Trying
Posted 9 months agoWell, another year is almost gone, and I keep forgetting about my account here.
Book #4 is still in the first draft stages, but it is almost complete! Based on my average writing speed...I'd say it will probably be ready by next summer.
I guess one reason I'm not a fast writer is that I'm doing it as a hobby, much like my 3D models and art. I have a full-time job to support me, but that also means I don't feel the pressure to provide content.
That's bad, and I know it. To be honest, I am getting a little tired of being a graphic artist, and would love to switch to writing full time. but that also means networking and sharing my ideas with other creatives that could help with the publishing process. That's a difficult thing to do when you've built a whole world you care about and don't want anyone to mess with.
But, well, God is good, and I have faith that things will work out in the end, maybe in ways I can't see yet.

Still Alive!
Posted 4 years agoYup, still here...
Making progress on my third book, in the final revisions now. This one has taken me quite a while, and it wasn't just the whole 2020/post-2020 mess.
This story flows differently than the previous two, I ended up going through lots of rewrites when certain parts didn't mesh.
I hope to have it ready for publishing by summer next year. I'm also planning on releasing a 2nd Edition of my first book, Mark of the Tiger's Stripe, mostly because the original distribution isn't as broad as I would like it to be.
And this all reminds me that I really need to pay attention to my website and keep it up to date. -_-
Glad I'm just doing this for fun, if I needed to sell books to eat I'd be dead of starvation by now!

Gosh I need to keep this updated...
Posted 5 years agoSo...news...
You know, I read posts from my friends both here and on Deviant Art, and I have come to realize something: I have a pretty drama-free life.
I mean, thank God for that, but it's true. If anything, my only complaint is that I'm almost 40 and still single. Just me and my cat, alone, in my own home, with a stable job...and some chronic back pain because I sit in front of the computer too much.
But yeah, even with all the crazy stuff going on in the world at large, life is pretty good right now.
I'll dig through my files and see if there's anything new I haven't posted yet.
Oh! My second book, The Black Horns, is available on Amazon and I'm hard at work on book #3. If you're wondering what my series is like, it's kind of like Beastars...with less drama and more explosions...also no black market for carnivores because there's plenty of non-sentient animals to eat.

The Black Horns - delayed
Posted 6 years agoSo...I had really hoped to have book #2 published by now, but there's been a delay in the proofing process (three chapters had to be rewritten in order to not completely derail the plot).
I hope to publish mid-February.

Book 2!
Posted 7 years agoIt's almost done!
One more chapter to run through Grammarly and it will be ready for final review!
I hope to have it published before the end of the year.

Busy...kind of
Posted 9 years agoSo, uh, the reason I haven't posted much artwork lately is I've switched formats. I'm writing now instead of drawing, modeling.
Since Sep-Oct last year I've been writing out the story I had originally planned to do as a web comic in novel form. If my calculations are correct I already have 272 pages in a rough draft and the story is not complete. I plan to self publish it when it's done, so be on the look out!

Farewell, Monty Oum
Posted 10 years agoSad to hear that Monty Oum of Rooster Teeth died recently. I really liked RWBY. It was inspiring because the team weas actually doing something with their creative talents. I've been sitting on my web-comic idea for almost eight years now and haven't any clear vision of when I'll ever get the first pages assembled and rendered, let alone published. Mostly it's due to real world constraints. I can't pay my student loan on dreams. I've toyed with asking for help, but I'm so very worried about art thieves I'm scared to death of reaching out (despite knowing people who are interested in the project).
Slow updates
Posted 12 years agoThank you all very much for the watches and favorites!
I've found myself in a position where I have a lot of extra time on my hands, but contrary to expectations I've actually been doing less artwork than I wanted.
But I have been doing some, so hopefully some new stuff will show up soon. I also still have old artwork from Deviant Art that I haven't posted here yet, but that's padding.
I'm probably not the only one who is slow to update around here, but now that I have some watchers I feel responsible for keeping you up to date. :)
And while on the subject of FA, does anyone else have a problem with the submission categories? It feels kind of restrictive. Nearly every piece I've submitted since joining has been lumped under "digital/general furry" and then maybe a species tag if I find one that fits. I feel like they really need to expand it.

Joining FA
Posted 12 years agoWell I've had a warm welcome so far, but I do feel a little bad for not having any favorites yet.
Hopefully this will change over time, but I admit I've got a little apprehension about being a member here.
I do not like mature artwork and the most you will get out of me is a girl in a bikini.
Unfortunately FA has a bad reputation for being nothing but a huge collection of furry pr0n.
Now with the filter on I can see that isn't so, but you know the stigma.
I really like sci-fi and fantasy stuff, so look for that kind of stuff to show up in my favorites.
