passengers = $22 / person. So each person will owe AT LEAST $22 for the round trip ride. It would be greatly appreciated, however, if you provided a tip for driving you so far. It is a lot of effort to stay focused on the road for so long in the dark. Remember, all prices are non-negotiable and must be paid in full upon entering the vehicle, not afterwards. Just a reminder: I am not making ANY profit off of this, these prices are strictly to operate the vehicle, so please refrain from complaints. Also please remember my car is a carry in - carry out zone. All trash you take into my car must be removed, or you won't be welcomed back. Next up is the Hotel Room!
We have a reservation at the Quality Inn Cromwell, which is just right across the street from FurFright! Although I have never stayed here, I can almost guarantee it will be a more pleasant stay than the Super 8 down the road! We did run into one small issue when booking the room though. They were sold out of rooms with two beds in them at all the hotels in the surrounding area (yes, even Super 8). So what I could get a hold of was room with a single king size bed. Yoshils & Myself will both be bringing air matteresses, so there should still be a place for everyone to sleep despite this shortcoming!

We have the room for Friday - Sunday night. I will be arriving Friday morning, and we will be checking out at 12:00PM on Monday. I will try to get a card key for everyone, but I can not guarantee that as the room is only designed for 2 guests.

Another (kinda) shortcoming with the Quality Inn is they are pretty pricey, especially since they did not offer any sort of discount for the convention. Hopefully we will have a very nice stay for the price! The room currently costs $449 (inc. tax), so after dividing that down evenly among the 5 fuzzies we have in the room, it boils down to $90 each. Again like the car, this is non-negotiable. This is to cover the cost of the room. I do not control their prices, nor am I making any profit from this. If you have a complaint about price, please bring it up with the hotel, not me.

Pichu Rules:
We are all a quiet bunch of people. So try not to make any loud noises or wake anyone up. Its okay to come in the room late. It is not okay to come in the room late and turn on all the lights or TV and make noise. Please respect other guests in the room. You can have guests in the room, but don't bring in a large amount, and don't bring in anyone who may disrupt the peace of the room. No smoking in the room please. It upsets some of our guests, and also we are in a no-smoking room. No parties are allowed in the room. You are not allowed to use the room for personal endeavors that would require everyone else to leave the room or not be allowed inside. Please keep clean! Do not leave your personal belongings spewed out all over the room. Keep to a small pile, or use the drawers in the room. I would recommend everyone grab a drawer to store your items in. If you lose your key, please let me know so I can get a new one for you. If you do anything to make the bill go up (rent a movie on the TV, damage something, take a water bottle from the room, mess with the mini fridge if there is one, etc.) you will be responsible to cover the additional charges. Also remember to bring your deodorant and shower as needed. I am sure no one wants to be staying with a stinky furry. XD

I will bring a power strip, so we can all plug in our cell phones. Remember your charger! I will also bring a case of water so we can all stay hydrated, and not have to worry about a $5 charge appearing on the bill for taking the bottle of water in the room provided by the hotel.

If you have your fursuit with you, please remember to hang it up when you are not using it. You should spray it down so it does not hold any smells or grow any bacteria. I will have a alcohol mix spray with me if you need to use it. Just ask me first. A stinky fursuit is just as bad as a stinky furry. So keep clean and smell good and we all should have a nice good time. =3

Generally just to have a good time. Wanna catch up with old friends, make some new ones, etc. Also wanna get some good use of my suit in XD

Here is the Itinerary for Pichu's Anthrocon Adventure 2012!

First up is the car ride!

