Back to normal
Posted 15 years agoI've re-done all the art I lost in the previous USB crash.
I've decided on the bonus pic for Subject To Change March: Kitty Grows Up. In this series of pics, Sister Dogg (of growing kittygirl fame) grows up as a giant kitty anthro, showing her as she goes from 9 yrs old to 13, 16, 19, and 22.
Unstobbale C is almost there! Just need that last little bit to go over the top so I can post the pics for people to see!
Sorry about being late on Office Bitch and Subject To Change. Things should be back on track now. Go check them out: subjecttochange.comicgenesis.com, picklejuice.comicgenesis.com (NSFW)
I've got all 5 commisison slots filled:
1. Manspider
2. 45510's ash pics
3. Nightfirer's new ash pic
4. A bunny pic
5. Anonymous architechture project
New commissions go on the queue, but no payments until I'm ready!

Posted 15 years agoThe USB drive I was using to temporarily store my art died, so I lost all the recent work I did. Please contact me and I can get you the rough images, but the final inks and colors have been lost.
Office Bitch Hostage Picture
Posted 16 years agoThe Office Bitch has Bonus pics!
Contribute ($2.50 min) and I'll send you both bonus pics, AND you'll be contributing to releasing the hostage pic, The Unstoppable Cum. Description: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3388279/
A hostage comic is a Bonus comic I make in addition to the normal Office Bitch weekly strips. They're short stories that aren't required reading (ha) for the Bitch, they're just little moments or insights into characters.
The catch is, I will hold it ransom and nobody can read them until the ransom is paid. Once it's paid, however, the comic will be open and available to everyone. Original idea for this ransom style comic from Greg Stolze http://www.gregstolze.com/

Subject To Change Bonus pic for March
Posted 16 years agoLooking for suggestions for the Bonus Pic
For March, I'm going to do something special for the STC bonus pic. It'll be a hostage pic. Once enough people donate, it'll be up and available for everyone to see.
I don't have a bonus pic for Feb. Too short a month, not enough ideas.
So. People: Give me some ideas!
Just a link: http://cgwiki.comicgenesis.com/inde.....ject_To_Change

Lost Office Bitch comic
Posted 16 years agohttp://picklejuice.comicgenesis.com...../20090116.html
I tried 2 different times to give these 2 lost comics their own pages. I couldn't figure it out, so I lumped them in with the main comic. It finally worked! :P
Master Office Bitch Index: http://cgwiki.comicgenesis.com/inde.....e_Office_Bitch
Now. I've fixed all the problems. I think. If anyone finds any broken links, please let me know!
Thanks!
Also, Subject To Change and Iron Wolf are updated

http://www.drunkduck.com/Iron_Wolf/
I'm starting to get a little desperate here, furs. I'm running out of money and I'll have to go get a real job soon. Commission me to stave off that horrible eventuality!

