Webcomic Project - IT'S DECIDED!
Posted 18 years agoOkay, after about 2 years of planning and thinking on all the different stories I've got to work with, Dream Weaver is gonna be the first runner up. I did some askin' around, got some nice feedback, (and thankyou Base for the recommendations, they were a big help! ^o^ ), and so hopefully by the end of the spring, the comic'll be up and running by the grace of AI's workload n' God. Seeing as I'm gonna be putting more focus into this than other projects, unfortunately not that much art is gonna be getting submitted...unless I just say screw it and slack off again; but I'm trying to make a habit not to. XD
So yeah. Dream Weaver - coming Summer 2008. Wish me luck!

Posted 18 years agoYeah, so I was looking about my FA page, and I noticed that somebodyyyy changed their icon. I don't mind it, but it brought up a bit of a hilarious issue. Somebody else was walking by and noticed this in the shout box as I was scrolling through stuff

Posted 18 years agoI haven't done one of these in a while. While I've got much to talk about, I don't think anybody else would find it that interesting. But...all the same, a journal's here for logging stuff, right? XD
Okay, so let's see...a few things I've been pondering on. First up is...well seeing as Christmas is right around the corner, I'll go with that. At the moment, I'm working on a fun little Hairballs holiday card featuring Santa and Ota. Chances are it's gonna get a lotta flames, but hey, IT'S THE TRUTH! Alright? You've been warned.
Next item of business...I've almost caught up AGAIN with bills. And THIS TIME I WILL GET COMMISH STUFF SET UP! ...wow, how many times have I said that now? 2? 3? X3 Cross your fingers that this'll be it, unless you LIKE getting freebies that I have no incentive to finish on time. (*coughKyrecough*) I'm cheap labor too, so what've you got to lose?
Thiiiird...umm...oh yeah, to any who're wondering about the power situation if you noticed the remark in my latest submission, yeah, the power's been cut in the house. Seems like somebody forgot to call ahead and tell the company when to expect payment. And on top of that, Florida weather decides to say "SCREW YOU" again and take a temperate nosedive. So until Friday when stuff gets cut back on, unless things warm up, I'll be sleeping on an iceberg with no idea on the time of day. So I hope my teachers and boss'll be merciful if I come in late in the mornings. >w>

Posted 18 years agoYeaaaaah, after yet another hiatus, I can safetly say I've settled down and am back for good now! Special thanks to Bellsouth for unknowingly giving me the spare part I needed for my scanner. That was a blessing. X3

Posted 18 years ago...okay, so I'm not officially back yet after all. But I'm getting there! Supposedly, I'll be getting internets around my birthday. August 12. So be sure to give me presents. LOTS AND LOTS OF...uh...ARTS AND...I dunno, OTHER STUFF! Mmnyeeeeeeeeeees....
In other news~
We STILL haven't unpacked. I'm supposed to be the lazy one in the family, but seems like everybody's caught the bug now. Just yesterday, we managed to get the beds...scratch that, the mattresses into bedrooms. Everybody was tired of sleeping on the floors really. The living room's still full of boxes and misplaced furniture, as it half my bedroom. *le sigh*
Today, I am dog tired. I spent the whole weekend pulling all nighters on this game called Riviera: The Promised Land for GBA. Very addictive RPG I thought. It's not often you get put in the shoes of an angel and fight against gods n' demons n' such. And God of War does not count, if anybody's thinking that. Anyways, I was just dying to see what happened next and how the story ended, so it was really hard for me to stop playing. I wound up sleeping during the day and waking up at night, and I managed to beat it around midnight last night. Kind of a cheesy epilogue, but still nice. I'm still POed about a certain someone dying though. I won't spoil it for those who are or wanna try playing...any more than I have anyway.
...except by saying this- Ein's a pervert. The End.
...and that's about it. As far as art goes, I got two requests to touch up, and I'm...actually, that's gonna be it for requests for a while now. I'm about ready to start charging. x3
THAT is about it. NOW MAKE/BUY ME PRESENTS! GATO COMMANDS IT! HAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!!

