Help me Save my Max
General | Posted 6 years agoMax was diagnosed with non-effusive Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) in October 2019, just making him 6 months old. Until recently this viral infection had no cure but euthanasia, and if left untreated kills the cat within days to weeks if the effusive (wet) version or weeks to months if the non-effusive (dry) version - which is what Max has.
I am not a person that normally asks others to help me, but being un-employed/freelance artist my income changes greatly from month to month. Here are some ways you can help Max and me, by either donating to tip jar, buying my product from etsy, commission art work (pm me with what you like), or just sharing his story with others.
You can also follow our journey on instagram that I have created for my cats.
I'm post his journey through the treatment and the group support that I am recieving. Along with bonus stories of his other two house mates Mavis and Haru.
The total cost of treatment for Max the number is so high it's probably a little bit insane (and more than what I am asking for). Not only is there the cost of the medicine to consider, but also vet visits, blood work, labs and anything else that might come up that needs to be checked. Plus after his treatment is done he will need to continue getting blood tests frequently to make sure he stays in remission.
This was not an expense I could have ever foreseen, but after losing my cat Mars June 26, 2019 there was no way I couldn't try and save my Maximillian, no matter the cost. He's only a baby and has lots of life to live!
FIP is no longer a death sentence, there is hope. Max (and many others) are proving it every day. Thank you for your consideration. If there are any left over funds they will be donated to FIP research.
Remember it takes a village and some miracles need a helping hand.
From Max and my family, Thank You!