What big project should I work on next?
Posted 16 years ago"Iron Wolf Daily" - (http://www.drunkduck.com/Iron_Wolf/) Right now, It's updating bi-weekly. If I go daily with it, I could go through it all and get to the *drumroll* new series (featuring Sox the supersonic Fox) a lot sooner!
"Subject To Change Bi-Weekly" - (http://subjecttochange.comicgenesis.com/) I have enough material for Subject To Change to make it into a bi-weekly strip for a couple months.
"The Office Bitch Daily" - (http://picklejuice.comicgenesis.com/ NSFW!!!) I have enough material for the Office Bitch to make it into a daily strip.
General projects:
"Everything Old is New again" - Redoing/updating every picture I've ever made starting with the oldest stuff first. This is material new to the web. This is stuff I made back in High school that never made the transition to web. There's good ideas I could rework into something decent looking with my skills today.
"Archer" - Set in a medieval world, a man is captured by a sorceress and transformed into a furry, demonic, batwinged monster to do her bidding. He escapes, but must now live with his new body.
"The Blue Book" - My very first story EVER. Written when I was 2. No shit. In it, my sister and I go on a vacation in my car. (Yes, when I was 2 I made a story about me owning a car), but our map gets flipped turned upside-down, and we wind up stranded at a haunted house. Not furry, but I think it's fun.
"Fuzzhead" - The story of man who finds himself in the body of a short furry ... thing. (I was inspired by the "wild gang" from Labyrinth) Set in the real world, Fuzzhead unfortunately soon discovers he is magically bound to a mad magician bent on warping all of reality to his will.
"Classy" - Three Word Challenges are stacking up, but they're not getting done. If you like my bizarre madness such as the onion eyeglasses and the guy riding a giant sprig of broccoli on re-entry, choose this one. Not furry.
"Poodled" - A guy goes in for a haircut at a dog grooming salon and winds up with the full poodlefication treatment.
"Acting Doggy" - An epic 40+ stage transformation of a young man into a dog every time he acts like a dog.
"Horse dance" - 20+ pages of a man transforming into a horse as he dances to the beat of a distant drum. He transforms back, goes to work, and hears the drums again...
"Leash Lars" - A furry fan finds a collar and leash that give him a dog's tail. He goes to the local pound to be with one of the dogs there, but finds the collar changes his more and more each time he wears it... and never transforms him fully back.
"Horny" - a short but voluptuous woman gets a pair of horns inplanted in her skull... horns of the SUCCUBUS! She slowly transforms.
"Tail" - (Text mostly) The story of a man who finds a wolf tail in the woods. When he puts it on, it sends alien tendrils into his spine and begin a series of transformations. Real personalities and realistic setting.
"Wild Nether" - (Text mostly) The story of a boy who searches for clues to find the Galviston Bandit. In stead, he finds a magic cave that transformed the bandit into a possum, and transforms the boy into a wolf. Real personalities in a realistic setting.
"In canis corporay Transmuto" - This would be a weekly comic about a bike messenger very slowly changing into a dog.
Votes will only count if you contribute. The first project to reach $300 total donations will move forward. The other projects will be done in descending order. Close out will be in 3 months. Please contribute your choice to my paypal picklejuice_13[at]yahoo.com or send check to Arthur Pearson, 910 Lynde Dr NE #204, Fridley, MN 55432

Yes Office Bitch
Posted 16 years agoThank you for contributing. I will be updating now. http://picklejuice.comicgenesis.com/
To be honest, I thought no one's been contributing. The truth is, it's been so long since I had regular contributors to The Office Bitch, I forgot that I don't get email notifications for when people contribute. My email inbox was empty, so I was sad and all full of despair. I'm sorry. I'm a silly bitch. I'll update now.

Sure, I've been an asshole when I ask for commissions for Office Bitch, but that's the comic's attitude. I suppose over the internet, it's easier to come off as a total asshole rather than a sexy asshole. So, starting now, I'll in stead adopt the bitch's attitude rather than the attitude of the one slapping the bitch:
((O.O)) Pleeease pretty please contribute to the office bitch! I try, I really do! Look, I promise to put up new comics if I just get *one* contribution. I really will! Please! Whatever you can spare... ooh... you don't like me. I'm a horrible artist. I'm sorry. I'll try harder... v.v