It is an 8 hour drive each way (8 hours would include rest stops/traffic/delays, etc). It is about 390 Miles each way (780 miles total). My car gets just under 20 MPG on the highway when it is fully loaded with 5 people and all their cargo. Gas is about $4/gallon right now. So if we divide 780 miles / 19 mpg = 42 gallons of gas used. 42 gal x $4/gallon = $168 for gas. There is about $45 of tolls each direction ($90 total). So $168 for gas + $90 for tolls = $258 total to drive there. We have 5 passengers in the car, so $258 / 5 passengers = $52 / person. So each person will owe AT LEAST $52 for the round trip ride. It would be greatly appreciated, however, if you gave me a tip for driving you so far. It is a lot of effort to stay focused on the road for so long. dreamwolf is only going 1 way, so he gets 1/2 price, $26. Whoever would like to get the seat for the return trip, the cost would be $26 for just the return trip. Depending on where you are located, we may be able to drop you off, a slight for a small extra charge if it is out of the direct path. Otherwise we will drop you off at a train / bus station in NYC of your choice on the way home as long as it is not far out of the way. Remember, all prices are non-negotiable and must be paid in full upon entering the vehicle, not afterwards. Just a reminder: I am not making ANY profit off of this, these prices are strictly to operate the vehicle, so please refrain from complaints. Also please remember my car is a carry in - carry out zone. All trash you take into my car must be removed, or you won't be welcomed back. If you accidentally make a mess, please let me know (and clean it). Thanks =3

Next up is the Hotel Room!
We have a reservation at the Omni William Penn Hotel, which is just a very short walk from AC (3 min. walk maybe). It features HUGE rooms, (almost suite size at other hotels), and a very nice atmosphere. There are NO lines for any of the 24 elevators (YES, TWENTY FOUR), so you can probably walk down the street and get to the room faster here than wait on line at the Westin for one of their few, overcrowded elevators. There is also a Starbucks in the lobby, as well as free fruits and water placed around the lobby, so fresh food and beverages are always available.

We have the room for Thursday - Sunday night. I will be arriving Thursday afternoon, and we will be checking out at 12:00PM on Monday. I will try to get a card key for everyone, but I can not guarantee that as the room is only designed for 4 guests.

The room currently costs $650 (inc. tax), so after dividing that down evenly amoung the 7 fuzzies we have in the room, it boils down to $93 each. Again like the car, this is non-negotiable. This is to cover the cost of the room. I do not control their prices, nor am I making any profit from this. If you have a complaint about price, please bring it up with the hotel, not me.

Pichu Rules:
We are all a quiet bunch of people. So try not to make any loud noises or wake anyone up. Its okay to come in the room late. It is not okay to come in the room late and turn on all the lights or TV and make noise. Please respect other guests in the room. You can have guests in the room, but don't bring in a large amount, and don't bring in anyone who may disrupt the peace of the room. No drinking (alcohol) or smoking in the room please. It upsets some of our guests, and also we are in a no-smoking room. If you need to drink or smoke, please do it elsewhere. No parties are allowed in the room. You are not allowed to use the room for personal endeavors that would require everyone else to leave the room or not be allowed inside. Please keep clean! Do not leave your personal belongings spewed out all over the room. Keep to a small pile, or use the drawers in the room. I would reccomend everyone grab a drawer to store your items in. If you lose your key, please let me know so I can get a new one for you. If you do anything to make the bill go up (rent a movie on the TV, damage something, take a water bottle from the room, mess with the mini fridge if there is one, etc.) you will be responsible to cover the additional charges. Also remember to bring your deodarant and shower as needed. It will be very hot, and I am sure no one wants to be staying with a stinky furry. XD

There are 2 queen size beds in the room. Me and ska will have one of the beds. I will leave it up to you guys to determine who gets the other bed. Maybe you can work out to rotate people each night. mario62690 and I will both be bringing air matresses, so there will be a spot for everyone to sleep. I will bring a power strip, so we can all plug in our cell phones. Remember your charger!

If you have your fursuit with you, please remember to hang it up when you are not using it. You should spray it down so it does not hold any smells or grow any bacteria. I will have a alcohol mix spray with me if you need to use it. Just ask me first. A stinky fursuit is just as bad as a stinky furry. So keep clean and smell good and we all should have a nice good time. =3

There are quite a few tolls on the way ($13 Bridge, $ for Turnpike, etc.) as well as gas which is about $4 / gallon. Divided among the 5 people in the car, it boils down to approximately $15 a person. Remember this is for round trip in my car. That is a lot of driving. Also, DO NOT forget to bring food or a cash donation to the BBQ, or else you will not be allowed in (not my rules). We will be stopping at WaWa on the way, so you can pick up something there if you want (highly recommended).
