Cleaning out a Decade of FA faves...
Posted 3 years agoStill deep in it, still in it from "faved over 10 years ago" territory. Not that I think all the art is bad, just that I don't think I'd fave it these days. Curation is good and important, I think! Especially since my tastes have changed quite a bit since then.
Yeesh, me from a decade ago really did just sorta fave nearly anything, it feels like. "Ooh this artist posted something new, gotta fave it!" Faves aren't likes, Past Me!

That was a quick and easy sort.
Posted 10 years agoNot too much sorting of EVERYTHING, but boob-pet stuff and other tf stuff. BECAUSE REASONS.

Opinion Piece: Thoughts on Art Requests
Posted 10 years agoI'm not an artist. And I know that artists tend to get bugged about free art. Commissions are an important source of income for artists. However, I feel like the relationship between artists and requesters is way more abrasive than it needs to be. Given, some people essentially try to ask for a commission for free, and that's not an okay thing to do, but sometimes I get an idea in my head and think "oh man, that'd be really cool to see visualized" but then don't have money. I'm not going to go begging for free art, but, y'know, it'd be really cool to see.
I think it'd be cool if more artists had a "suggestion box" of sorts. Something they'd have no obligation to actually use, but something where, at some point, they might say "hey, I'm not sure what I should draw", and then voila, they have a huge pile of suggestions on what to draw. Obviously the suggestions would need to be fairly reduced in description. Perhaps a sentence or two, tops. Other guidelines would need to be set in place. But *anything* other than getting angry at each other.