Technique journal 10.01.09
Posted 16 years agoPeople don't care if you can dance: Just get up and dance.
This is a toughie for me, so I'll go on at length about it. First off, the name of the rule. I decided on that as the official name of the rule. Here are other ones I came up with:
Life: 10%: what happens to you, 90%: how you react to it
Or:
The standard artist's greeting: "I hate you, I hate you, I hate you."
Or:
Carrie over-reacted.
In explaining everything, I'll go backwards to front.
Carrie over-reacted: Stephen King made a good novel once and threw it in the trash. His wife picked it out of the trash and it became his very first success: Carrie. This work of fiction about an awkward teen girl who gets picked on and murders EVERYONE with her newly developing SUPER MIND POWERS ... really touched me.
A few of you may be aware I have a bit of an anger control problem. Let me tell you - High school was no picnic, and I never quite got why people like shitting all over you and laughing.
Then I read Carrie.
It all became clear to me. Suffice it to say, the whole Uber-Prank pulled on Carrie was NOT the End Of The World, as she most certainly felt it was. She over-reacted, and if she'd just laughed WITH them, she could have turned it around on them and come out on top.
But I digress. The point is twofold:
#1 Learning to ignore the negativity of your own heart is the first part. Stephen King would not be known today were it not for his wife FISHING THIS BOOK OUT OF THE TRASH. An artist/writer/creator can't honestly judge his/her work without feedback from an audience.
#2 The second is embracing the idea that NOBODY CARES. This is an empowering thought: they DON'T care, so any laughing, derision, jokes, and put-downs are meant to elicit joy and laughter. They don't care about you, so why should you care about them? You don't have time to care about what every Negative Nelly thinks of you: neither do THEY.
Continuing... The next title: The standard artist's greeting: "I hate you, I hate you, I hate you."
This is fairly straightforward: All artists everywhere have someone they envy. Usually it's someone... who envies THEIR work. Pulling off great art is hard work - and usually the only people willing to work hard enough at it to get good are the kind who is their own worst critic.
The next title:
Life: 10%: what happens to you, 90%: how you react to it
I heard this, and it ALMOST became the title of this chapter, but I couldn't decide between it and "Carrie overreacted".
Finally, to the best title for this journal:
People don't care if you can dance: Just get up and dance.
Remember the Seinfeld ep where Elaine danced "incredibly horribly"? Yeah, that was a great episode. But... wasn't that dance pretty fun to watch anyway? Don't you kinda wish you could... do that dance for your friends and get a laugh out of them?
Dear god.. wasn't that... a GREAT dance she did? How funny, how fun?
People don't care whether you do good or do bad. In the end it doesn't really matter: not for your job, not for your family, not for your friends. Do what *you* like, and don't worry so much about what people think about it.
So, post that Sonic The Hegehog fanart you drew in 6th grade if you like it. If someone decides your art sucks and makes a stink about it, forget it. They don't have to watch you. They don't have to click your thumbnail. They don't have to search for "Sonic Hedgehog Fanart" and expect the Mona Lisa when they come across your image.
But, to be fair, if you KNOW your art is sketchy, mark it as such. You will know your art is sketchy if lots of people tell you. This is not compromising your work: it's being diplomatic. If people complain, throw them something. If the baby's gonna whine all day, just give the baby its bottle.
And, yes, I DO consciously sacrifice quality for quantity. I just don't want to see an incredibly awesome picture of a transformation. I want *sequences*, and you don't get quality AND quantity without a hell of a lot more effort. I mean, I DO have a day job!
In summary:
#1 Draw
#2 Copy
#3 People don't care if you can dance: Just get up and dance.

That's right. I'm telling you to steal! Don't photocopy: reproduce the art you like using the original media the artist used.
It's 100% fine to do this! Flattering, even. As long as it's for educational purposes only. You can't sell someone else's work. That's forgery and real, legal stealing. Very bad.
It's black and white about the distinction, by the way: if you gain by using someone else's work, you are stealing.
Copying from the masters is a time-honored tradition among artistic circles. If you wanted to paint well, you hiked to the Louvre and churned out your best effort at a Mona Lisa.
You learn a lot! How lines work, how pencils smear, how markers bleed - and how to turn it all to your advantage to make great art.
I shouldn't feel guilty, and neither should you! Clearly attribute where you got the idea from, don't charge anyone for it, and copy, copy, copy!
So, in review:
#1: Draw
#2: Copy

I will go on and on, but it's really that simple: an artist draws.
The biggest thing that separates me from someone who hasn't drawn before is sheer time spent whipping pencils. I happen to have a mad monkey in the back of my head constantly screeching for more new TF, so sometimes I sigh and sit down and draw. He quiets down when I do that. Instant motivation!
Everyone is different, and everyone's muse is different too, so I'll say this first about motivation: Do what works for you.
That said, here's what works for me:
Nothing.
Seriously. Nothing works for me. I'm a lazy ass and every once in a while my muse tells me to do something, so I do it, but by and large I don't have anything that gets me to sit down and draw.
I tell you, if I DID have something, I'd never draw. When you got something, you do that something. For some people it's friends or family or work or games or even working out. Something is fun to do! It fills your life with purpose and interest and vip-vigor-vim! But for me, I got nothing. So in stead of alllll of that, I draw.
The point I'm trying to make here is that you are the only person who can decide what you do. If you play xbox for 12 hours every week, don't complain your art sucks. You could have redrawn the same picture 3 times by then, and maybe made something to be proud of. In stead, you now have the epic experience of modern gaming to look back upon in nostalgia. Maybe nostalgia's your something. Think about it.
Everyone has time. To draw, you must sacrifice some of your time to it.
So, again:
Rule #1: Draw.

I go every year. I bring convention exclusive art (things I have never posted to the hyperwebs). I offer my TF magazines and Iron Wolf comics. I do commissions on the cheap and enjoy chatting with all my fans. All 6 of you.
So, make sure to hit the Artist's Alley on Saturday so you can see me.
Also FYI:
My computer died recently, and Comic Genesis has decided my ftp upload area is no longer working. So, no updates. I HAVE updates for Subject To Change and The Office Bitch... but no way of uploading them.