Posted 18 years agoSee, this would be the disadvantage of not starting work out on the computer. I really need to get a tablet so I can start sketching and inking electronically (I'd use the mouse, but my hand can't stay steady with it for more than 2 minutes. c.c;). Here's the thing- we gots a house, nice n' cozy, saving up enough to rent a truck and pay a few bills since we blew all our cash on a couple nights in a hotel room, so we can't go get our stuff out of storage. While we took the computer out so I could do some classwork while at the hotels, we didn't bother with the printer/scanner. Didn't think there was much use for it and it only made the cars more cramped. So nooooow...I'm stuck with a bunch of inked artwork I can't save to a computer, complete, and put up. D:
I'm sitting here under a small pile of piccys I drew while sitting around in parking lots and inns, I wanna show them off even though some of them are just sucky sketches, but I caaaaaaaaan't. ; 3; So people gotta wait a little longer. Posted 18 years agoGuess wha? After a month and 13 days, we finally got that house. X_X;
That is an experience I never wanna go through again. I'm afraid I actually might too. Now that my mom's got a home, I'm off in search of my own, and who knows how that's gonna go! I've already got one place lined up though, possibly, and a roommate too; but that depends on if I can get that second job lined up to pay rent. Odd how this happens on the last day of classes for the period too. Or maybe it's a blessing. Now I don't have to hitch rides all the way over the bridge anymore. AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA...I need to get my license back.
As for mum's new house, it's reaaaaally purdy. A little smaller, but I think that's good. For their size, townhouses are quite cozy. There's little backyard where I'm sure she's gonna put a garden, cool looking bathrooms, nice kitchen with this futuristic-lookin' stove left behind by the previous owners...very nice. There is one messed up part though. I didn't really look at it much, but it bugged my grandma a bit- there was a chunk of the wall taken out when the movers to the last family banged their bed on the overhang above the staircase. It was fixed, but it was a very sloppy plaster job. You can definitely tell something happened there. No big deal though, right? Who honestly stares upward that much? :x
So all in all, I finally got to see this place and it's a lovely house...of course this is without all our junk moved into it. Last night, we were so tired we just crashed on the floors of our rooms using our laundry for cushions. Moving stuff in should be easier too. Unlike the last house, there's actually space beyond the door for the bigger stuff to fit inside without having to bash in the frame. XD

Posted 18 years agoOkay, so it's been a while since I said anything about my vagabondin' days. They were going pretty well actually, but financially, we's gonna be hurtin' bad for the next couple of months. I had no idea hotels were so friggin' expensive, and just for a couple days!
Yesterday was the last day we're able to spend in an air conditioned environment (aside from jobs n' school), and today is supposed to be the day things on the house are finally in order. Where have we heard that one before though, ne? D:
I did a really bad thing with the pets though. Up until yesterday, they'd been perfectly fine with hanging out in the cars since we couldn't bring them inside. The weather was nice, everything was fine, and they actually enjoyed the car more than they did walking around outside of it. Yesterday, I thought was going to be pretty much the same. It was nice n' cool in the morning, looked like it was going to be the same as the other days, so I figure I can stay in the hotel room for a while. In that while, it heated up to over 90 degrees. I return three hours later to check on them with my mom after saying "Oh, they're just fine, they drank lots, were real perky, yadda yadda." We get to the car, they're sprawled out all over the seats panting all heavy-like, tongues lolling from their mouths, etc. The cats were really having a problem. Being furrier, it was hotter for them and they kinda had trouble holding down the water they drank before I went inside. Poor animals. I'm a very bad person. ;___;
They're okay now though. Some more water and a nice car ride and they were all perked up again. I feel really, really bad about that though. I should've checked on them a lil' bit more instead of slacking off and telling my mom they'd be fine just to get her to stop bugging me about it. I do that a lot, but I've never done anything that hurt them before. I feel especially sorry for my older dog. He refused to move for hours...and then after everybody was all worried about him dying, he jumps up and starts skipping around after the sun set. 5 second recovery right there. Never really saw that before.
So yus, in short, things better come to a close or I'll be leaving the state or something along those lines, I am a terrible person who abused his animals and won't do it again (or suffer with them and more if it comes to it), and summer break's coming next week, so I'll be doing a lot of sitting in the car oven to repent n' stuff if we don't get this house. x3;

Posted 18 years agoOkay, for those of you who don't know and are still wondering wtf happened to me over the past week, I'm out of a home, I'm hungry, smelly, and have been sitting in a cramped car with four pets and a bunch of luggage for the past week. A bunch of crap happened last Thursday, I got thrown out of my dad's for practically no reason at all, my mom's got nowhere to go since paperwork confirmation stuff on her new house has been held up for a whole month and just yesterday, the scare of cops coming to drag her out of the old place due to an eviction came true. Why we couldn't just stay in the house til it actually happened, I'll never know. That couch was a much more comfy pillow than my sister's dog.
And I know what some of you are thinking now- you're 21, almost 22. Why don't you have your own place? I don't because, in a nutshell, I've had to take care of what my father wouldn't ever since I graduated from highschool. Divorces and selfish ex's suck like that. My mom has hated his guts all these years, and now I'm finally starting to understand a bit why. And had he just waited another week before kicking me out, I could've had a decent place and not come to school and work looking like a bum everyday, much less smelling like one. ( Five days without a shower and smelly pets do not mix. Bleh. D: )
So now, me and my mom are in search of a temporary place to crash til things finally get back in line. Currently, she's with my older sister and her roommates. I stayed there last night, but there's no way it's gonna work out. I mean, I love 'em, they're awesome and very considerate, but I don't think I'll have much peace of mind. They're a little too...hospitable? Ah well. Looking at the up-side to things, I'm still employed, I'm still in college, and I guess a car's better than concrete. Time for a Comeback!
Posted 18 years agoOkay, so here's the deal. It all started when I lost another job, and with it, internet. This time, I wasn't fired though. The place closed down on meh. D: And honestly, if I don't find a second job soon to help me get through art classes, debts n' stuff, this return's gonna be short-lived. But for now, I'm back! Mwahahahaha!
...okay, really I've been back longer than I'm letting on. Thing is though, I've been sticking to mainly DA and been too lazy to post here, as well as Sheezy. That changes today. Starting today, or rather when I wake up and get through classes n' such tomorrow, I'm gonna be working on one helluvan upload for all three spots. I've been rather busy of the months, but never had a chance to put everything up. So stay tuned! =^______^=

Posted 19 years agoOkie...my activity on here has been rather sucky lately, so...I'm here to fix that with yet another excuse as to why my lazy butt hasn't been showing up! X3
For the most part, I was actually being constructive! Art-wise, I've been working on one of the two comic projects I was starting up, though I don't know if they'll ever reach the net. Unfortunately, I do need a bit of help seeing as my mind can't seem to get past comprehending the basics of computers. xD Aside from that, I got a few other updates to make to the site; but that's going to be a while longer. A few more computer problems.
Outside of art...I FINALLY GOT A JOB!!! ^______^ I work at Doc Greens now. It's a new place that opened up right next to the old resturaunt I'd been at. Pay's not too great and I am planning on looking elsewhere very soon if things don't pick up, but hey. Keeps me from getting thrown out on my ear until I can finalize plans to move out. Yes, I said move out. It's been three years after I graduated, and everyday I loathed being stuck in the house. But now, I finally picked myself up and managed to stay up this time, so I'll be getting some roommates in the next couple of months if things go well.
Let's see...what else...oh yeah. I know it's been a while since I said that stuff about being open for commissions soon, I know it's taking way too long, but just wait a bit longer if you're interested. Or just take advantage of the situation and request a crapload of free stuff! XD Depending on how that goes though, don't expect me to remember. Poor Kyre has been waiting for months for me to finish up the stuff I owe him. Almost done though!
Aaaaand I think that about wraps it up for now. Things are going to be slow on here a while mores, but I will be coming by regulary to see what's what. So don't be afraid to drop me a line. Ciao! ^____^ /

Posted 19 years agoThat phonecall couldn't have been timed any better- I got craploads of work to do today, and I get called up for an interview tomorrow at a bookstore...well not really the bookstore, but the little cafe inside it. The reason it's perfect in timing is I was just about ready to head out the door.
Aside from that though, this is good news. Finally after five months of looking, another REAL job! Or at least a shot at one. It's just an interview and my last ones weren't all that great. So wish me luck. Hopefully I'll land this one and you'll be seeing a lot more of me once I get some monetary problems taken care of. ^___^
